ROCHESTER -- Reports of a UFO in rural Rochester last week are intriguing enough that an investigation could be launched by the Mutual UFO Network.
Roger Sudgen, MUFON assistant director for the northern part of Indiana, said Monday he'll be calling several residents who saw a disc-shaped object in the sky last Thursday night around 10 p.m.
Bev Carpenter, who lives on County Road 450 North, in rural Rochester, said she and her 13-year-old granddaughter, Shannay Carpenter of Valparaiso, Ind., had just pulled into the driveway of her home that night when the experience began. "I'm a line-dance instructor," Carpenter began, "and I'd just picked up my granddaughter, we'd gone out to supper, and I'd taught the class, so we were pulling into the drive around 10 p.m., the normal time. Shannay said, 'Grandma, what's that?' I'd been getting my stuff out, and I turned around, and said, 'Oh, my God! That's a UFO.'" The unidentified flying object, Carpenter said, was ahead of them on the northwest side of her home. "There were lights sort of aiming downward," Carpenter said, further saying the lights were not focused toward the ground, nor straight out from whatever it was holding them in the air. "You could just barely see the outline of the craft," she said. "There was no color, no sound, and it just hovered right above the tops of the trees." Carpenter said the lights -- three in a row, side by side, and another three in a row, side by side, separated by nothing Carpenter could see -- stayed bright for about 20 seconds before they went out. A few seconds later, they came on again. "Then the craft started slowly, and I mean slowly, moving in a northeast direction," she said. The house was then blocking both their views, and they ran across the north side of the house to see where the object went when it moved northeastward. "It was gone. We couldn't see anything, or the lights were out. We couldn't tell," Carpenter said, adding that the lights never came back on. She said the entire event took place in less than a minute, but when the pair could no longer see what had been up there, "we bee-lined it into the house, locked the doors, and called the sheriff." Sgt. Ed Beaird of the Fulton County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to Carpenter's home, where a written report was completed. A spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department said on Monday that several calls were received by dispatchers Thursday night, but no number was available. Beaird was not available Monday for comment, but the spokeswoman said the Carpenter residence was the only location to which an officer was dispatched concerning the UFO. Carpenter, a 22-year worker with Hart, Schaffner & Marx and union steward before the plant closed, said she's never experienced anything even remotely close to a UFO sighting before, but she knew enough from seeing various television shows that she should contact the National UFO Reporting Center in Seattle. She spoke with Peter Davenport, director of NUFORC, who took down her information, but when she tried to e-mail the information to him, her computer showed the message: "Difficulties -- try at a later time." Carpenter said the lights dimmed four times during that period, as well. She waited until Friday morning to send the information. "Until we have a butterfly net and can actually snag one of these, they'll remain UFOs," Davenport said in a phone interview Monday. Davenport said he'd had "about a dozen calls" about the sighting, but was trying to "unbury myself" from a mountain of data he's analyzing from more than 250 reports from around the world. His office averages 20 reports a day, he said. Carpenter also called Rochester's WROI radio station to report the sighting. Baron Imhoof, news director at the station, said he received up to 10 calls when Carpenter went on air live Friday morning to share her experience. Others, too, had seen the strange lights in the sky. Gene Winters and his wife, who live half-way between Mexico and Denver in Miami County, had no idea what neighbors to the north were experiencing when he saw a large craft hover over the pond behind his house around 10 p.m. Thursday night. He knew it was that time, he said, because a television show had just ended, and it was time to take the dog outside. That task was delayed as the Winters couple saw, first from the patio door on the right side of the living room in their home, "what looked like two rows of lights, like two planes flying together," Winters said his wife described it. Then they saw the object out of the patio door to the left side of the room, indicating it was closer and lower to the horizon, he said. "We were both looking out, and there were six to eight lights in a row on this very, very large object," Winters said. "Living north of Grissom Air Force Base, I thought it was one of those big jets... but there were two things wrong with the picture. It was very low in the sky, and it wasn't moving. And it was hovering over the top of our pond." Winters said the lights did not light any other object in his viewing area, and the object appeared to be about 35 to 50 feet in the air above the pond surface. He said as he walked back to the other patio door to see it from another angle, it disappeared, "just like the lights were turned off." Winters called Carpenter after reading her story in a local newspaper. Carpenter said she's been receiving calls from residents in Winamac and Kewanna about Thursday's baffling sight in the sky. She's preparing a map for investigators, she said. ALIEN abductions are generally considered the stuff of legend, Hollywood, and conspiracy theories.
However new research by brewing giant Grolsch has named the Great Orme as one of Britain's top places for extra- terrestrial kidnappings.
