UFOs Seen in the Archipelago

Tuesday, April 15, 2008-Is Mount Teide (3918m) a magnet for UFOs? Does it have an aura around it which can be seen from another hemisphere?
These are a couple of the questions that were made in an article of Tenerife News.(11.04.2008)
New recent seeings of UFOs have got people in the Canary Islands talking again.
About a week ago, several alleged sightings of an UFO in Gran Canaria made the headlines, with a number of people calling the police and the media after spotting a large bright object floating in the sky. Even last autumn a couple in La Laguna on Tenerife watched a wedge-shaped object hovered near their home. And between August 2004 and December 2005, three separate sightings also hit the headlines and each concerned a photograph.
It's said that unexplained lights have soared above the volcano throughout history and there are constant of commercial liners being intercepted by brilliant lights which the bemused pilots have been unable to explain.
1975 an commercial jet on its way from Austria to Tenerife had to make an emergency landing in Valencia after been trailed by pulsating red objects which zigzagged across the skies.
1992 witnesses claimed a mysterious aircraft fell from the skies at Teide but it was all hushed up by the Spanish military. Apparently, a group of friends had been walking near mount Teide when they were told by soldiers to go home when there had been a landslide. They had sneaked back and alleged they saw a powerful beam of light on the side of the volcano and later spotted a convoy of military trucks transporting a huge object. Whatever happened the force was enough to snap off a 450 ton lava projection from the side of Mount Teide. Could it be the rock the trucks were transporting or was it really a flying saucer?
Last year a doctor visiting a patient in Tenerife and his taxi driver had seen a flying saucer descend in front of them with two huge figures dressed in red at the control panel. [Editor's Note: This actually occurred in 1976, see Canary Island Alien Sphere.]
This incident coincided with a more believable prolonged and logged report from an armed Spanish navy escort ship whose crew observed yellow-blue lights in the sky - lights which were also seen by hundreds of recidents of Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera.
I don't really know what to believe. It sounds like a first of April joke but the paper has published the 11th of April.

UFO Experience over Penticton BC, Canada

My story is somewhat unique in being not just an unexplained sighting; but a paranormal experience. It was the summer of 1995 in Penticton BC, Canada; a quiet tourist town just north of the Washington border. I had just finished my dishwashing shift around 11 PM, and was heading out for a fun night with three friends.
In order to understand the uniqueness of my story, you should get to know Kris. Kris is the charismatic older brother of my good friend Ricky. Earlier that year Kris, following a nervous breakdown, slipped into a coma and was hospitalized for several months.
Kris awoke to a new reality; he wasn’t the same person. He’d tell stories about being lost in his dreams, and his ability to see ghosts, aliens, UFOs, and all other nonsense. We took our time talking with him, comforting and reassuring his normalcy; it was sad to see how for he had slipped towards madness.
One lazy summer evening I watched him through our window as he leapt madly around the yard, thrusting his finger to the sky and yelping this and that about UFOs and other gibberish. We would look, see nothing, and laugh it off --Crazy Kris.
Then we saw them. This is the weird part of my story. Believe what you will, I don’t really care--this happened.
The sky was starry, the night warm and silent. I was chatting with Kris as he went on about his usual random spiritual nonsense that was so out of character for him, when he froze, stopped walking and stared at me blankly. “What?” I asked.
“I feel like somebody’s watching me.” He replied. Without looking, he swung his finger to the sky and said, “There!”
I looked up and saw three distinct lights, traveling together in formation. They looked like really bright white stars. But then they stopped, and began to spin in arcing circles, change direction, shoot and dart quickly, hover and basically float around silently. From my experience as an amateur pilot in the air cadets, I would say they were at least 20 or more thousand feet up, but it’s hard to say. They were not conventional aircraft.
Kris started freaking out yelling, “Kris is crazy! Kris sees aliens! That ain’t no f____ing satellite!”
No they weren’t satellites.
Our jaws were on the floor. There were four of us witnessing this event, one of which is my best friend to this day and corroborates my story. I called him a few months ago, just to make sure I wasn’t making this memory up.
The story gets better. When we arrived home, I ran into the living room where a large group of friends was having a party. There was a lot of noise about the UFO sighting. Apparently that night, a group of about thirty were at a bush party and had seen more than a dozen of these dancing lights.
After awhile, I ceased to think on the event. That was ten years ago. It’s only recently with the waves of sightings around the world, that I decided to write down the story that I’ve told friends and lovers so many times.
For me the amazing part of my story is not seeing the UFOs myself, but the manner in which I was shown the phenomenon. Sure Kris could have spotted the UFO and then pretended to have a psychic connection, but I remember distinctly how he said, “There!” and swung his hand towards the sky, without averting his eyes from mine. I’ll never forget that.
Could they have been military? Maybe… but I doubt it. Is Kris a psychic? Who knows, anything is possible.
Well, suppose they are psychic. Maybe the insane are really just in-tune with something we aren’t. Our society’s unwillingness to seek the truth is the real insanity.
Most people don’t want to know that we aren’t alone in the universe. Our ego would hardly allow the concept of a beta existence, under God that is. Our entire notion of “God” would be put into question.
Yes. We are clueless.

