"Adamski-style" UFO Photographed over Mt. 2080, Trento, Italy
August, 15 2007 - Rifugio Buffaure Mt. 2080 - Pozza di Fassa (Trento - Italy)

The witness was taking pictures of the valley from Mt. 2080 and when viewing back the pictures noticed this object with apparent metallic borders. The witness assumes the object was at about 2000 altitude and 1 km. away from the camera.

We still have to conduct image enhancements on the picture to determine if is really an "Adamski-style" UFO or some bird flying in the zone. The witness released his personal data and when contacted provided original high-res pictures so anyone who is interested could help us carry on this kind of analysis.

Alien Eyewitness William Gill Passes
UFO Reverend William (Bill) Booth Gill (5 January 1928 – 13 June 2007): a man of service and integrity; a potent and compelling witness to the extraordinary 1959 UFO “visitants” of Boianai Papua New Guinea. I am saddened to report on the passing of Reverend William (Bill) Gill on 13 June 2007 at the age of 79. His funeral service was held at the Church of Holy Trinity, Anglican Parish of Surrey Hills, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Reverend Gill became known to the UFO field for his famous UFO sightings at Boianai Papua New Guinea in June 1959. The sightings of June 26 and 27 1959 became widely recognised as some of the best in the history of the UFO mystery. Because of that status the sightings of the “Boianai visitants” also became the focus of attempts to explain them in diverse prosaic terms. They also became the target of often ill thought sceptical and debunking attempts. None of these adequately addresses the reality of the Boianai UFO entity sightings. Reverend William Gill’s observations were supported by 37 members of his native mission.

Over the decades I got to know Bill Gill I learnt that he was an honest and thoughtful man, who was very tolerant of others, particularly when it came to consideration of his famous UFO sightings. We met on a number of occasions, talked extensively about his experience and corresponded over the years, about the Boianai events and other matters, beyond UFOs. He was a thoroughly likeable and impressive person.

William Booth Gill’s life was an impressive testimony of a commitment to service and integrity. He got involved with professional stage work between 1933 to 1940 and was with the Air League/Army cadets between during the war years. He was educated at Mont Albert Primary, Trinity Grammar, studied Theology at Brisbane, Queensland’s St. Francis College (1948-1950) and education at Queensland University. He attended Monash University, Mercer House Teacher’s College and the Melbourne Victoria College of Divinity.

Later in life Bill Gill undertook sociological research between 1986 and 1987 at Latrobe University. Academically he was very well accredited with a B.A., Th.L., Adv. Dip.Theology., Dip. R. Ed. Bill’s working life was just as impressive. He began teaching in Papua New Guinea in 1948. Bill Gill became an ordained priest in Queensland in 1950 and returned to mission work in Papua New Guinea, where he was also in educational administration between 1952 and 1959. Reverend Gill was the founding head of St. Francis’ Educational Centre at Port Moresby between 1953 and 1954. He even was a sessional broadcaster on 9PA radio at Port Moresby in 1953 and between 1959 and 1962 he tried his hand at freelance writing with the Brisbane Sunday Mail.

Upon his return to Australia after his mission and education career in Papua New Guinea he taught at Essendon Grammar (1960-61), Camberwell Grammar (1962-1980) and St. Michael’s Grammar (1981-1987). In his travels Rev Gill apart from his lengthy stay in Papua New Guinea, he visited South Australia, Tasmania, Perth, Western Australia, the Australian east coast to Cairns, Thailand, England (where he did educational survey work and temping at Magdelan College in Oxham during 1971). He visited the United States during 1977 and 1978, lecturing in Chicago at North Western University, about his 1959 UFO experience. Reverend Gill talked about his experience in a documentary – “UFOs are Here” made in 1977 by Guy Baskin (a documentary in which I made an appearance as well – definitely a youthful “seventies” look).

An article written at the time of his retirement from teaching, by “A.R.C.H” of St. Michael’s Grammar school in Melbourne, Victoria, highlighted, “(Father William Gill) worked (in Papua New Guinea) for almost a decade, including seven years as a Head Teacher and Sub-District Education Administrator. Because of his dedicated hard work, he won a fine reputation for himself, and deep affection from many Papuans and New Guineans as well as his fellow Europeans…. (At St. Michael’s) he taught English, History and Christian Education … His pastoral work was always quiet, unobtrusive and effective…. Father Gill was an excellent classroom teacher …. His most definitely has been a career distinguished by kindness and loyalty.”