As part of an out-of-this-world advertising campaign, the Dutch company points to a catalogue of reported sightings which make the Llandudno beauty spot the UK's third most likely spot to witness a close encounter of the space kind. They included multiple UFO sightings in 1997 and a family which claimed to have lost five hours after being followed by a triangular shaped craft. Conwy tourism bosses said they were delighted the beauty spot figured so highly. They welcome everybody, they said, even those from beyond planet Earth. "We have visitors from across the globe already and we would be happy to welcome those from further afield also," said Coun Eddie Woodward, cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, which includes tourism. "Llandudno has something for everybody." A Former employee of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration reveals how NASA covers up and erases UFOs from satelite photos. But first a little bit about this former employee: Donna Tietze Hare, formerly of NASA, female slide technician, the recipient of numerous space awards including 1969 Apollo Achievement award from the National Aeronautics & Space Administration, 1973 Skylab award, a medallion for success on the Skylab-Suez Test project, numerous other awards for her skill as a technical Artist, honors, awards and a 1994 recommendation by Texas Governor Ann Richards to the Advisory Committee of Psychology Associates. Donna Tietze has spent most of her professional life involved in the Space Program as a technical illustrator. She drew lunar maps, landing slides, she worked in the photo lab, Precision Slide Lab, reducing art work to one inch by one inch drawings. She drew launch sites, landing sites and was employed as a sub-contractor to NASA for over 15 years. She worked on flight manuals for astronauts & has the wonderful ability to put words into images but uniquely, learn to do everything backwards, including mathematical computations, the writing of words, to put it simply, this woman has seen just about all the different kinds of images one could see that are used in Space Programs. The following is a partial transcript of a radio talk show that occurred 5/6/95 on WOL-AM in Washington D.C. which is simulcast on WOLB-AM in Baltimore Maryland. The show is broadcast every Saturday night at 12:00am. The show is called "UFOs Saturday Night". The transcript was transcribed by Donald Ratsch, "Operation Right To Know" (ORTK) from an audio recording of the show. Elaine Douglass (ORTK) host of the show: Elaine Douglass: This is Elaine Douglass, WOL News-Talk Network, our show is UFOs Saturday night and here in the studio with Keith Morgan and our topic is the Face On Mars. We have a new guest on the air with us, Donna Tietze. Donna, you are also with three scientists who are on the air with us and that would be Stan McDaniels from California, Erol Toron from the east coast and Dan Drason whose in Colorado. The reason that I asked Donna to come on the show, Donna is in Houston, Texas and kind enough to join us tonight to tell us some very interesting things she observed while working at NASA. Donna is an educator and she is working on her Masters in Education. In the past Donna, as I understand it you held a position for 15 years with a contractor at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. You were a photo technician? Donna Tietze: Correct! E.D.: Donna welcome to UFOs Saturday Night. Tell me and tell everyone the incident that you recall as they say in the law court, did there come a time when you walked in a photo lab and someone told you something quite astounding? What happened that day? D.T.: Yes Elaine, that's true. During the Apollo mission I worked at NASA throughout those Apollo missions and I did leave NASA at the time the space shuttles began. I worked in building eight in the photo lab. I had a secret clearance so I thought I could go anywhere in the building. And I did go into one area that was a restricted area. In this area they developed pictures taken from satellites and also all of the missions, the Apollo missions, flight missions. I went in and I was talking to one of the photographers and developers and he was putting together a mosaic which is a lot of photos, smaller photos into a larger photo pattern. And while I was in there I was trying to learn new methods and new things about the whole organization and I was looking at the pictures and he directed my attention to one area, he said, Look at that. I looked and there was a round oval shaped, well it was very white circular shape of a dot and I, it was black & white photography, so I asked him if that was a spot on the emulsion and he said, well I can't tell you but spots on the emulsion do not leave round circles of shadows. E.D.: So there was a shadow on the ground? D.T.: Right, a round shadow! And I noticed that there were pine trees, now I don't know where this area was or what, you, pretty close to the ground what I saw but I didn't see outline of the continent. But I did notice that there was shadow under this white dot and I also noticed that the trees were casting the shadows in the same direction as this shadow of the circle of this aerial phenomena because it was higher than the trees but not too much higher than the trees but it was close to the ground and it was spherical but slightly elongated, not very much but slightly. I then said, is it a UFO? And he said, Well I can't tell you. And then I asked him, what are you going to do with this piece of information? And he said, well we have to airbrush these things out before we sell these photographs to the public. So I