EUREKA SPRINGS : UFO Watchers Find Fewer Saucers

EUREKA SPRINGS— Aliens wear cowboy hats, or at least some of them do.
“I finished it too soon,” author Don Ray Walton said about his book that he says needs to be rewritten because beings from outer space gave him new information when they picked him up outside of Stephensville, Texas, earlier this year.
“I’ll have to rewrite the 12 th chapter,” he said of The Coming Human Aliens as hundreds of believers and curiosity seekers wandered by him Saturday during the 20 th annual Ozark UFO Conference in Eureka Springs.
Clad in a leather jacket, felt hat and brown cowboy boots, Walton looked like someone from Texas, which he calls home. Originally, he says he is from a little farther out.
“The Orion star system,” he said, adding that it’s pronounced “Our Ion,” as that is where the creator is.
Sitting on the lower floor of the convention center at the Inn of the Ozarks, Walton explained the aliens’ most recent message: Our solar system is heading toward a massive black hole.
In the next four years, humans will be offered salvation from representatives of 143, 999 alien races, Walton said.
The ships will only take those that are willing and ready, Walton said. It is up to each person to decide whether to go with the aliens or to stay and be devoured by the black hole.
At this conference, he wasn’t the only one talking about other-world experiences.
The three-day conference had nine speakers on topics ranging from crop circles to preparing to meet aliens.
There were no tin-foil hats or alien costumes. The crowd in the conference center appeared little different from those windowshopping downtown.
Of course, there may have been a heightened sense of questioning authority at the conference, as a sign inside the door read: “All government agents must register at the front desk and must wear name tags at all times NO EXCEPTIONS.” Featured speakers included Ted Phillips, a researcher from the Center for Physical Trace Research in Missouri.
Phillips gave a talk on evidence left by alien visitors, such as skeletons of calves left next to large burned circles on the ground. The traditional flying saucer is less and less common, he said, and aliens now are more likely to travel on powerful light orbs or beams, which would explain the burned circles.
Another of the lectures focused on recent UFO sightings in Texas that gained international attention. Video of scattered lights in the sky above a rural area were shown on CNN and on newscasts before the U. S. Air Force said it had planes conducting drills in the region. At first, the military denied any activity.
The conference attracted people from all of the country, and some who wandered in, such as Skip Lotten from Missouri.
Lotten said that he and his wife, who declined to give her name, were enjoying the event and learning from the speakers, who were helping to fill “the blank spaces in our ideas.” Along with the books and lectures were novelty items handmade by Stacia Noteman, who said she had seen a glowing light in the sky as a youth in Ohio. After seeing the lights, she brought her sister Betsy Hass, a UFO book vendor at the conference, out for a look.
“I don’t remember seeing anything, but the next day I was sick as a dog,” Hass said.
Blocks away in downtown Eureka Springs, many people had heard of the conference.
“In Eureka Springs, anything is pretty much accepted as normal,” said Michael Teague, who was walking downtown with his daughter Marley. He would have been interested in attending, but Teague said that his daughter is “scared to death of the subject matter.” Saturday’s UFO convention was the first for Mike Smith of Springdale. Smith has been interested in UFOs for more than 20 years, he said. Although he doesn’t report them, he said that anyone can see them if they look hard enough. “It’s an escape of your thoughts of the everyday things,” Smith said, of watching for UFOs.

