Kiiitv Presents Three Part Series on Texas UFOs, with Videos
    UFO Part 1

In early January, people began spotting UFO's in the skies above North Central Texas. the sightings made national and international headlines. Amazingly, witnesses say the objects are still appearing at night.

So, we sent our Michael Gibson over to investigate the matter. Here's the first installment of his three part series on the UFO's over Stephenville and Dublin.

    See Video, Part 1.

    http://www.kiiitv.com/news/15295861.html

    Part 2

Were there alien spaceships flying over Stephenville, or are they part of some top secret military program? James Huse saw two large red orbs hovering above the City back on January 8th. "If they came from someplace else, then they came in peace, at least they did this time."

David Caron videotaped a wild light show in the sky on January 19th. "I just can't figure out what it is but I'd like to know what it is I would really like to know what I'd seen out there that night."

Steve Hudgeons is hoping to get to the bottom of what everyone has been seeing. Hudgeons is a project manager at a construction company in Ft. Worth. He's also an investigator with the Mutual UFO Network or MUFON. We asked him why all of a sudden there have been so many sightings of unexplained objects in the skies of Erath County he told us, "Well like I was telling you before I think the sightings have always remained the same a constant amount it's just that people don't report them because of the giggle factor."

Hudgeons says MUFON went down to the Dublin/Stephenville area where all the sightings took place. They asked witnesses to write down everything they could remember. All that information will be put together as part of report MUFON expects to release later in March on the UFO's. While MUFON investigators in the Dallas Ft. Worth area are trying to get to the bottom of what exactly was in the skies over the Dublin Stephenville area, there's a man down in Glen Rose by the name of Steve Allen who's also hot on the trail of the UFO's.

He was the first to spot them. The Glen Rose trucking company owner says he'd always wanted to see one, but never expected to actually have a close encounter. Now, he just wants some answers about the bright lights he saw on January 8th which were racing across the sky at what he says was the speed of light with air force jets in pursuit. "We're all pushing for a congressional hearing maybe the truth will come out that way."

Angelia Joiner is a reporter with the Stephenville Empire Tribune. When she heard about Allen's UFO experience she says she knew she had a great story on her hands. One which ended up being front page headlines all over the world. But her story didn't go very far with airforce officials when she tried to get their side of the UFO sighting.

"They said the jets were from their base in Fort Worth but on a training mission so when I asked questions similar to what you asked me they couldn't go into it for national security reasons we are a nation at war is what he said."

We also asked the Air Force about the objects in the sky. A spokeswoman with the 301st fighter wing from Carswell Air Force base in Ft. Worth told us that the pilots were on a routine training mission and they didn't see anything unusual. While there are so many unanswered questions about the lights in the skies above Erath county, there's no question business has picked up because of the mystery.

    Part 3

Tuesdays are dollar burger night at Jake and Dorothy's Café in Stephenville. A diner that's been around since 1948. Along with the great food and service, customers now have something else to rave about. The UFO's which have been seen hovering over the city since early January. Bill Voorhies was eating his burger when we asked him about the UFO's,"I don't know what it is, I know it's something that is unusual and weird I think it might be some kind of secret weapon." Joe Kennedy was sitting nearby and had this to say,"I'm not worried about it at all as far as whether we are being invaded no I'm not worried it's probably something that could be government."

Peewee Young was eating with Kennedy and also felt there wasn't much to worry about,"It's not bothering me one way or the other if they want me they can come get me, but I go about my business."

We found Ida Benby and Cyndi Godwin sitting down for a bite to eat with their mom. Sisters who are on the opposite side of the UFO debate around town. Ida thinks it's probably a figment of people's active imaginations, "I don't believe it's real and I haven't seen anything I'd hate to say we have a bunch of crazy people around here." Then she began to laugh, but her sister, Cyndi Godwin, wasn't laughing, she thinks there maybe something to all of this, "Does it scare me, no, or I wouldn't be out and about I'm not going to go down in my cellar and lock myself up or jump off a tall building just because they're sightings I'm looking forward to seeing one."