realized at that point that there is a procedure setup to take care of this type of information from the public. E.D.: Now Donna there is another matter that you learned about when you were there at NASA. I believe this was through a third party, a person that you were spending some time with who was a fellow NASA employee? D.T.: Right, in fact after we talked, I thought about another incident with a guard that I would like to convey too that's very important. This man that I had dated was in quarantine with the astronauts when they had come back from the moon and I had talked to him about seeing this saucer (satellite photos) and asked him if he had heard anything about that and he told me that every astronaut, every moon trip had been followed by craft, by saucers, that every one of them, every astronaut that went to the moon, now I don't know about other sites but they all had seen it and all had been told to keep quite about it and they were threatened with jail and their whole retirement, everything taken away from them. They were also, this told me that if I ever told that he said it, that he would deny it, that he would never admit that he told me all of that. E.D.: Yes and I believe that Donna you related to me, you friend came to believe that the UFOs were instrumental in getting Apollo 13 that was, ah, our disable mission to the moon, was it 13? D.T.: Right, well he said that it shouldn't have come back, I mean, there was no, ah, they had help. And that's was all he would say. E.D.: All he would say? D.T.: He said it was impossible for that craft to have gotten back home. E.D.: Donna you said that there was another matter that you wanted to relate to us. D.T.: Yes, something that I didn't talk to you about earlier. When I had quite work, I had an office, I was doing illustration work a another office, in another part of town. And a man that had been a guard at NASA during the time came into my office and he had a large gash scar on his forehead and he told me that he was a guard at NASA and that he was burning a lot of photographs of UFOs. That was his job. E.D.: Really? (surprised) D.T.: And he said he stopped to look at one too long and one of the other, I gathered it was some type of military man, hit him in the head with a gun butt and knocked him out. E.D.: What?(shocked) D.T.: Because he had looked at one of the photographs too long, he did describe the photograph to me which I tend to believe was an accurate photograph. E.D: Oh, my god! D.T.: He explained that it was a craft on the ground and it looked like, it was like a regular saucer with like little bumps all over and he said it was like it was burnt. He said cows in the field all had their tails stuck straight up. At the time he said he didn't know when cattle were frightened, that their tails would stick straight up. And he described this to me and since then, I did describe it to someone that I thought might have looked at some of these photos, possibly and they did look kind of frightened that I shouldn't know about that one. E.D.: The second part of her account had to do with the stalking of our space mission by UFOs of our space missions to the moon and so on. She even said that they apparently helped in one case by bringing the Apollo 13 back, that was the impression that she got and.. D.T.: yes but they (aliens) also didn't want that craft to investigate the part of the moon that they was going to, so they may have caused some of it too, but it was supposed, we were told not to go but we ignored it. Now that's what I've heard, that some of the stuff he was telling me. E.D. Did he say that, your direct contact? D.T.: Yes! E.D.: That the United States was told not to go to the moon? D.T.: To that certain place on the back side of the moon. E.D.: And did he know why we weren't supposed to go there? D.T.: I guess they didn't want us to see something back there, I don't know, I don't know that part. I just wanted to share my story and perhaps you can make your own theory of it. My grandmother when she was about 18 was lying asleep one night and then she awoke from hearing a low pitch humming sound. She then saw a dim blue light in her room. A tall gray approached her. He or it walked to her slowly. She did not feel paralyzed but calm and peaceful. The gray just stared at her for a long time. He then placed his hand on her head and she fell back to sleep. She awoke the next day and he was gone. She claimed to feel sore at her navel. Then my mother when she was about sixteen claims that she awoke one night to a green glow and an open window and standing near her wall were three tall grays with red glowing eyes. She did not become paralyzed but she claims she heard a buzzing noise in her head. She claims that the aliens began to threaten her to obey them and to be a servant of some kind and she would inherit some kind of magic powers. She then rebuked them using the name of Jesus and then their eyes stopped glowing and they crawled out her window in a hurry. Then when I was about four years old one day I saw a very small grey alien following me around the house during broad day light while my grandmother was home. I remember some brief conversation being made but do not remember what was said. He always spoke telepathically though and I remember the conversations were long and he did most of the speaking. I never mentioned it, however. Not much longer after he stopped visiting me. I awoke one night to see an angel standing at the end of my bed. My room was completely dark but the angel illuminated white. He was wearing a uniform like a knight in brass and gold. He especially had a gold breast