Berwyn Mountain Crash Witness-What the Nurse Saw

Denbighshire-11 April 2008-THE nurse who witnessed the UFO crash near Bala 34 years ago has spoken exclusively about her experience.
Last week the Free Press revealed that confidential Ministry of Defence files on Unidentified Flying Objects are set to be made public in the coming weeks.
Among these declassified papers is expected to be evidence of the suspected UFO crash on Cader Berwyn on January 23, 1974. Dozens of witnesses across Lancashire and Cheshire phoned the police earlier that evening after seeing a strange formation of green lights flying erratically over the skies.
At 8.38 pm something impacted into the Berwyn mountains and the resulting tremor - which measured 4.5 on the Richter Scale - was felt in Wrexham, Chester, Liverpool and some areas of Manchester.
Reports at the time said a nurse who lived near the scene of the impact said a flying saucer 'the size of the Albert Hall' had smashed into a mountain, throwing debris and bodies for over a mile.
Now 34 years later the nurse puts the record straight in an exclusive interview with the Free Press.
"We heard this almighty tremor, the house shook, we thought an aircraft had crashed, and being a nurse thought we could help."

Are We Covertly Being Colonized By Aliens?

Those of us involved in the emerging field of exopolitics attempt to make sense out of the huge body of evidence available to us involving extraterrestrial reality. I believe the stakes are very high for all of humanity that we collectively understand our situation relative to UFO/ET reality. Developing this situational awareness involves understanding the real reasons for 60 year old UFO/ET cover up even while we struggle to end it.
The pattern I see emerging which I think is reasonably accurate is that we can define two categories of extraterrestrials, colonizers and liberators, interacting with humanity that are the most important for us to understand. I have written previously that there are two very basic evolutionary strategies in nature competition and cooperation, and because we are part of nature our society is driven by these evolutionary forces.
Just as with the laws of physics I see no reason why these evolutionary laws do not apply to the whole of the universe. This logic is confirmed by the facts available to me involving extraterrestrial reality. Of course this is not a new idea but one that runs though religious texts from around the world.
What the religious texts seem to indicate is that there has been a longstanding attempt by less ethical predatory colonizing extraterrestrials to take over this planet that are being resisted and thwarted by more ethical cooperative extraterrestrial races. All I am trying to do is bring the public up to speed on modern developments in what seems to be an end game scenario resulting in extraterrestrial colonization if we don’t get smart fast.
Those that demand absolute proof and are waiting for our government to announce the truth that extraterrestrials exist should think long and hard about what I now have to say. What are you going to do, where will you stand, should the President of the United States or the head of the UN make the following speech.
“Ladies and gentlemen I have something of great importance to relate to the whole of humanity. We are not alone in the universe. Over the past sixty years governments have been covertly investigating alien activity on and about our planet and have developed secret contact with several extraterrestrial races. I would like to relate to you that we have formed alliances with some of these races which we feel are necessary for national and global security in a universe that is both full of promise and great danger.
The leaders of all nations have decided that these alliances are essential for human survival even if though some may question the effect of these alliances on civil liberties and global sovereignty. In order to mitigate any possible societal shock and disruption world leaders have decided to declare a temporary worldwide state of emergency. People should not be distressed at the temporary institution of martial law and suspension of civil liberties as these are necessary steps to ensure order in time of crisis.”
The President or UN leader might go on to say, “The public should be aware that there are other extraterrestrial races that have failed to contact and collaborate with world governments. We have not always been successful in keeping these other races out of our airspace and off the planet. Citizens should not have contact with these races that may appear friendly but in fact could be dangerous. These uncooperative races are considered a very serious national security threat and any attempts by citizens to contact or interact with them will simply not be allowed.”
Some misguided individuals harboring false ideas of freedom and liberty will try to contact these subversive infiltrating races but if they do they will be severely punished. We regret that we will have to take such actions but it is necessary for the security of our nation. We in authority are completely on top of things and because we have a better overall understanding of the situation, citizens should and must allow us to do our job and trust our judgment. We are counting on all patriotic Americans to report any citizens having extraterrestrial contact on their own and without government permission to the authorities.”
I believe such a scenario would be a recipe for open civil war between autocrats and democrats worldwide. If this scenario came to pass will those of you that have blindly believed in your government and demanded absolute proof of extraterrestrial life now just as blindly support colonization and martial law? If we have to fight a revolutionary war all over again where will you stand?

