MUFON Field Investigator Submits Photo of UFO
UFO

Dear UFO Casebook,

I have been reading your e-magazine for a long time now and I finally have a photo of my own to submit to you.

This photo was taken during the International UFO Conference (IUFOC) of 2007. I would say I took the photo on Thursday March 1st, 2007, at approx. 12:30 pm.

The sky was sunny and clear with a few clouds. The sun was almost directly above me at the time. There was nothing in the air or sky that was noticeably different, i.e. no smells, no sounds, no contrails from the object, nor any electromagnetic effects that I could determine.

The photo was taken with my Olympus OZ 80, 35mm camera using film 200. I was in my room during lunch and had a "hunch" to go outside my room and take photos of the eastern sky. I did not hear any man-made propulsion sounds and I did not see the object in the sky at the time of the picture.

I had a friend near me when I took the picture, but she did not notice anything in the sky at the time either. I do not know of anyone else who may have seen it. No missing time was experienced.

There is a small airport below where the object appears in the film, however, I have watched the airplanes land there several times throughout the week-long conference and they fly in from the southeast and head north to land at the airport.

The negative of the actual photo shows the same shaped object in white. I have submitted the actual photo to you as well as a "cropped" or "zoomed in" view of the object within the photo. These photos are free from any digital manipulation or computer enhancement accept for the "zoomed in" photo.

Thank you!

France Releases UFO Files
UFO France on Thursday became the first country to open its official archives on unidentified flying objects (UFO), said Jacques Patenet, the head of the UFO study group at the National Centre of Space Studies (CNES).

"It's a world first," Patenet said. "It's true that in the United States you can ask for information on a case-by-case basis. But we have done the opposite by putting all the information at the disposition of the public."

The archives are available at http://www.cnes-geipan.fr/geipan/ and currently contain 400 files, about one fourth of the approximately 1,600 UFO sightings reported in France since the 1950s.

All of the files are scheduled to be online by the end of the year, Patenet said.

"We are working on the principle that there is nothing we will not put online with one exception: protecting an individual's privacy," he noted.

The files comprise principally witness statements taken by police officers, with personal data erased.

Patenet cautioned that "ufologists will not find any scoops or unknown cases in this database."

Former Arizona Governor Now Admits Seeing UFO
J F Symington III Fife Symington Decides To Set Record Straight Ten Years After Famed Phoenix Lights Incident

By Leslie Kean

Ten years after the Arizona UFO incident known as the 'Phoenix Lights', former Arizona Republican Governor Fife Symington, III, now says that he himself was a witness to one of the strange unidentified flying objects, even though he originally did not say so publicly.

"It was enormous and inexplicable", he said in an exclusive interview from his home in Phoenix. "Who knows where it came from? A lot of people saw it, and I saw it too."

On March 13, 1997, during Symington's second term as Governor, thousands saw multiple triangular and V-shaped craft, gliding slowly and silently across the sky for half an hour beginning at approximately 8:15 pm.

Awestruck witnesses, throughout the state, estimated that the eerie, lighted vehicles were bigger than many football fields, up to a mile long.

Arizona Senator John McCain, a friend of Symington's who the former Governor describes as "open-minded", acknowledged at a 2000 press conference that lights were seen over Arizona.

"That has never been fully explained. But I have to tell you that I do not have any evidence whatsoever of aliens or UFOs", he said.

The evidence for a possible UFO, which simply means something in the sky that can't be identified, lies in the fact that countless witnesses reported seeing low, gigantic, technological flying machines that blocked out the stars - not merely lights.

Now the former Governor attests to that. Symington says he saw a large triangular "craft of unknown origin" with lights, moving slowly.

"It was dramatic. And it couldn't have been flares because it was too symmetrical", he says. "It had a geometric outline, a constant shape."

The sightings of the objects that evening are sometimes confused with the row of lights that appeared at about 10 pm, near Phoenix, and have been shown repeatedly on television news.

These later lights were probably flares. People witnessed the objects at around 8:30 because they were outside on that pleasant, cloudless night watching the Hale-Bopp Comet.

Symington was known for ridiculing the incident at a spoof press conference, so his statement marks a dramatic turnaround. He wants to make amends to his constituents and set the record straight.