plate and gold bands on his wrist and gold belt. He had an illuminating blue sword. He had short blonde hair and bronze face with just solid white flashing eyes. Nothing was said and his appearance lasted about what seemed a minute and then just vanished. I left my room immediately and told my mother and grandmother but I was brushed off by my mom and I was told to go back to bed. She still remembers the incident. I began to go to church regularly and was saved at six. I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at 13 with speaking in tongues. I continued and still am a Christian. I continued to have many visions and such but nothing involving aliens. Then when I was 22 I had an encounter one night at home. I was in my room and just crawled into bed but was no where near asleep. I had been preaching and heavily involved in ministry for quite some time. I had been involved in a few casting out demons too recently. Suddenly my door flung open in the living room. A large muscular man with a shaved head and glowing red eyes came into my room. I started to rebuke him when this pulsating loud frequency like noise began to go off in my head and I had full function of my body but complete inability to speak even in my head. The man jumped into my bed and we wrestled for a few seconds when the same angel I saw when I was four flew into my window. My window flew open and the angel was glowing bright and He attacked the man and the man screamed like a dinosaur or dragon type of low pitch noise. The pulsating noise continued in my head and I began to see red circles like coming towards me from the man. The angel was just beating him up pounding him hard in the face in the corner of my room. Then he stopped and the man ran out of my house. The angel went back out my window and the window shut. I sat on my bed for a few seconds longer as the noise still continued for a minute then finally stopped and I could speak out loud again. I went into my living room and my door was still open. A few years later things really seem to calm down. I was just living on my own working a full time job and living a regular plain life. The visions slowed way down and the dreams seem to be more rare. Then suddenly at mid 26 a flood of events began to happen. It all began one night. I was asleep. I awoke to hear my back door open. I heard a few slow steps across my kitchen floor. I started to try to get up, but the typical sleep paralysis syndrome seemed to be happening. All I was able to do was open my eyes and look. I then saw just dim blue city lights coming in my window. I then saw four very tall grey aliens surround me. I heard a silent high pitch pulsating sound in my head. One of them began to examine me from head to toe physically with his hands which felt kind of rubber like and like a basketball with the bumps all over. I began to try to speak to him first telepathically myself and he quickly turned his head from looking at my lower body and focused on me making eye contact and conversation began. I remember it consisted first of me telling him what my name was and he said, "I know..." and then I asked "can I go with you, I want to go and I am willing to learn?" and so on... because I just became so excited and all I could think of was adventure in space and alien friends and so on. He said I couldn't at least not now... I continued to bed and he patted me on my hand. Then I noticed they removed my blankets and undressed me and a few of them paid attention some to my genitals and were doing something. I then noticed I began to levitate off my bed and one of them pulled out a thin stick that lit up and illuminated the room real bright. I then received a needle stick to my right wrist. I first felt like blood was drawn. Then I felt an electrical shock sensation shoot up my arm and neck. Then I felt the devise go a little deeper into my arm and then it felt like something was inserted. I then heard three tones in my right ear play out. The devise was removed from my arm. At this point I had been struggling real hard to be able to move or speak. I felt my facial muscles begin to twitch and I gained complete control of my right arm. I grabbed the grays hand and got a tight grip on his hand. I began to plead again to let me join them. I received no answer but a sort of flattered look and surprised response from the rest of the crew. They seemed to become a little more interested in me. The tall gray patted my right hand again and I began to sink back onto the bed. They began to walk out of my room. I could hear them walk through my kitchen and exit out my back door. I did not notice anything that may resemble a space vessel. I remained in an awake semi-paralyzed state for some time and what seem like fifteen minutes because I got a look at the clock several time that night and it was around 3:00 AM the last time I looked. Suddenly it was about 6:00 AM when I could move fully. I got out of bed and my legs were sore. I walked to find my back door unlocked and cracked open. I had much pain and numbness in my right wrist but there was no vein puncture mark but a very small speck like being stuck with a very fine diabetic glucose stick. I did have some rectal bleeding, and painful urination for a while. What started happening immediately after that was dreams of the tall gray I talked to telling me all kinds of stuff. I kept seeing their text in red letters. I kept seeing like I was watching a video in my dreams of some space station school with humans and grays learning something. I kept hearing at times the tones and the high pitch frequency hearing the tall grey give me messages. Every