All of this UFO buzz is quite a change for an area known for it's dairy industry. But now the cows are helping fuel alien madness. Coyote Designs is making up hundreds of t-shirts where a cow is being beamed up by a UFO. Not a mass merchandising effort you might expect. Actually the company is selling the t-shirts for the local high school science club. It's an effort to raise money for scholarships. Tommy Cochran is the owner of the shop,"We delivered 12-hundred to the highschool yesterday evening they were all pre-sold we agreed to take over the sales because they needed to get back to teaching and we're printing 500 right now we already have orders to ship all over the United States."

So far, the shirt sales have beamed up over 4-thousand dollars for the science club. Down at the Dublin Dr Pepper bottling plant there's a lot to see and do. People can enjoy a great meal and of course a Dr Pepper. They can also take a tour of the museum or the bottling plant. Then there's a display in the soda shop they might not be able to pass up. It's a black t-shirt with white lettering. On the front a spaceship is beaming up Dr Pepper.

The brainchild of the Creative Director for the plant, Jeff Pendleton, "When the stories came out about the UFO sightings in the area, just as a joke I put a small cartoon in the paper the cartoon had a picture of a spaceship beaming Dr Pepper aboard and the tag line was, we all know why they're here and couple of people called me and wondered when the shirts would be out."

We're told that with every t-shirt sold, the company will turn over five dollars to the American Cancer Society. People say they don't expect the UFO craze to last much longer. But who knows? If the mysterious lights and flying objects continue to show up, Erath County may soon find itself known as, 'the new Roswell.' Michael Gibson Three News.

Stephenville, Texas UFO - Empire Tribune Writer Silenced!!
    UFO

I'm sure that by now everyone is fully aware of the recent Stephenville UFO sightings, the reason you will know most of what you do is down to the tenacity, integrity and honesty of a reporter for the local paper (The Empire Tribune).

I'm talking about, Angelia Joiner (ex-staff writer).

Over the course of the last month, Angelia has endeared herself to all of the Texas UFO witnesses by providing them with support, acting as a confidante and giving them a much needed voice by telling their stories in her articles.

Here are a couple of emails that Angelia exchanged with the Admin (Bren Burton) of the Open Minds Forum. While Angelia didn't post the messages to the forum personally she gave Bren permission for them to be posted (7th February 2008).

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I think my readers would find a lot more of this sort of story interesting but my newspaper doesn't want any more stories. My boss feels it's time to move on. A city councilman here talked to the Star-Telegram and said the whole thing was an embarrassment to the town (or something to that effect.).

It has been a tough decision but I gave my two weeks notice last Thursday and my last day will be Feb. 14. At that time, I will be unemployed so I probably will substitute teach for a while.[...]

I joined your group because I was so impressed with how nice the men were to offer to help Ricky Sorrells. I don't know how that went yesterday but I could see they were sincerely concerned about him and his situation. That was impressive and I like people that care about others.

[...] I don't want to say anything bad about the newspaper. They are just not interested any more. But it was a record sales month in the history of the E-T for JAN. so I feel good about that.

It's funny how one day I was sitting on top of a huge global story and practically the next I'm looking for a job. Life...it's full of surprises. And, I think that's a good thing. Here's hoping there is something better around the corner.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I gave two weeks notice but this morning they had confiscated my computer and I was told to pack up and get out. I'm devastated and still in shock.

I was trying to direct people away from talking to me about UFOs and other information during work hours and I had forwarded emails to my home computer so I would not be dealing with that on newspaper time. But, apparently that wasn't the right thing to do either.

I've just been between a rock and a hard spot if you know what I mean.

The publisher said she didn't want me to leave with ill feelings toward the newspaper and I'm trying not to. I'm grateful for the opportunity the newspaper gave me in employing me as a writer. I have only been writing for them 18 months and I've learned a lot but I still have a lot more to learn."

(Please note the diplomacy that Angelia displayed in the above, which was a private correspondence - “I don't want to say anything bad about the newspaper. They are just not interested any more. But it was a record sales month in the history of the E-T for JAN. so I feel good about that.”)