On the morning of June 19, 1997, when pressure was building from frustrated citizens who wanted answers, the Governor announced on television that he was ordering a full investigation and would make "all the necessary inquiries."

"We're going to get to the bottom of this. We're going to find out if it was a UFO", he said in a serious tone.

Later that same afternoon, Symington suddenly called a press conference and told viewers that he had found the source behind the Phoenix Lights.

His chief-of-staff, Jay Heiler, was escorted in by public safety police officers while handcuffed, wearing a large rubber mask and dressed as a space alien.

The Governor presented the costumed extraterrestrial as the "guilty party."

While laughter filled the room, he joked that "this just goes to show that you guys are entirely too serious."

"It was an insult to the intelligence of the witnesses", Barwood recalls.

"The message to Arizona citizens was that reporting this was stupid."

"If I had to do it all over again I probably would have handled it differently", Symington explains.

He says that the state of Arizona was "on the brink of hysteria" about the UFO sighting when he called the press conference, and the frenzy was building.

"I wanted them to lighten up and calm down, so I introduced a little levity. But I never felt that the overall situation was a matter of ridicule", he says.

The former Governor, a cousin of the late Missouri Senator Stuart Symington, states that the incident remains open and unsolved, and should be officially investigated.

The US Government has never acknowledged that something was in the sky that night.

Phoenix city councilwoman Frances Barwood was the only elected official to launch a public investigation in 1997, but she received no information from any level of government.

Barwood spoke with over seven hundred witnesses, including police, pilots and former military, who provided very similar descriptions.

"The government never interviewed even one witness", she says.

Symington also attempted to find an explanation.

He called the Commander at Luke Air Force Base, the General in charge of the National Guard, and the head of the Department of Public Safety in 1997.

None of these officials had answers, and they were "perplexed", he says.

In 2000, the Department of Defense maintained that it could not find any information about the triangular object, in response to a court-ordered search requested by a U.S. District court in Phoenix, as part of a class action suit filed by witnesses.

"How could they possibly not know about these huge craft flying low over major population centers? That's inconceivable, but it's also frightening", Barwood commented.

Phoenix Lights Symington's announcement is bolstered by the fact that similar flying objects have been documented by the governments of England and Belgium.

On March 30, 1990, the Belgian Air Force sent two F-16s armed with missiles to intercept a black triangular UFO displaying bright lights on its underside. The object could accelerate or dive at tremendous speeds, starting from a stationary position, as recorded on radar. It flew at the speed of sound without making a sonic boom.

The Belgian Ministry of Defense released all its data on the UFO to the press, after eliminating American stealth aircraft and all other possible explanations.

On the night of March 30, 1993, three years later to the day, a vast triangular-shaped craft, also capable of rapidly accelerating in seconds from a virtual hover, was seen by over a hundred witnesses in England, including police officers and military personnel. The British Ministry of Defense stated that "none of the usual explanations put forward to explain UFO sightings seem applicable" and concluded that the evidence showed that "an unidentified object (or objects) of unknown origin was operating over the UK."

According to an April 1993 MOD document, the agency sent a letter to the US Embassy which was "disseminated to all 'interested Agencies' in the US" to find out whether the March UFO could have been attributable to some US prototype such as the Aurora.

"The answer I got back was extraordinary", reports Nick Pope, the MOD official who investigated the 1993 sighting.

"The Americans had been having their own sightings of these large, triangular-shaped UFOs and wanted to know if the RAF might have such a craft."

This statement, four years before the display over Arizona, contradicts the 2000 claim by the US DOD that the department had no information at all about the triangles.

To this day, US officials continue to keep the lid on the Phoenix Lights and other well-documented American sightings of mysterious giant triangles.

"I wish that government entities would stop trying to shut down these investigations by putting out some flakey story", says Symington, a long-time pilot, drawing an analogy to the November sighting of a hovering disc by many aviation witnesses at O'Hare airport, which the FAA explained away as a "weather phenomenon."

More Sightings of UFOs over Berwick, UK
UFO FRESH from reports in last week's 'Berwickshire News' that a suspected UFO was spotted hovering over Berwick, we have received more calls and e-mails to suggest that there might well be something out there.