My last face-to-face time with Bill Gill was at the June 2003 Brisbane UFO conference which he gave his final UFO lecture. He had mixed feelings about giving this lecture and had asked me about whether to do it. I had mixed feelings about it as well, but for me apart from the personal side, wanting to meet up with him again, there was a firm sense of history. I told him that his presence would be a determining factor of my own decision to attend the conference. I assured him that he would be well received, even though the audience would be a mixed crowd. I videoed his Brisbane lecture – which is now a record of his last UFO lecture, a record I have made available to his family. Bill enjoyed the occasion. It was a great opportunity to catch up with him again and see him present his account of these remarkable sightings.

By any measure Reverend William Gill was a remarkable man, with a life full of service and integrity. His intersection with the UFO mystery with the 1959 Boianai PNG UFO “visitants” was a potent and credible expression of the UFO mystery.

Thanks Bill for a life well lived and for your wonderful testament to one of life’s great mysteries. Best wishes and good journeying…

Unknown Objects Videotaped at Airbourne Air Show
United Kingdom-Here is an unexpected video I've made from footage from the Airbourne air show on Friday 17th August 2007. Collecting footage to use for another video I intended to make, I noticed these strange, fast moving objects, moving across the sky, when I reviewed the footage.

You could argue these are lens flares, but I've been using camcorders for years and haven't seen flares like these before. Two of the objects even seem to chase the plane.

I have no idea what these are, but they are certainly unusual. Perhaps I should have labeled this "My First UFO Video" ? ;)

The music is Mission by Gary Numan (who, being an accompished stunt pilot himself, may have seen some of these things...)

More Video from Videotaped at Airbourne Air Show
My name is Mark Mann and on June 19th 2004 in Northern British Columbia, Canada, I videotaped many of the objects shown in the air show tape. I was wondering if they would appear somewhere else as there was so many of them in the sky that day. I even managed to get one frame showing them in almost focus. Attached are a couple of stills from the video I shot. Compare them to the air show footage and I know they are the same objects.

Here is the video you requested, or at least part of it. The objects from the still are at time index 28:13. It is important to note that ALL of the other things zipping by are also these objects. I recorded almost 45 minutes of these things but only managed to save a little over 2 minutes on disk before the video was recorded over. In that 2+ minutes there are around 200 of these objects flying around. Over the whole time in that little patch of sky, who knows how many there were, or for how long they had been passing by. So here's the history of this video.

On June 19th, 2004 I was over at a friends house helping to finish a deck that we rebuilt the day before. At around 2-2:30 I was just sitting around so I grabbed his camcorder to see if I could film some "Rods" by placing the camcorder on a tripod and tilting it up at around 60 degrees or so, in such a manner that the sun was just blocked by the roof edge. I then zoomed out to 40x digital zoom. I had not used his camcorder before so I did not properly set the focus. The sky was a nice deep blue with not a cloud in sight. Blocking the sun with the roof did not show any tree fluff or anything like that flying around. With just your eyes one could see nothing, the sky was empty.

Around 35-40x these things started to show up zipping by at a high rate of speed. I knew they were not bugs or that white fluff that is around in the summer and was at a loss for what I was filming. After 45 minutes I shut it off and went inside to the computer. Using his wife's computer I downloaded about 20 minutes of footage when he got a call from work and we had to go. A couple of days later I was back over there looking at the footage frame by frame trying to figure out what I had got. At that time it had skipped over the frame with the two objects almost in focus so I continued to go frame by frame for awhile then again had to leave. A day later my friend took his camcorder to a family reunion and taped over my footage.

Luckily I managed to save 2+ minutes onto a disk before he left. When they got back his wife did a reboot of her computer wiping out all the footage an it. It was almost a month later when I was going over the disk that I saw the frame with the 2 objects. It was then that I started to understand what I had on tape. How many others did I get in focus on the rest of the video? What else had the camcorder caught that day? I'll never know cause the footage is gone, made me sick to even think about it.

The only way to understand this footage is to go over it frame by frame. I've also included a few out of many other objects I've seen and filmed over the last couple of years for your enjoyment.

A big thanks to Mr. Mann for sending in his photos and video.

Video of Object over Oregon-08-17-07
Witness stepped off public transportation and looked to the sky while walking to the parking lot of where his car was parked. He noticed a dark grey object hovering/floating at about 250 feet above his head. He removed a Sony DCR-HC38 40x Handycam from his bag that he always carries with him and captured the attached video.

The object was spherical in shape and with the naked eye appeared and faded only to reappear a short distance away. The witness stopped filming long enough to turn the auto focus off and change the camera to "infinity" setting. During those few seconds, the object had moved to about 1,500 feet away. He captured a few more seconds of tape before the object disappeared completely into the distance.