    Japan interested in UFO sighting

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Friday, January 25, 2008

Steve Allen is haggard. He's hardly sleeping and his mug is becoming familiar on news programs all over the world. Still, he's not given up on his quest for video or photos of what he says was an unidentified flying object he saw with friends on the evening of Jan. 8. The sighting was so odd it defies explanation, and he's been heard to say over and over, “It definitely wasn't from these parts. The military only wishes they had something like that…..Videos are starting to come out,” Allen said. “I've gotten about ten but only two are worth anything.”

    ‘Funny lightning' leads to video

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Sunday, January 27, 2008

Stephenville resident David Caron said it was his seven-year-old grandson, Jeremiah that first alerted him to “funny lightning in the sky.” “That was on Friday evening, January 18,” Caron said. “I went out and saw the skies were clear, you know, he's just a kid. I didn't think that much about it.” It wasn't until the next night that Caron realized exactly why his grandson made the comment and what he meant when he said, “Papa come look. There's funny lightning in the sky.”

    Pilots dispute military statement

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Sunday, January 27, 2008

At least three pilots in Stephenville disagree with the military's press release issued Wednesday. Steve Allen, Don “Doc” Stewart and Todd Downs all say if Stephenville and the Selden area are in the Brownwood Military Operating Area, it's news to them.

If anyone in the world hasn't heard of Stephenville , Texas , it could only be for one reason - they're not listening. Stephenville continues to capture national and international attention with news crews coming from all over the world. Last weekend, a Brazilian news crew came, while another is expected to come from Japan .

Science club shirts are a hit!

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Thursday, January 31, 2008

The community went wild over UFO T-shirts designed by Pam Kinsel and Abby Cranford, both juniors, for the Stephenville High School Science Club. According to Kimberlea Adams, teacher and club sponsor, 1,200 shirts were pre-sold at $10 each. “We have raised more than $4,000 for scholarships,” Adams said. “We will award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving senior this year and for the next three years.”

    UFO witness claims harassment

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Sunday, February 3, 2008

Ricky Sorrells is frustrated and a little angry. Since his interview with the Associated Press, Sorrells has stayed quiet regarding the daytime UFO sightings on his property near Dublin . And, there is more than one reason for his silence. Sorrells believes military officials have been harassing him by flying military aircraft over his property at low altitudes, at all hours of the day and night. Sorrells runs livestock on his place and said the cattle don't react well to the disturbances. It's also been hard to get any sleep.

More twists in the Sorrells' saga

    By ANGELIA JOINER Staff Writer

    Monday, February 4, 2008

Answers: Ricky Sorrells just wants answers. And, in light of what he's been through, it doesn't seem to be a lot to ask. Witnessing an unidentified flying object four times since the beginning of the new year, then having military aircraft whizzing over his land and disrupting his sleep and livestock, followed by a string of mysterious phone calls and in person encounters from individuals demanding he “shut up” about what he saw, and landing unexpectedly in the international spotlight, has taken a toll on the 37-year-old man accustomed to the simple life.

(And here's the only article written about the incident since her departure)

    Don't look, Ethel!

Tuesday, February 5, 2008 Erath County , an hour's drive southwest of Fort Worth , is known for cow-milkin' and Dr Pepper-drinkin'. Locals think that when media folks land there in numbers, they're “sniffing out” whatever the college kids at Tarleton are up to. But, times they are a changin'. Something big, fast and mysterious streaked across the night sky there recently, and some 50 people saw it. They're ruling out just one possibility-it was NOT the cow jumping over the moon. Whatever it was has perked up the economy a “right smart,” as my old mama would say....

    Source – Empire Tribune - http://tinyurl.com/ywwf5m

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be fair, the last article (Don't look, Ethel!) doesn't dispute any of the earlier evidence, nor does it disagree that something was definitely witnessed in the skies over Texas, but what it does do is present the events in what is presumably thought to be from a less confrontational viewpoint. It's this diluted, trivialised style of presentation that has served only to add the, “Giggle factor” to media reports on the UFO phenomenon and further detract what from the real issues and further destroy what little credibility the subject currently has. I should also point out that NO references are made to any of the original witnesses, and perhaps more noticeably there's no reference to the plight of Ricky Sorrells.

The last two stories about the UFO incident that Angelia Joiner had published were direct witness statements relating to how Ricky Sorrels was being subjected to cowardly, underhand and despicable scare tactics in an effort to intimidate him by (one can only assume) whichever faction of the government and/or military deals with harassing innocent citizens.