time I had the dreams at night I would wake up suddenly and look at my clock and it would always be some time like 3;33, 4;44, 2;22 or 1;11 or something of that sort. I saw symbols and so on and so on. I shouldn't have, but I did begin trying to speak to people in public telepathically and every time I did I would get a reaction from them saying, "Hey, did you say something to me. I thought I heard you say something. I know you said something...what?" So I quit playing around with it. I did finally have one dream one night that really bothers me. I had a dream that I was seeing in like a video screen aboard an institute like place I kept dreaming of. I saw the tall gray and I saw wrap around eyes that were blue and human like, and she was a blonde female human like being nine to ten foot tall, and 5 to 7 months or more pregnant beautiful woman. The gray said "she keeps insisting I contact you and tell you, so here it is... She is carrying your baby that we cloned for a hybrid from you. Someday you may be able to meet him." Then she stared at me for a long time. I awoke and was in that sort of sleep paralysis state again. It was day like and I began to look at objects around my room and I was able to make stuff float in the air across my room. When I stopped, the objects fell and I saw a small brown alien with an upside down triangular head look at me and he was holding some kind of small round metallic devise. He had small dime size eyes at the points of his head. He wobbled off. I completely awoke and then I felt like I was letting myself get seduced by all of this, so I quit acting on the powers I had suddenly obtained. For a short while I still had dreams and messages saying things like... "there was a war between two types of aliens... both of them were typical grays but one race was dark and very religious and into witchcraft and sorcery, and the other gray race claimed that they had not fallen like man did in the garden of Eden and they still had communion with God and were accompanied by angels frequently and that they were very highly intelligent beyond what we could imagine, and that they were a very intellectual race but lack emotions to some extent and they followed strict guidelines and codes and were passionate about exploring and science but didn't interfere and deal with powers of evil or tamper with cloning or hybrid races, and such, but were at war with the other race that was a dying race and was involved heavily with sorcery and genetic cloning of hybrids and abductions." That seemed to be the last message I received to some extent. It seemed other messages and such seem to keep trying to happen, but I began to rebuke the feedback and began to simply try to ignore all of it. It has almost completely stopped. It does however lead me to wonder if I was really experiencing anything at all or was it all some kind of temporary psychosis due to post traumatic syndromes of other events in my life like the fact I work as a paramedic or from stuff I saw and dealt with as a Marine or from being abused as a child... or is it events of demons trying to mess with my head and get me distracted from my missionary work and such? Who knows? I never have gotten x-rays but I still feel strange sensations in my wrist and the tones in my ear still go off. It could be just some medical problems that need to be dealt with. One of the weirdest cases reported to the Welsh Federation of Independent Ufologists is the multiple sighting of UFOs on the same night - except one family got too close for comfort and were apparently abducted. The strange and disturbing events began to unfold when for several nights an elderly man living in Little Orme, Conwy, was troubled by what he called "frightening" beams of light over the Great Orme. Unfortunately for one family travelling by car to the area at the same time on November 10 1997, that was the night they had an unexplained encounter. They could not account for several 'lost' hours when they suddenly became aware of resuming their journey, according to investigator Margaret Fry. |
Margaret says the couple and their children where driving on the Bodfair/Landernog road when they found their car engulfed by a purple triangular craft. The next thing they remember is that the purple craft had gone.
"But they could not account for considerable hours of time lost," said Margaret.
"The male was having trouble afterwards with a top molar tooth and he had to go to the denist's," she said.
"A black unknown object fell out while he was at the dentist's - but he had no fillings," she said.
Margaret says that the man reported the family's encounter to the authorities and he was said to have been visited twice by air force personnel and requested not to speak publicly about the matter.
Despite the sketchy details, Margaret is interested in the witness account because of the sightings in the same area and on the same night by the elderly man - and that of a local businessman who also had a close encounter with a craft described as an alien cruise ship.
The third sighting was by the businessman who says he saw a huge craft the shape of a "child's spinning top" while he was driving along the same road as the family who claim to have been abducted.
Margaret says the man, who sketched an outline of what he saw (classic saucer shape), told her he stopped his vehicle to look at the craft which he described as being as big a football pitch and hovering above buildings in the village of Llandernog.
The man says the craft had a "myriad of lit windows", almost making him believe it was a cruiser-craft capable of carrying hundreds of people - or beings...