UFO Encounter, West Virginia, 1952
|
My father was in the U.S. air force during WWII, and was discharged in 1946. When the Korean War started he was recalled to duty. His specialty in the military dealt with radar installations. Initially we lived in Manchester, New Hampshire, while he worked at Grenier AFB. In 1952 he was assigned to help set up a radar station in the hills of West Virginia. We lived in Wheeling, and I went to school there. I only accompanied him once up to the site where he worked. I recall a long, winding dirt road, with some scary drop-offs. After what seemed like ten miles of bad road, we came to the top of the mountain. His work place, an office setting, was in a narrow valley, just below the crest of the hill. I can remember being shown a large radar dish at the very top of the ridge. I vaguely recall a number of little buildings and vehicles parked around the site.
The interesting thing about this incident, from my personal experience, occurred at our house in Wheeling. One evening after my father came home from work, my younger brother and I were playing in the living room, when two men in business suits came to our front door. My dad met them and then immediately told us to go to our room. The demeanor of both my dad and these men was extremely serious. My brother went, but I started down the hall and then ducked down and hid behind a couch, which was set at right angle to the wall, extending the hall into the living room. I was intensely curious about the men and why they seemed so intent.
They told my father they wanted his camera and any film for it that he had. He tried to argue with them but they insisted. My father was a very forceful man and I was amazed at how easily he acquiesced to them. He got the camera and went out to his car and brought back another roll of film for it. The curious part of this incident was that before they left, the men told my dad that it was strictly government business and he was never to mention it to anyone. My mother had been in the kitchen during all this and after the men had left, Dad told her not to worry and he would get the camera back. It was a nice Kodak, he did eventually get it back, and kept it around until he died, when my brother got it as an antique.
Fast forward the clock to about 1986 or 1987, my father and I were elk hunting on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, where we lived. We were driving back to our camp and going down the west side of a hill toward the water, when we saw three circles or globes of light moving left to right on the clouds out over the Pacific Ocean. It was obvious that these were reflections on the clouds, off the water, from the setting sun. I mentioned that an active imagination might conceive those as UFOs. We had a brief chuckle. Later that night, Dad brought up the lights again and told me that UFOs weren't really all that funny, and once you encountered a real one you'd never laugh about them again.
He asked if I remembered when the military police had come to our house and taken his camera years earlier. I said I did, and confessed to him I had eave-dropped on the conversation. He said that earlier on that same day, he had been in his quonset hut office at the radar site, when an excited airman had rushed in and told him he had to come quick to look at a strange object over the radar dish. Dad said when he got outside, everyone had gathered in the road and they were all looking up the hill. There, suspended two or three hundred feet up above the site, was a large metallic gray football (my Dad's description).
He said that initially it was three hundred yards away and he could see vague details on it, positioned like windows, but not really opaque. He said it appeared as just dark squares on the upper surface.
He went in and got his camera and took several shots of it in that position. After several minutes, he said the object teetered side to side slightly, then started down the valley towards them. While this went on, he told someone to call their headquarters and was told the phones were inoperative, as was the radio. He took a number of pictures, and when the object was almost directly overhead, he saw seams radiating from the center of the bottom towards the outside rim. Overhead, the object was seen to be a round sphere, with dark rectangles near the edge. It had an overall matte finish, not shiny. Dad said the thing was totally silent, but he had a vague recollection of feeling a slight vibration when it was at its closest point to him.
After three or four minutes, the object glided slowly back up the hill, rose in the air, grew smaller as the distance increased, and finally disappeared over the mountain.
Altogether, he had shot a roll of film and had started another. When I pressed him on his description, he said there was no doubt that the thing was a constructed object, not a reflection or natural anomaly. He saw indications of it having been built by someone. It had seams, windows, and he vaguely recalled small ports, what he called small pipes, on its undercarriage. He said one thing he looked for was insignia, or markings, but there were none.
Shortly after that, a day or two, everyone who had been at the scene were brought to a general meeting, and then interviewed separately. They were all debriefed in the classic manner and told not to talk about the incident with anyone, including each other. They were also firmly told about national security and their allegiance to it. He said he got his camera back about a month later, sans film.
A short while after the incident we all moved to Eglin AFB in Florida. The folks, being from New England, didn't care for Florida. My dad was discharged a year or so later. He returned to his former employer in Massachusetts, the Bell Telephone System, whom he worked for the next thirty-six years. He told me that in all the time between the incident and that hunting trip he had never mentioned what they had seen. He was a pragmatic, highly organized, practical man. As an avid outdoorsman, he laughed at the idea of Bigfoot or dinosaur creatures in a lake, but he was purely serious about the West Virginia incident in 1952. After he told me of that incident, I have never doubted the existence of what we term UFOs. Who makes them, or where they're from, I have no idea, but some very realistic people have encountered them. Dad died in 1998. I know this doesn't really add to the body of experiences detailed on your web site, but it might provide some insight into things that occurred around that time and place.