The articles reported facts that included low flying military craft over his property at all hours, strange and threatening telephone calls from people who knew more that they would tell and made threats like, “Son, we have the same calibre weapons as you do but a lot more of them.” Also shadowy figures making themselves known on his property in the middle of the night. (It is thought that the shadowy figure left a little message for Ricky in the form of a bullet as it was found at the spot the stranger was lurking). If ever it sounded like someone needed reassurance and a way to voice his experiences, it was Ricky Sorrells.

I don't doubt for a second that the decision to confiscate her computer and ask her to leave the premises had nothing to do with her immediate superiors other than their compliancy with whomever applied the pressure, that still in no way absolves them of blame, neither does it justify their actions in any way, shape or form.

The decision seems particularly unjust when you consider that it's these same people who have obviously authorised the articles for publication in the first place. Angelia has said in a subsequent post at the Open Minds Forum that (8th February 2008):

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What made yesterday so shocking was the fact that I considered my bosses (publisher and editor) friends, too. I was made to feel like a criminal and I don't think I deserved that. In a small setting you get close to the people you work for and I just never expected what happened and was (and still am) completely baffled.”

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the letters section of the Empire Tribune is any reliable gauge of the feelings of the readership then they seem to not only be embracing the current situation but they are positively enthusiastic about it.

    Letter To the editor,

    Sunday, January 27,

Need a little good news today? Well, it has come from your very own hometown. In a world beset by an unrelenting stream of bad things from Baghdad to Wall Street, Stephenville somehow brought a smile to the world at large. With the recent UFO sightings in these parts, the average person could grin for a brief moment and then wonder about the possibilities of the universe.

Whether you believe that we are alone or not in this vast cosmos is not the point. It's how we reacted to the moment. If people all around the globe, hearing of what one little town deep in the heart of Texas experienced, looked up into their night sky and perhaps pondered, however briefly, that we are all not that much different, good for us. If one little speck on the world map could perhaps embrace something from another world, there is hope.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Evidently their soaring sales, massive spike in web activity and encouraging a greater sense of community within their readership doesn't mean a great deal. This certainly begs the question of exactly which agenda are they working from as they obviously aren't aiming for increased sales and they don't appear to be listening to or accommodating the wishes of their readership, the good people of Stephenville.

Remember Angelia Joiner was just the messenger, doing the job she was paid to do, the job she was asked to do. Because she doesn't compromise her ethics, because Angelia Joiner genuinely cares about the witnesses (and what happens to them AFTER they talk to her) because she strives for the truth so that she may share it with us all, it seems that the these traits make her an expendable asset, when it should really make her indispensable to all except the most corrupt and biased of organisations, but more than that, these traits should make people like Angela Joiner a necessity.

In fact, if these are not the character traits that the Empire Tribune actively encourages and demands from their staff, what traits exactly do they feel are becoming of a reporter? What could they be if not integrity, loyalty and honesty? And more importantly why should anyone trust anything that is printed by a media organisation whose ethics, values and morals are not only flexible but apparently negotiable?

Whether you've followed the story since the start, only read one or two articles, or if this recent debacle is your introduction to it, I urge you to contact the publisher and the editor at the Empire Tribune and voice your concerns at their decision to silence Angelia Joiner and consequently silence the Stephenville community. They need to know that this unwarranted suppression hasn't gone unnoticed, let them know that their actions are under public scrutiny as they should be, and let them know that ultimately they are accountable for their own decisions.

    Australian Pilot Reports UFO
UFO Australia-Southeast of Tamworth NSW Lat 31 deg 29 mins 23 secs south; Long 150 deg 58 min 57 sec east and I think it was September 2006-I get sick of so-called experts quoting people like Einstein and saying things like "all the energy of all the oil in the world couldn't possibly make something go at the speed of light" and all sorts of other sophisticated, intellectual facts. They are wrong to have such closed minds.

About 15 months ago I was working on my farm on a perfectly clear spring morning with not a whisper of breeze. I looked up into the sky and I saw a very bright spherical object travelling towards the north west about 70 degrees up from the horizon - so it was nearly overhead. I am a commercial pilot with 1500 hours in command experience so I know about aeroplanes and what satellites look like.