Aliens Did It: Circle Investigator Mysterious Circles that appeared on Scott Ave. lawn last month are the real deal, says Larry Sommerfield. They're crop circles created by alien visitors who are secretly monitoring our planet. "Actually, I would call it lawn circles, not crop circles," notes Sommerfield, who has been monitoring the site since he saw a photo in the Terrace Standard ("What in the world?" Page B1 March 17). There's been very little change in their appearance, he said. He's counted 16 circles of varying sizes. Some are a few inches in diameter, others are a few feet wide. Inside, the grass is still dead, while neighboring blades on the lawn are growing taller and greener with each passing day. "It could only be imitated by leaving a heavy weight there for several days, and would be seen." says Sommerfield, a retired tow truck driver and auto body repair man who lives in Thornhill. Just weeds are making a come back now that the snow has melted. He notes the circles are located on the side of a ditch, leading down a small embankment. "A prankster would have put them in the center of the lawn where they can be seen," he concludes. So, why would alien visitors leave such baffling clues on someone's lawn? "It's simply the aliens way of letting us know they're around. They want us to know they're there." Sommerfield is something of a self-styled expert in the paranormal. he became interested in alien activity after he realized visitors from outer space have been monitoring Earth for tens of thousands of years, a habit that increased once humans began testing and detonating atomic bombs, ending the Second World war but ushering in the Cold war. "Until the atomic bombs went off, they just had a mild interest," he says. "It's only when we entered the Space Age they realized we were doing something to be concerned about." He claims to have been the target of ongoing alien pranks. invisible visitors from outer space occasionally steal objects from his home, only to replace them several days later - but not always in the original location. "Normally, the stuff comes back in about four day's time," he says, recalling a particular curious incident involving the unexplained disappearance of a Frank Sinatra 8-Track tape that contained the blue-eyed crooner's signature ditty, "My way". Last year, Sommerfield and a colleague also found something they believe is Sasquatch scat - droppings they hope to have analyzed by a scientist. The 4400 Series Picked Up by USA Network Source: Variety Sunday, April 11, 2004 Variety reports that USA Network has picked up the sci-fi drama pilot The 4400 to series. The project was ordered as a pilot plus five scripts from executive producers Rene Echevarria (Dark Angel) and Maira Suro (Platinum) last year. Picking up where most alien-abduction tales end, the hour-long series centers on the return of 4,400 missing people to Earth. The series kicks off with an apocalyptic ball of light sailing toward earth. In place of the expected catastrophic event, however, thousands of returned abductees are left with no memory of their otherworldly experiences. Each has been gone anywhere from a few months to several decades, but hasn't aged a day. The 4400 is set for a summer premiere on USA, which will also roll out a new season of the scripted original The Dead Zone in June. "4400" is planned as a limited series, with the possibility of more episodes should the first round perform well. Suffolk forest yields UFO surprises If you go down to Rendlesham Forest today, you could get more than a big surprise – according to a new list compiled by the country's leading UFO expert. Nick Pope, who ran the Ministry of Defence UFO desk for three years, has drawn up a list of the top 40 places in Britain where you might come face to face with an extra-terrestrial. And Rendlesham Forest, near Woodbridge, is in seventh position, while Clacton-on-Sea, in Essex, is ranked 20th. The list, topped by Bonnybridge in Lanarkshire, is the result of months of research into reported UFO sightings and alien abductions across the country. Rendlesham Forest has long been associated with mysterious sights and sounds, and UFO investigators believe its link with other worlds goes back hundreds of years. But it shot to fame across the globe in 1980, when American service personnel and local civilians reported several sightings of UFOs at RAF Bentwaters. The case, which inspired countless studies and documentaries, is also rumoured to have involved an actual crash landing – but no hard evidence has ever been uncovered. Brenda Butler, a UFO expert who lives in Leiston, wrote one of the first books on the unexplained events of that night, called Sky Crash. Commenting on the list yesterday, she said: "I would have thought that Rendlesham Forest should have been higher up – at least number two, if not number one. "It is one of the country's very hotspots for alien activity – it has been since the 1600's and it still is today. I don't know of any actual abductions that have happened at Rendlesham Forest but there's been lots of missing time cases. Even now, we still got loads of what are called orbs and streakers down there. I definitely think that there's a doorway to other worlds there, along with a very high-energy field. I don't think that the list will attract more people to the Forest – we already get a lot that come down because of its reputation and what's been printed before." Bonnybridge, Scotland, UFO Hotspot It could be the whisky or possibly the haggis - but, whatever the reason, aliens seem a bit partial to Scotland. Anyone wishing to be abducted by the little green men would be well advised to take the High Road - to Bonnybridge, to be precise. The Stirlingshire town has the highest number of reported UFO sightings in Britain, with more than 100 every month, research shows. Residents there have also claimed the greatest variety of spaceships, describing everything from flying saucers to hovering cigars. Witnesses include not only the usual UFO watchersand cranks, but everyone from firemen to a police helicopter pilot. In fact, locals want their town to be twinned with Roswell, in New Mexico, where it was claimed a spaceship came down in 1947 and was taken to a secret military base. The findings are revealed in a study by Grolsch, which has compiled a list of Top 40 UFO hotspots in a booklet How To Be Abducted By Aliens. 'You can be abducted by aliens anywhere and at any time,' said UFO expert Christopher Martin, who claims to have been kidnapped by a ship. 'But the classic abduction happens at night when you're lying in bed and you're awakened by a bright light. 'You are lifted or floated out of your room, often through the walls, and brought on to a spaceship.' Up to 40,000 Britons and 4million Americans claim to have ben kidnapped by aliens. But Nick Pope, who ran the UFO desk at the MoD for three years, said the number of sightings could be far higher. 'We must take into account widespread under-reporting due to the fear of ridicule,' he added.