Last week a local driver told the paper that when travelling through Paxton last Monday, March 17 at around 7.30pm, he spotted five lights in the sky above nearby Berwick.

The driver said that the lights reminded him of lights you'd see on a motorway but what he found strange was that they were big and disappeared into thin air after 30 seconds. Since the story went in last week, a host of callers have responded to the driver's sightings and shared in his confusion over what the lights could have been.

Alan Archer from Spittal said he saw the lights heading north towards Berwick from Holy Island. "The lights were in a v-shape and there were definitely five of them. I looked out onto Spittal Bowling Green and saw orange lights hanging just above from the floodlight. What startled me is that they were so low in the sky and large in size.

"Before and after I spotted them I noticed that there was some activity in the area. "I noticed a jet and helicopter fly over and a lifeboat out at sea in a short space of time." In fact it is one of these appliances that could go some way to explaining the phenomon of the bright lights in the sky.

Tom Wakenshaw, operations manager at Berwick Lifeboat Station, said that rather than being a UFO, the lights were actually flares released as part of a lifeboat training exercise. " I was very surprised when I read that people thought they saw a UFO hovering over Berwick on Monday.

"At the time when people say they saw the bright lights, we were firing five out of date parachute flares into the sky at the same time. It was a simple training exercise." Another keen-eyed reader, Ruth Adcock, admitted that although at first she was surprised by what she saw, she thinks there was probably a more straight forward explanation. "I have to admit to seeing the same lights myself, when I was driving past Paxton, on my way into Berwick on Monday evening.

"Thinking logically, I came to the conclusion that it was either something to do with the RNLI (a flare perhaps), or more likely, the RAF doing one of their usual flypasts, but with five aircraft switching on their afterburners at once. I'm not averse to thinking it was UFOs, but we should rule out other possibilities first."

However, someone else who saw the lights last week was Geordie Carr from Wooler and he is adamant that what he saw was something out of the ordinary.

"My friend and I were in the car coming from Wooler to Berwick for a darts match and were just coming up Wrangholm Road when we saw some rectangular lights. As we were climbing a bank I first thought that they could have been a tractor, combine or street lights, but they were in some kind of sequence and after watching them for a minute they disappeared all of a sudden."

Someone who shares in Mr Carr's view that the lights weren't just flares or fireworks is a resident from Freeman's Court, Berwick, who said that she may have even seen them on two consecutive nights. She also used her digital camera to capture exactly what she was looking at.

Local researcher for the British UFO Research Association, George Niedzwiedz, said that there are daily reports worldwide of odd flying aircraft that remain unexplained. He added that a number of photos, both genuine and fake, are taken and in the case of the 'Berwick lights' we'll just have to wait and see what transpires. George is interested to hear from anyone who saw the lights last week or any other strange activity.

Video Clip of the Phoenix UFO "Intruder"
When KTVK presented the video special, "Phoenix Lights X," the portion of the special dealing with the so-called "Intruder" occupied the last 2:34 seconds of the 20:04 special. The 30+ megabyte file was extremely large for those without broadband, and I have been asked by a number of readers to edit the file to contain only the portion of the file that contains the newly released footage. This I have done, and you will see the 2.8 MB file below.

Also, the footage itself was difficult to see, and parts of it were brightened, which caused the image to pixelate even more, so I have done my best to capture a couple of frames of the object. Although still lacking in quality, you can see that the object is of a definitive triangle, and could not be flares falling in perfect geometrical shape. See figure 3, where I have drawn in the angle that closely fits the object.

Thanks,

B J

Rotorua a 'Hive of UFO activity'
UFO 15.03.2007-By MIKE MATHER

A SURGEON hailed a pioneer in the removal of devices implanted into humans by aliens is headed for Rotorua. Dr Roger Leir won't be performing surgery when he visits in September but will speak at a conference, hosted by Ufocus New Zealand, which will focus on UFO sightings and other extraterrestrial-related phenomena. Although Rotorua was chosen to host the conference for practical reasons, it is coincidentally part of a triangular section of the Bay of Plenty - between Waihi Beach, Whakatane and Rotorua - which is a particular hotspot of UFO activity, according to Ufocus founder Suzanne Hansen.