At first I thought it was a silver weather balloon with the sun reflecting off it, or maybe a daytime flare from a satellite but my theories were soon shown to be wrong. This object started to move slightly erratically, then it slowed right down, did a 270 degree turn to the left and then it stopped dead still for about 10 seconds. At that stage I was thinking it is a weather balloon caught it some upper air disturbance but then the object just shot off towards the south east - it didn't accelerate, it just suddenly moved at some enormous speed.

It disappeared behind a tree and so I walked westwards to catch sight of it again - that took maybe 5 to 10 seconds. When I saw the object again it was way, way south just above the horizon. From my flying experience I would say that it was about 10,000 ft AGL - it would have had to be to be visible so far away. All the while I was watching this object there was absolutely no noise - as I said it was a clear spring morning about 10 am, not a breath of wind and not even any birds were singing so if it had made any sort of man made noise I would have heard it.

This was no aeroplane or satellite or weather balloon. It irritates me when intellectuals quote Einstein to discount the possibility of science way beyond our understanding. If, for instance, these beings have the power to control gravity that opens up a whole new field of physics. They maybe able to control time, maybe instead of physically moving they move using time.

We should keep an open mind - no matter who says what, I know what I saw and it certainly was no man made object.

Not long after that sighting I am sure I saw another. I looked up to watch the QANTAS Dash 8 aircraft on descent for Tamworth at noon - I live about 28 DME to the SE of Tamworth. I know they pass overhead here at 5000 ft AGL. I saw a black kite shaped object erratically zig zagging just below and just behind the Dash 8. Firstly I thought it was a bird but quickly realized it wasn't. There was a very stiff SE wind blowing and this object was traveling in a NW to SE general direction, in other words straight into the wind - it would zig one way, hesitate, zag back the other, hesitate and then zig again and so on.

And it was so quick between the zigs, I mean it didn't accelerate or decelerate, it just moved and stopped - each "leg" would have been about 1 km I suppose. It didn't appear to make any noise but then again the Dash 8 was whining away so I couldn't really tell. No bird could do that into such a stiff SE wind - my windsock here was showing a wind of about 12 knots. As I said this black object was kite shaped but instead of straight sides they were concave and it was about the size of a family car - I could tell that as I had a very good reference - the Dash 8. I watched in amazement for maybe 60 to 70 seconds as this thing zigged zagged its way out of sight.

I have to say again, it is the height of human arrogance to think that everything in the Universe is limited by the laws of physics as we know them - in the last couple of decades haven't they discovered that at an atomic level the laws of physics as we know them don't work?

Just to add to my "Theory" - if these craft or aliens or UFO's or whatever one wants to call them can control gravity they probably have no mass and if they have no mass goodness knows what they could be able to do - certainly the way they move so instantaneously and erratically without accelerating or decelerating sure indicates to me they have no mass. Intellectuals like to quote Einstein and the likes - didn't Newton work out 1G=9.8 m/sec/sec? What if G=0? or maybe they can control time so in that case G might equal a negative value (in the true sense). When we move, we physically move to go from point A at time Y to point B at time Y+ seconds. If we could control time we could say "here we are at point A and in x seconds (or - x) I want to be at point B" so we just "time shift" without actually physically moving. These are my theories and a physicist would probably ridicule them but, they don't know everything, that is for sure.

Possible UFO Landing Marks in Lindley, New York
Lindley NY, off of Highway 15 near Pennsylvania border-On February 5, 2008, about noon, a friend and I were at my property I just bought. I was showing him the work that needed to be done like mowing, leveling, and weed wacking, when we came across this perfect circle in the field.

We said, "Wow, check this out."

So we went in looking around, and couldn't believe the things just in this circle while everything around it stayed untouched. There where plants sucked of life, and looked like burned areas. We both laughed and said a UFO landed here, so I came home and got the camera and took these photos... you decide-just weird to me.

Should We Tell E.T. to Stay Home?
    UFO ET Stay Home!