Strange, beautiful, confusing. I wonder what I saw??
Well I can’t believe it’s me writing this.
Last night (April 7, 2004 from approximately 9:30 to 11:00 pm EST) I saw what I guess was a UFO. But it was not what I always thought of as a UFO.
In the northwest sky there was an extremely bright, extremely white light so much so that it looked as you might expect a diamond would sparkle under a bright light. At times it also seemed to shift, for a second or so, to a slight reddish color and then back to white. In size it was at least ten times that of the biggest star in the sky. Now from here on in I’m not sure if what I saw was real or imagined. There seamed to be small dot shaped, orangish – reddish in color, “balls, disks” in the surrounding area of the light. They numbered perhaps eight or ten. I referred to them as dots because they were perfectly round as a dot and with no extending light beyond the actual shape. Then I saw what appeared to be two of the dots move away at a fairly fast speed. The one followed the other in exact formation space and distance from the other. As they moved away a white light was added to the orangish/red color. They continued moving away and finally disappeared. At one point approximately 30 minutes after I first saw the light it dropped lower in the sky, just a little, the reason I noticed this was because it was now just slightly below the tree line. At 9:45 Pm tonight (April 7th) I was admiring the beautiful clear starry night after putting my daughter to bed; I was looking Westward. Three lights rapidly approached from the West in a triangle formation, at '12 o'clock low'. I watched them closely to make sure that I wasn't looking at birds or something else. I am inferring that the object between the lights was solid and triangular, because when the object banked North, the angular relationship between the lights was consistent with the banking of an aircraft - however this was no ordinary aircraft. It moved completely silently and covered half the horizon, that is from Surrey to the North Shore Mountains in about four seconds. I am guessing the altitude (based on watching approaching aircraft in the same airspace at 2000 - 3000 f, and the brightness of the lights of the object relative to the brightness of passing aircraft lights) at within 7000 feet. My gut feeling while watching this thing was that it could not be man-made; I was also admiring the technology that could create something with this kind of performance envelope. Amazing! I continued to watch the sky for about a half an hour afterwards; I noted that the flight path of the object was directly over the approach path to YVR, and that at 21:55 an aircraft approached through the same airspace. I tried to sketch this out on paper, but the sketch doesn't do justice to the way this thing banked and moved. The object was as high as a star and it was moving kinda fast leaving no trail of dust or light. Soon after, it stopped and vanished. At about 8:30 pm me and my cousin was sitting on the porch talking. That's when I looked up at the sky and noticed what seemed to be a star moving.I have seen a shooting star before and I know that what I saw was not. I live in Miami and airplanes can be seen alot at night but this object was way too high to be an airplane. Like i said it appeared to be a moving star. I then stopped my cousin in the middle of the conversation and said "a look in the sky and tell me what you see". At first he said i cant see anything then I pointed him in the direction and his response was "what the @#$%". We watched it move in the same direction and then it just stopped and vanished. We talked about it for a while after the sighting and we could not come to a conclusion to what we witnessed. thanks to NUFORC

Three UFOs, described as "three white, dim, circular, fast-moving crafts," were seen Wednesday night, March 24, 2004, over Porterville, California (population 39,615), about 120 miles (200 kilometers) northeast of Vandenberg Air Force Base. "They moved like nothing I had ever seen before," the witness reported, "They were three low-flying white objects, dim in brightness, flying eastwards very fast. No sound. Two of them continued east and one broke out of formation and banked south in a fast, impossible 90-degree turn. I've never seen anything like it. I'm very excited about it." Earlier the same evening, at 6:04 p.m., in Moorpark, California (population 31,415), 90 miles (144 kilometers) east of Vandenberg, witnesses reported, "We were looking out our window. All of a sudden, five bright dots, not blinking, came blasting through the sky in a linear formation. Also, the objects left a trail of yellow that faded away in seconds and also, for some reason, made my lamps blink a few times as they passed over." A week later, on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, an unusual event was reported at Vandenberg Air Force Base. "The U.S. Air Force delayed the launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile due to a malfunction, base officials said." "The missile was scheduled to be launched from the base between 12:01 a.m. and 6:01 a.m. on Wednesday but was delayed indefinitely at 2:55 a.m. when officials discovered the problem." "The missile was to take about 30 minutes to reach the Kwajalein Missile Range in the Marshall Islands, about 4,200 miles (6,720 kilometers) away. The Air Force routinely test-launches the nearly 