"There is also a pattern of increased sightings whenever there is seismic activity. It may be that the UFOs are tracking what is happening with the tectonic plates."

Ufocus treasurer and conference facilitator Graeme Opie, who is also the senior air traffic controller at Hamilton Airport, said in the past year there had been about 12 "credible" UFO sightings in the skies over New Zealand.

"A lot of people don't report them because they are scared of being labelled kooks ... or they report them directly to the police or the defence force and we never get to hear about them."

Between 150 and 250 people are expected at the conference in Rotorua with Dr Leir as a keynote speaker. While his resume sounds like part of a script from an episode of The X Files, the organisers of the Future Perspectives conference, at the Rotorua Convention Centre in September, insist the American is the real deal and they want to be taken seriously.

Dr Leir, who holds qualifications as a foot surgeon, is touted as a world pioneer in the surgical removal of devices planted into people, supposedly following alien abductions. According to the biography posted on the Ufocus website, Dr Leir has performed 12 separate operations to remove implanted objects from people, the most recent in September. As with the other 11 cases, the patient was an abductee who had "a lifetime of close encounter experiences".

The website claims the objects he removed, some of which look similar to small metal pins, had been tested in some of the world's most prestigious laboratories and baffled scientists, in part because "some of the tests show [radioactive] isotopic ratios not of this world ... comparisons have been made to meteorite samples". Ms Hansen, who lives in Tauranga, said she was certain Dr Leir was "on the level ... he has spoken at hundreds of conferences and is very credible".

"He began as a non-believer [in extraterrestrials] but he became fascinated with these objects that showed up on x-rays with no point of entry or exit on the body.

"I can only surmise that they might be some kind of tracking device or something that monitors aspects of a person's health."

Ms Hansen said she expected the conference to generate a lot of interest.

"People have a great fear of being ridiculed if they come forward [with stories of UFO sightings]."

The conference will be held on September 29 and 30.

POLAND: Alleged Pulsating UFO Photographed over Sandomierz
03-13-07-Sandomierz [Swietokrzyskie], March 13th 2007-On 13th March at about 9:30 pm, Marcin Popek from Sandomierz (Swietokrzyskie) saw a strange light in the sky. He stressed that the visible object differed from stars with intensive and pulsating, multicolor lights.

He managed to take a photo of the alleged UFO. An object pulsating with multicolor light was positioned on high altitude in the south-western part of the sky, circa 30 degrees over the horizon. In the time of the sightings weather conditions were very good and the sky was clear so the witness was able to compare the object with other visible stars.

After several minutes of observation the witness decided to capture the object with his Olympus 510 UZ camera.

“I wasn’t able to get a tripod to make my photos better” – he complained.

During the sighting the object was continuously changing its colors from blue and green to red making it in very rapid motion. The object was three times bigger than other stars visible at the moment. To compare the image of alleged UFO with that of normal stars, the witness shot some additional photos.

Regarding this case we must consider some pro and contras. One of the easiest possibilities said that the witness saw a bright star or other object while its twinkling was only a optical illusion. Anyway, it doesn’t explain the unusual pulsation and disappearance of the object within 10 minutes (according to the witness there were no clouds therefore it the disappearance was of ‘strange kind’).

Mr. Popek wasn't sure what the object was but that it didn't resemble any known object.

UFO Casebook report

UFOs and the Presidential Candidates
UFO This is information so people can contact the 2008 Presidential hopefuls about UFOs. This is important stuff I thought you might want to help support also...

Please post this on your web site if you would:

http://www.disclosureproject.org/2008presidentialcandidates.htm

"Contact the presidential candidates and ask them what they would do about secrecy and Disclosure! Go to their town meetings and rallies, write or fax letters, email, or call them!

Thanks very much to Eric T. for calling the candidates and for getting us the contact information!

Please email webmaster@disclosureproject.org if you find other helpful links."

We really should start doing this. Even though these people might not know much at all about UFO secrecy, at least it might get them thinking about it and perhaps it will make them want to look into it if they were elected. It's worth a try because if we do nothing, that's a sure bet that nothing will happen.

Thanks!