Saturday, February 02, 2008-We should resist the efforts of Russian scientists to contact aliens who could threaten our very existence

They sent the first satellite into space. They got the first mammal into orbit, and then the first human being. Now, the Russians are pursuing an altogether more ambitious extraterrestrial project. They're actively trying to make contact with alien beings. And some astronomers fear the project could have catastrophic consequences.

Of course, efforts to pick up incoming signals from alien entities are well established. Over 170,000 volunteers worldwide are currently using their home computers to help analyse radiotelescope data for the eight-year-old Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Seti) programme run by the University of California Berkeley's space sciences laboratory. Cornell University astronomers operating the world's largest radiotelescope, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, are delivering 100,000 gigabytes of information a year to the project - roughly the amount of data stored in the US Library of Congress.

However, a very different exercise has been undertaken by the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. It depends not on listening for signs of life from outside, but on transmitting powerful radio signals deep into space in the hope that these will be recognised and decoded by alien lifeforms. People have toyed with this idea (now known as "active Seti") since the 19th century, and messages were once sent to supposed inhabitants of the moon. Now, however, Alexander Zaitsev, the chief scientist at the Moscow academy's institute of radio engineering, has been using a 70m-wide radiotelescope at the Evpatoria Deep Space Centre in the Ukraine to project state-of-the-art active-Seti messages to nearby star systems.

The problem is obvious. If we discover alien life ourselves, we can decide what, if anything, to do about it. If, on the other hand, we alert aliens to our own existence, we'll be at their mercy. There's no reason to suppose they'd be friendly. On the contrary, Independence Day may provide us with a more useful model than Close Encounters.

After all, we earthlings have hardly shown an invariably benevolent attitude to such new lifeforms as we have come across. Why should aliens be any different? Any who prove capable of interpreting our messages are likely to be far more advanced than we are. Though we can't at present envisage a means by which they could travel the vast distances that would separate us from them, they might well be capable of destroying, transporting or dismantling us by some form of remote control.

Not long ago, the idea that an extraterrestrial civilisation might threaten us would have been dismissed as far-fetched. No longer. Recent simulations of known extrasolar planetary systems have found that about half of them could be expected to harbour an earth-like world. There's no reason to suppose that intelligent life hasn't evolved on some of these planets as it has on earth, and there's every reason to guess that some of the lifeforms involved would by now be far more developed than our own.

As long ago as the 1970s, Sir Martin Ryle, the then Astronomer Royal, warned that "any creatures out there" might be "malevolent or hungry". The late Ronald Bracewell, a Stanford University astronomer, argued that alien creatures would be likely to be both cunning and well armed. Another influential astronomer, Zdenek Kopal, told a British colleague: "Should we ever hear the space-phone ringing, for God's sake let's not answer. We must avoid attracting attention to ourselves.

"It's hardly surprising, then, that the recent Russian activity has aroused disquiet among those in a position to evaluate it. Two leading scientists are reported to have resigned last month from an international group supposed to keep an eye on such matters, because they feared it wasn't doing enough about the dangers posed by active Seti.

Michael Michaud, a former US deputy assistant secretary of state for science, and John Billingham, a former chief of the Nasa Seti office, apparently quit the International Academy of Astronautics' Seti study group in protest against its lassitude. Billingham said: "We're talking about initiating communication with other civilisations, but we know nothing of their goals, capabilities or intent."

So far, there's no reason to suppose that, if the Russians manage to discover any alien life, they'll be seeking to marshal its firepower in the new cold war against the west. All the same, there's clearly a danger that they might inadvertently prompt intergalactic annihilation. This may not be as pressing a matter as the perils being faced in Russia by the British Council's plucky staffers. Yet perhaps our formidable foreign secretary should none the less add active Seti to his growing list of concerns.

Many astronomers believe that any active Seti activity should have to be authorised in advance by the world's assembled governments. Isn't it time for Mr Miliband to tell President Putin in no uncertain terms that HMG will accept nothing less? Thereafter, we could all sleep safe in our beds once more.

1973-UFO Hovers over Power Plant Lake
UFO I want to report a UFO connected with water, that was silent, sitting extremely low approx 3 ft above the water with nothing between the craft and the water (saw no hose). I have reported my story on another known site since the Stephenville incident, when more people can say this woman is telling a very valid story.