California-Shining Object

Hi my name is Chris Rubio. I'm a big fan of your web site. I had a close encounter with a UFO when I was 18. I never did report that encounter. However, in recent days, on April 11, 12, and 13, I have seen a UFO in Victorville California where I live. The first day I was working at my school Puesta Del Sol elementary school.
I took my class out for a final recess before it was time to go home. I first saw a commercial jet flying on my left from my view point. I then looked to my right and there was a shining object. I thought it was a plane with the sun reflecting off its wing or fuselage. I watched the object hoping it would change direction. It was moving slowly and then it disappeared.
The other two sightings were at night and I have witnesses. The object was a white light flying at night-it had no beacon lights or blinking lights. I watched it fly by and disappear. I'm going to try to film it if and when I see it again. I have a feeling it knows I have seen it. The other witnesses are three teenage boys that I work with and my fiance.
I have a lot of knowledge on military aircraft because my dad was in the Air Force for twenty years. I have studied military aircraft for a long time and been around them. I also know that the Predator drone does not have lights on it, but it wouldn't shine like that, and I wouldn't see it at night cause it doesn't have lights. I bring this up because they test fly Predator drones at El Mirage dry lake bed. Also Edwards Air Force base is an hour away from here, and Lockheed Skunk works has a facility out here somewhere. source: www.ufocasebook