Eric

Odessa, Delaware, February 9, 1967-Disc-shaped Object with Cupola

At about 8:45 p.m. on February 9, 1967, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Guseman of Middletown, Delaware, were driving south on U.S. 13 toward Odessa. They had just crossed a bridge over a canal when Mr. Guseman saw two lights near the road ahead and to their left. The left light was green and the one on the right red. Suddenly two bright white lights came on between the colored ones. Thinking they were landing lights, Guseman said to his wife, "Look at the crazy plane trying to land!"

As the couple drew nearer, they could see the lights were stationary and attached to a large and unfamiliar object. Only the white lights were visible as they came up opposite to the object, across the highway from them. It sat motionless just over the trees approximately 200 feet from them at an altitude of about 70 or 80 feet.

Mr. Guseman rolled down his left window and he and his wife studied the object more closely. It was disc-shaped with a kind of cupola under the main body. Its width was estimated at about 50 feet and its height at about 20 feet at the thickest point. Except for the top, the object was clearly visible, a dark gray silhouette against the lighter sky.

The surface was smooth and the bright white lights appeared to be searchlights affixed to the front end. The beams of these lights were wider at the ends than at the source and only the source of the closer beam was visible, the other being hidden by the body of the object.

The rather squared cupola, or "gondola," contained a horizontal row of windows which gave forth a faint soft light, steady and uninterrupted by any forms or movement. The light was described as "yellowish" by Mr. Guseman, "pinkish" by his wife. On the bottom of this gondola, in the center, were three red lights which shone with an even intensity.

For about two minutes the couple watched the object as it hovered motionless. Several cars and trucks passed on the high-way, but none slowed down or appeared to take notice. Then suddenly the two forward beams of light began to swing upward until they were pointed at a 45-degree angle from horizontal, shining upwards and out into the night sky.

As soon as they reached this new position, the object began moving in a forward direction toward the north, and to the left of the witnesses. As it moved, the Gusemans heard a soft hum or buzz, similar to the sound of an electric motor. The UFO proceeded in a slow, straight trajectory at an even altitude and as it changed its angle of perspective relative to the viewers' position, it presented the same circular, disc-shape with the undercarriage and windows below. After moving approximately two or three hundred feet to the north over the trees, the UFO seemed literally to disappear.

They assumed it had dropped down into a field beyond the tree-line, but when they drove near the field to check further they saw nothing; nor could they find any evidence on the ground where the UFO had hovered when they searched it with a flashlight.

Guseman, 29 at the time of the sighting, is president of the Delmarva Contracting Company, Middletown; his wife is a business administrator in Wilmington Memorial Hospital. Their sighting was investigated by NICAP staff members Stuart Nixon and Isabel Davis and they were later questioned further at NICAP headquarters by Dr. James E. McDonald. The witnesses were articulate, unemotional and cooperative in both their interviews.

Alabama-Triangle UFO Seen
03-14-07-I was driving to my friend's house, going the same route I always do on Chalkville Road. It was a clear, pleasant night in March. After I crested the hill I was on and took a left, I saw a remarkably lit triangular shaped craft right in front of me. It was on either one of its sides where its distinct triangle shape could not be mistaken. My initial impression was that this had to be some kind of plane, but the more I looked at it, the less it looked like any conventional airplane.

My next thought was that maybe it was one of those stealth bombers because of its triangle shape. But this craft had a large red, circular light in the middle of it. One white light on its nose, three white lights on its rear. I think there was one white light on the other two sides, but I can't remember that detail because I was transfixed by it.

Shortly after getting a good look at it, I started looking all over for a blinking light somewhere, the kind that all planes have. There was no blinking lights, the lights on it all stayed constant. The craft was on its side when I first saw it, then it flattened out as it flew off into the distance, heading west.

My car has a digital compass in the top center console, so I know the direction is correct. Also, I always have my driver's side window cracked to thump out ashes and to be able to hear any possible sirens. I mention this because I didn't hear any engine noise, which should have been significant because it was pretty close at first.

The details that kept coming back to me were its triangle shape, large red light in the middle of it and no blinking lights anywhere. I thought as it flew off and it straightened out that I might see a blinking light somewhere on it since it was at a different angle then. No blinking lights. I've tried to figure the distance it was from my car and estimate its size, but I really can't.