It was late 1973, and I was 16, first time out in my first car. I'm now 50. The sighting was in Dallas Texas (Oak Cliff) at the elec plant on Mountain Creek Lake, near Mountain View College. Something I did not add to my first story which I feel is relevant, is my sighting was not far from the Army Air force Base in Grand Prairie, Texas.

My boyfriend and I were kind of forced off a hilly, lonely road where teens would go, by another car driving erratically. I was looking for a place to park, but after that car shook me up so bad I pulled into what would be the parking lot of this electric plant. Seemed like it was the back of the plant, but might have been the front. Do note there are "no swimming"signs all around. I've never gone back to the spot. There was parking, the lake, the big body of water, and then the plant with one big window showing some lights on inside.

The majority of the water between where we parked and the plant was taken over by this craft. As soon as we saw it, it looked like a UFO in our minds and to each other, but we ran many ideas back and forth what it could be and the first thing we discounted was a blimp. Not the right shape.

It was eerie that evening with no one else parked, not even employees cars, and not a sole looking out the window in the plant. We felt this craft would draw people to see it. This one was tall in height (like 2 or 3 stories high as I recall) and very wide and round but so big because we were so close we did not see all around it. That's why my sighting is indeed special because we were so close, we wondered why no one was looking out the window to the left of it, which was behind it.

That window wasn't on a first floor. I've seen some unclear pictures that might be this one, but apparently there is not just one size out there. This size was large and if there was that topper piece, I just don't recall it. We didn't see doors, windows, or any markings on it, but we felt windows might have been where the lights were coming from. The lights were like moving spot lights that moved up and down indicated it was running, because otherwise it was still and not hovering, and silent.

For some reason that was scary, like are they looking all around? At us? We didn't even think about getting out of the car, and in a period of 5 minutes or less (guessing) we determined this craft was fueling up or getting energy from the water and or currents below it, without going into the water or sending a hose down. Then again maybe the hose hadn't yet gone down to the water, because it wasn't leaving. It was a large silver (not shiny) craft sitting very still, at least 3 ft above the water. We couldn't understand how something so big could have that technology from this world, and had never discussed UFOs.

We quickly left. My Mother couldn't believe I came home at 10:20 or 10:30 when my new curfew was 11 PM, and I told her about it. We just wanted to go to our homes ASAP. If you want to write back, or hypnotize me to tell you the color of the lights and more, please do. This is something I want to do. I think red, green and white from the top but am not sure. I do remember the parking lot having amber night lights. As I said before if anything lit was underneath it I could not see it, but I was that close to it.

The Lock Raven Dam Incident, 1958
    UFO
On October 26, 1958 at 10:30 PM, near the Lock Raven Dam, north of Baltimore, Maryland, two men were traveling in a car. As they approached a bridge, they saw what appeared to be a flattened out egg-shaped object hovering approximately 100-150 feet from the top of the bridge.

Slowing their vehicle to get a better look, they approached to about 75 foot from the bridge. Suddenly, their car went completely dead. The two men stated that it was like they just cut the key off. Nothing electrical worked. The driver stopped the vehicle, and attempted to restart the engine, but to no avail.

The object and the malfunction of their vehicle frightened the men to the point that they hid behind their car. They were able to closely watch the UFO for 30-45 seconds. All at once, the object flashed a white light, causing the two witnesses to feel heat on their faces. The flash was accompanied by a loud sound, like thunder.

The UFO now began to slowly rise straight up. It was extremely bright as it did, causing the edge of the object to be fuzzy. Within 5-10 seconds the object was out of sight. The men were then able to restart their car, and rush to the nearest phone to report their sighting. The Ground Observor Corp was contacted first, but did not respond. The men then talked to the Towson Police Department, which sent two patrolmen to the scene.

The two men soon began to experience a burning sensation on their skin, and went to St. Joseph's Hospital in Baltimore for treatment. They were examined, and each man returned to his own home.

Follow-up investigation would reveal some more details of the incident. The bridge was double-arched, about 40 foot tall, and 500 feet long. The distance from the witnesses to the object was estimated at about 3/4 of a mile. Also, there was no unusual atmospheric conditions at the time, and the skies were clear.