Texas-Blinding Lights

04-09-08-My brother lives in Greenville, Texas, and he and his family saw the lights in two different cars in two different places that day. They had met to get something to eat and had gone different directions before going home. As they were doing their errands, they had been talking on the phone and all of a sudden his wife had to hang up and pull over. Then my brother had to pull over also because of the lights and finally got her back on the phone.
The lights were so bright they couldn't see what was above them, then it just disappeared after about 5 minutes, no planes, no sounds, nothing. My brother was a good distance away in his car and his wife and kids were in the van and pretty much right under it, but the light stretched that far and was that bright. They had their whole town of Greenville between them at the time this happened.
Apparently there was a lot of people in this area at the time and all had to pull over because they couldn't see to keep driving. His young kids couldn't sleep that night and have had trouble since from being so scared. Just thought I'd let you know, they are pretty freaked out about it and are all telling the complete truth. I didn't know if you would like the info about Greenville being a hotspot. I wish I had been there! I live in central Oklahoma so we aren't so lucky here. source: www.ufocasebook.com

Utah-Star-Like Object

Salt Lake City-4-13-08-Time: 15:00 (3:00 4:00 PM) Duration: 15 Minutes 1st craft, 10 minutes or so 2nd flashing craft. Five Witnesses-2 Craft. It was a nice sunny day, no clouds in the sky. My husband, my son, I, and his friend and my female neighbor were out in our backyard enjoying the sunshine. We saw some birds fly by in the sky. I noticed way high up there was a bright star, not moving. I said guys, "What is that?"
It was 3:00 PM in the afternoon, with a blue sky, why is there a star? My husband went in and got our 2 sets of binoculars, and gave one to me. Object was slowly, and I mean slowly, moving northwest. We watched it for about 15 minutes, all 5 of us! I got a closeup of it, and it was a bright round white light. When it was out of sight, my son's friend noticed another one about 15 minutes later, north again, same size but this one was flashing. We were surprised.
It was like it was flashing on and off for us. It was the size of a bright star. We live in the path of the airport and watched the planes fly all day. These were no planes, and the bright lights were really, really high up. The flashing one we saw headed slowly northwest until we couldn't see it anymore. Australia-8 Bright Lights

03-23-08-On Sunday night 10.30 PM, 23-3-08, I was walking from my car back to the house when above me moving eastward I saw 8 bright lights, moving in the sky not all that high 400 or 500 meters above. The lights did not blink... they were in the shape of a bird. I watched them moving above into a cloud where they disappeared from sight.

Scotland-Oblong Object
|
04-07-08-My name is Colin Stevenson. I live near Aberdeen in Scotland. My UFO sighting happened when I was flying from Paris to Tunis. At 16:10 on Monday the 7th of April, I left Paris Charles De Gaul airport bound for Tunis. My flight number was AF 2384. (Air France) The aircraft was an Airbus A319 and was traveling at an approximate altitude of 35,000 Feet. Between 17:00 hours and 17:30 hours I was looking out of the window on the left side. I noticed in the distance above the cloud cover and slightly higher than the flight a large oblong shape in the distance.
It had a greyish- copper colour. I watched the object for some time thinking to myself 'Could this be my first UFO sighting?' The object was sitting still in the sky. It looked solid. Not clouds or anything explainable. As I was watching it, I noticed to the right at the cloud level, a small dark shape that looked like a fighter jet traveling in the opposite direction from my flight. It was small, but I could just about make out the shape of the tail and nose. Behind the jet was its slipstream, dark in colour. I watched the jet fly up over the cloud cover heading towards the object I was watching.
The jet then turned right and up, getting closer to the object. Then I saw the jet do a zigzag motion towards the object. I could tell the zigzag motion by watching its slipstream. As it got closer, I noticed the object (UFO) get small very quickly, then it disappeared as if it was moving away from my flight and the jet.
About 15 minutes later, I saw the fighter jet fly in the direction as the plane I was on and descend back down through the clouds. Obviously going back to base. I don't know what country we were flying over at the time but I think it was Italy. I am sure this was a UFO. I can't explain what else it would be. And I don't think a fighter jet would be chasing nothing. If there were any other passengers onboard who saw this too, I don't know. But I am confident in saying this was my first UFO sighting.