I wished I had taken a picture with my camera phone because it was close enough to make a good picture, but its hard to think straight when you're looking at what I think was a ufo. It was mesmerizing to look at, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The large red light in the middle of it had me perplexed and stunned.

After turning off Chalkville Road, I came to a stop to look at it and had to glance behind me a couple of times just to make sure another car didn't hit me. As it flew off I drove again to try to keep eye contact with it. I did for a short while. Two other cars traveling on the same road passed by going in the other direction. I shortly thereafter saw a plane fly overhead once I got to Parkway East, a half mile away. I mention the plane because it was easily recognizable, as was its blinking light. I'm not sure what it was, but it was amazing looking. I wished I had taken a picture of it with my cell phone. source-www.mufon.com

Arizona-Three Lights like Flares
03-13-07-About a month ago I witnessed three lights heading south bound that looked like flares. Then one of them moved away from the others and disappeared. Then subsequently reappeared. Then all three headed away from me very rapidly and disappeared. I told my wife about it. She reacted very nonchalantly about it. Then, last night I was walking out of my garage and my niece who was visiting my sister in law across the street, ran up to me and said "look uncle we see some UFOs."

I looked out across the sky and saws two lights next to each other. I called my wife to look and I told here that, that's what I had seen last month. We all watched as they both went up and disappeared. Besides my niece, there were three nephews and my sister in law who witnessed this event. We have not discussed it either! As we all stood outside, the lights reappeared one above the other this time. They began to descend. The top one would disappear then reappear below the other then the other one would disappear and reappear below the other. This occurred several times until they both reached the bottom and disappeared. source-www.mufon.com

California-Extremely Long Cigar-shaped UFO
03-14-07-I was sitting on the side porch of my house in the country 4 miles from Buttonwillow, a small town of 2000 people. It was approximately 6 p.m. in the evening. I saw something out of the corner of my eye, looked up and saw what at first I thought was a very large jet. Then I noticed there were no wings and no tail. It was very shiny silver and was approximately 3 football fields in length it seemed anyway. It was very straight, no curves.

It was quite far away but I could see it clearly. It was a long cylinder with 3 things on the top of it that looked like fish gills sticking up. In comparison to the cylinder, they were very small, one in the front, one in the middle and one at the end, but they were on top of it, not to the sides and not underneath. It was traveling slowly from the south to the north and then disappeared.

It was moving in a steady motion, not wiggly like the saucer UFOs many times do. I wasn't surprised to see it because I have seen UFOs quite a few times. I just wish I had gotten my camera and taken a video or snapshot. It was really beautiful. It was so shiny and silvery. I was not afraid. Actually once about 40 years ago I saw a similar object in Shafter, California. But it was red, like blood. It also passed overhead at a slow steady pace. source-www.mufon.com

Georgia-Multi-Lighted UFO
03-15-07-looked out back the object was treetop level, had bright lights white, and blue, silver solid. It came toward me, flew so fast but I could remember it was like a triangle light in the middle, and on each side and rear. the bottom was round like an egg shape.

It was so low I almost could have touched it. it lasted about 1 to 5 minutes. there was a humming noise as it was going over.one of my cats was in the room with me. she was nervous too.when it came over the roof behind me, it was like it made a bee line for me like it knew I was watching it. source-www.mufon.com

Illinois-Triangular Object Flies over
03-10-07-I was in my hot tub only 10 sec. looking up at the clear star lit night when a triangular object flew over my head. It appeared very low, less than 1000 ft. It was very large, dark arrowhead shape with a concave back traveling very fast. I could see the entire shape as it was lit with little white lights around the perimeter of the craft. The lights weren't shining but twinkling. It was thin and curved like an arrowhead.