Project Blue Book investigated the case, but found no absolute cause for the appearance of the object. The case remains unidentified, although the Air Force did state that the object constituted no security threat to the United States.

The two witnesses would subsequently be identified as Phillip Small and Alvin Cohen.

    Maryland-Extremely Bright Unknown Object
02-07-08-It was 6:55 PM EST, and I had just exited my house to go on an errand. I live in a court that has 5 houses in it, and I park my car on the outside edge of the court. As I was walking towards my car, I saw a bright star-like object in the southwest sky. It was the brightest thing I have ever seen in the sky. It was about 3-5 times brighter than anything I've ever seen in the sky, including a star or Venus.

I starred at it for approximately 5 seconds, before if faded out of my vision. It was not an airplane, a helicopter, a planet or star.

I am almost certain it was not the International Space Station passing through the sky, as I have seen that in the sky three times, and the object I saw on this evening was much brighter than that, and it did not move through space like the space station does. I was totally amazed about what I saw tonight. At first I thought that it might have been a star having a supernova, in fact I am pretty sure that's what it could have been. But since it was unidentified, I figured I'd share my story with your organization. source: www.mufon.com

    Ohio-Low, Blue, Blimp-like Object
02-03-08-I was driving east of Porter,Ohio on state route 554 at approximately 2:30-3:00 PM on Sunday. It was a cloudy day and the sun was hitting clouds directly in front of me and something caught my eye to where I slowed and tried to see it better. The clouds were low and colored from light to dark and I saw a blue blimp looking craft, not extremely high altitude it seemed. It seemed to be big, like a blimp and moved at a fairly good speed right amongst the clouds going from west to east in a straight line.

I had a car behind me, so I had to look at the road and drive, but it did not really fit that it moved steadily and at a good speed, but was not like a plane and was right in the rain clouds. I must admit, I just couldn't make a definite identification that quick, but as a few days went by, it just keeps sticking in my mind that it was out of place compared to anything I had ever seen. It was light blue, but as it went in front of darker clouds, it stood out from the background. I was just curious if anybody else had reported this. source: www.mufon.com

    Oklahoma-Dark, Triangle Object
02-07-08-My son and I were coming home from Skateland. As we approached our home, I looked up into the sky to see how many stars were out and I noticed a dark triangle object fly across the sky. I only saw it because of the street lights reflecting off the bottom of it. This object had no lights and no sound with it. I just got a new telescope, so I have been looking at the stars a lot lately.

Luckily I have seen more than stars. This is the second sighting for me here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. source: www.mufon.com

    Pennsylvania-Glowing Object
02-06-08-Traveling on Brownsville Road west coming toward the T intersection of Bernville/Robesonia road just north of Robesonia, I saw a glowing fireball in the horizon roughly over the town of Myerstown. The light would stay glowing in the same spot for 5-10 seconds then immediately go out, and another glow would appear just to the right of the previous glowing object.

The distance apart from the glowing object would be roughly the width of your thumb if you extended your arm toward the objects.

There were a total of 4 glowing objects that appeared. They did not appear at the same time, but in the a sequence moving right. When one would go out, another would appear to the right and stay lit and pulsating for 5-10 seconds.

This same sequence of glowing lights were witnessed by my brother, dad, and I almost 11 years ago Feb 20th 1997. We lived in Richland PA and saw the same type of light sequence over the town of Myerstown. My brother got a look at it with binoculars and could see tiny white sparkles circling the glowing objects. This latter sequence lasted much longer, around 30 minutes and ended with the orange glowing streaking off and disappearing. source: www.mufon.com

    Texas-02-01-08-Object Changes Direction
Houston-Today I saw an object apparently falling from the sky. It was very large, bigger than any jet. It left two streaks in the sky, similar to the exhaust from a jet but two separate streams and much larger. It was traveling very fast towards the north. Quickly it turned, changed direction, and headed east while still falling.

I called CNN and Houston news. I have sent them a poor picture taken with my phone that does show the exhaust-like streak it left in the sky. I was on the phone with my father while searching the sky for it, saw several fighter jets fly past towards the direction of the object. I was driving east on I-10. source: www.mufon.com