60-foot (18-meter) missile to assess the performance and reliability, as part of the Force Deployment Evaluation Program." On Sunday, March 28, 2004, ufologist Ruben Mansilla reported, "There was an event here in Mar de Ajo" in Argentina. "A local resident named Roberto Garcia took some photos with his digital camera and left them at the camera store." When the images were printed out, they showed a daylight disc in the partly cloudy Argentinean skies. On Monday, March 8, 2004, "a large intensely luminous green object, with blue 'windows or portholes' along the side, was seen flying over San Antonio de los Andes" in Venezuela's state of Miranda. "People living in the barrio Urbanizacion Los Castores" in San Antonio de los Andes, located about 600 kilometers (360 miles) southwest of Caracas, the national capital, "saw a strange green light streaming through their windows. Curious about the phenomenon, they ran outdoors. Once they got outside, they saw the green UFO crossing the night sky overhead. Date: April 11 2004-Time: 7:50 p.m. I have been watching planes and the contrails they leave in the sky for about two months since I have read about them in some reports. The one that catches my interest I can describe as one circular telescoping puffy cloud leaving two wide apart thin streams twisting like dental floss before they disappear. I made a report about the cloud fist that opened podlike and an elliptical disc circle the area. The cloud was tube like and elongated to the opening pod. Before the pod opened there was an intense whiter color. I saw last night about 15 degrees above the western horizon a puff of smoke with the two wide apart contrails following, descend at about 40 degree angle. In the binos I saw the contrails turn black, and the puffy tube cloud turning burgundy red with the head of the cloud a little intenser color. As it descended by a thin cloud I could see no plane in front of the "smoke "or contrails. The whole burgundy red cloud stopped, elongated "wormlike" with the head flattening out disc shape. It began to descend a little more,straightened horizontally, and the whole thing disappeared. Thank you to the witness for the report. Date: April 12, 2004-Time: 9:30 p.m. Full Description of event/sighting: I walked home with my grandmother when she pointed to the sky, she said that she also saw the craft several nights ago, it moved VERY VERY slowly. It had a triangle shape and at each of the three points of the triangle there was a yellow light In the middle of the craft was a blue and red light that went on and off and circled each other. My grandmother and I stood there for about 4 minutes watching the craft, then I went home. I told my father about it and he went outside with me about 6 minutes after my grandmother and I first spotted it, but we could only make out a faint light. Thank you to the witness for the report. Date: April 10, 2004-Time: 11:00 p.m. Full Description of event/sighting: I was typing on my computer, when I looked out the window I saw a bright red light in the sky approx. 10 cm in diameter, flying on a low horizon at a distance of maybe a couple of blocks away from my place. It was really bright. At first I thought I was seeing things, then I called my father. As soon as my father came to see, the object made a sharp right turn and then the light dimmed out. Then maybe 5 minutes later I saw it again, a really bright red circle. This time it seemed it like it was climbing. This time my father did see it....and saw how quick it was gaining in altitude without actually covering any horizontal distance. As it went up in the sky the lights once again turned off....bizarre, If it was a plane flying at night wouldn't it have headlights on....I'm used to planes flying over me, being close to the airport. But this was not the same......both my dad and I decided to check it out further and we went outside to look at it and we could see all the lights were off, but you could still see that greyish oblong shaped object in the sky....it seemed like it was going around in circles around our neighborhood. Adana -- Milliyet Newspaper reports that Caner Yildiz, the Governor Deputy of Adana, had seen a luminous object in the sky on April 1, 2004, at 9:04 PM. He states, “First I thought it was a bright star that I had never seen before, so I started to record it on my camera for about 20 minutes.” “It was moving very fast, sometimes zigzagging; becoming bigger and smaller,” he said. "The bottom part was dark, and the upper part was white with sharp projecting points which resembled honeycombs. It would disappear when observed with the naked eye then would appear again. On the camera, it would look as small as a pin top then in 2-3 seconds it would grow as big as an orange. It looked like a flying saucer". Chairman Haktan Akdogan and the Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center has concluded this was a UFO”. The footage will be studied at Cukurova University. "Obviously," Hopkins said, "when you speculate as to alien motives and
what they need and so forth, you’re always on shaky ground. But, as I say,
in knowing what we know about the reproductive patterns here, what may be
genetic engineering of some sort, and certainly the production of hybrids,
the thing always to be remembered is that human beings are not fruit
flies. And it takes generations for changes to take place. Perhaps this is
a way of speeding up the process.