It seemed very stealthy and emitted no sound. It was about the size of a stealth fighter. The size of it with no noise totally scared me. The only way I saw it was because I was looking in the right place at the right time or you would have never seen it. It was traveling East to West in a straight line. Approx. Dupage airport toward Dekalb. Just north of Rt. 38. I called the local police Dept., but no one had reported anything. I did notice the dogs in the area barking after it went by. My heart was going 100 MPH, it was very scarry, yet I wanted to see it again. I'm posting this hoping someone else saw what I saw. It was only 4 seconds as it flew over the trees and houses, but I know what I saw. source-www.mufon.com

New York-Bright Object Hovered
03-13-07-Bright shining object, approximately the size, maybe slightly smaller, of my thumb nail at arms length. Object/light hovered in one spot for about 2 minutes, then disappeared when camera auto-focus beam went off.

This sighting just happened last night. I was at the computer...my wife was doing the dishes...we both kept hearing an unusually loud, low pitched, rumbling sound, going overhead...We could not tell, from inside if the sounds were jet engines, or the wind. I had gotten up and looked outside on three earlier occasions to see what it was, or if I could see something flying overhead. There was, in fact, a constant howling wind all evening. But, there also was a steady stream of jets, aircraft, or something overhead. I couldn't see them because of the cloud cover, but I could hear them, that is, apart from the wind. And, I could hear the Doppler pitch change in the engine sound as they passed by.

Except for the chemtrail planes (I have 100?s of photos) there are no regular flight paths over my place at this time of day, and very few at any time of day. There also are no major airports nearby. We have two community airports, Potsdam & Massena, each about 12 miles from my location; one due west, one due north. Fort Drum is approx 80 miles southwest of my location. There were no stars or moon visible, there was a low cloud cover, and it was quite windy...I could not tell from inside if the sound I was hearing was the wind or a jet engine...which is why I kept going outside and checking.

Just before I went outside for a fourth time (and this is where it gets a little weird), I said to my wife: "I keep getting a sensation like I am being watched, or stared at;" like when someone is standing behind you and is staring at you, and you can almost "feel" it. The thing is, she was off to my left, in my field of vision, doing the dishes; and we live alone?

I went outside and this time there was a single very bright white light, shining like a star over my neighbors barn, who happens to be a Detective with the NYS Troopers, and who was outside with his family observing and commenting in an excited way about the light/object...it wasn't reflecting like the moon...it was shining, sparkling, or emitting light, and so bright, I could only see light, I could not see an object, just a source of light. I was looking slightly North of West, up at an angle of approx 35° from the earth...the object was slightly smaller than my thumbnail extended at arms length...there were no other lights in the sky...I live in the country, there are no streets lights or other forms of light pollution. The object must have been quite low in the sky, because there was a low, visible cloud covering/ceiling last night.

I asked my wife to get my camera, a Canon Power Shot S2-IS (it gets a little weider here). As I pulled the camera up to my eye, I was thinking I was going to have trouble finding the object in the viewfinder, shooting in total darkness and all. I was surprised to see the object, right there in the view finder, no problem at all finding it...I zoomed in some on the object and was I thinking; ?I'll take this picture, and then I'll take another with the flash up/on and see if the object responds to it.? I had the auto-focus on, and when I squeezed the shutter to focus, of course it shot out that green laser beam.

Then, just as, perhaps slightly before, the shutter went off (I have the camera set to make a sound like an old 35mm) and there was a slight delay in the shot because the camera had set the exposure to 1/8 of a second?. right at that instant, just after I zoomed in, and just before the camera locked on and froze the image, a split second before the shutter went off, I saw in the view-finder the object change from a bright shining white light, to a blue sphere with white light shining through the blue with a blotchy sort look...it kind of looked like one of those pictures of the surface of sun, except it was blue...that's when the shutter went off...and that is what the picture shows. I can?t say if the object actually changed in appearance, or if it was the ?zooming? that caused me to see it differently? My wife did?t see what I saw, the change in the objects appearance from bright a bright white light, to blue sphere?she had just turned to shut the front door, it was chilly out, and when she turned back, she asked; ?where did it go??

I could not see the object in the viewfinder anymore...it seemed to just disappear?.I din?t even think I got anything on the exposure. I pulled the camera away from my eye to see if I could re-find the object without the camera. There was a glowing in the cloud cover where the object had been. I could hear my neighbor and his family saying to each other; ?Did you see that???Everyone sounded quite excited, so were my wife and I. It looked as if the object was now above the clouds and illuminating them from above. source-www.mufon.com