The witness reports that he saw no unusual features about the object other than it was spherical, about 2 to 3 feet in diameter, dull finish.

Incident at A5 Road, November 8, 1966

Military Documents Verify Amazing UFO Encounter

Over the course of the last few weeks, I have posted to the Phenomena website a whole range of reports, interviews and official documents that I collected during my years as a UFO investigator in the UK and that I had not previously highlighted or published. I recently received an email from a guy who had read the material on the site and he asked me what I considered to be the strangest official UFO related document that I had ever found in the British Government's archives. I really didn't have to give this much thought: I knew instantly what my answer would be.

Without doubt the most unusual report (in my opinion, at least) I ever came across at the National Archive (formerly the Public Record Office) at Kew, England, surfaced in 1999. It concerns an incident that dated from 1966 and that originated with the British Royal Air Force's Provost and Security Services – an elite arm of the RAF that until 1998 had its headquarters at a British RAF base named Rudloe Manor, and that has for many years been the alleged central hub for classified, official UFO investigations.

In a painstakingly-detailed report, one Corporal R.A. Rickwood of the P&SS Special Investigation Section, related to his superiors the facts:

"On 10th November 1966 a telephone message was received from Flight Lieutenant Williams, RAF Shawbury, reporting that a Mrs. Foulkes of [Address of the witness] Shrewsbury, had complained that his daughter had been frightened by an object in the sky whilst she had been driving along the A5 road near Great Ness at 2355 hours on 8th November 1966. This object had emitted brilliant lights and radiation beams. On arriving home her daughter had been in a distressed condition and she had discovered marks on the car, which she considered were burn marks.

"On 14th November 1966, Miss Diane Foulkes, aged 22 years, a typist employed in Shrewsbury was seen at her home in the presence of her parents. She stated that she had received a letter dated 11th November 1966 from RAF Shawbury signed by a Flight Lieutenant Penny informing her that no service aircraft had been flying in that area at the time of the incident. She was now satisfied that the incident was in no way connected with the Royal Air Force or the Armed Forces. She then went on to relate her experiences connected with this enquiry. There had been two similar incidents. The first occurred two years ago in November 1964, when she had been driving from Shrewsbury to her home along the A5 road. This was at about 0200 hours as she neared the Montford Bridge over the River Severn. Approximately midway between Shrewsbury and Great Ness a brightly lit circular object appeared in the sky above her car. She had been frightened and had accelerated along the road. The object had kept pace with her remaining at the same height until she arrived home. She had told her mother and father who also watched the object. She described the object as an especially bright light in the sky which remained stationary due west from their home for about half an hour. It had then rapidly diminished in size and they assumed it had accelerated away from them. No sound was heard from the object. The light was yellow in colour and became red as it diminished.

"The second incident occurred on the 8th November 1966 at 2355 hours and again whilst she was returning from Shrewsbury on the same road. The object had again appeared at Montford Bridge but this time it was much lower in the sky and on the north side of the road. On this occasion she could see rays of light shooting from the object which had again appeared to keep station with her car until she arrived home. At one time during the journey the object travelled near her and the rays seemed to come towards the right hand side of her car. She felt a bump against that side as if they had struck it. At this moment she felt as if she had received an electric shock and had felt a severe pain in her neck. The left-hand side headlight of the car also went out. This made her extremely frightened. When she got home she felt very ill and had complained to her parents. The object again remained stationary in the sky north of her home and had not been seen by her parents. They had noticed it for a short time before going inside her home. There had been no sign of the object on the following morning.

"Miss Foulkes' parents confirmed seeing an object in the sky on both occasions as described by their daughter and agreed with her descriptions of these.

"Miss Foulkes further stated that she believed that the objects could be associated with a Mr Griffin who lived in the area and who is reputed to have made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met one of the occupants. He is also alleged to make his contacts with them at Montford Bridge.

"The local civil police had no information or reports of sightings of objects in the sky. There is no evidence to associate the incidents complained of with the Royal Air Force and the complainant Miss Foulkes is now satisfied that the incidents are unexplainable and are in no way connected with the Armed Forces."

In essence, that is the file. It is clear from examining its contents that the witness had reported some stunning experiences: "the rays of shooting light" that enveloped her car; the electric shock-like pain that surged through her neck as the vehicle was bathed in the beam of light; the loss of power from the car's headlights (something that is reported time and again in UFO encounters); and the potentially-worrying fact that the experience had left the witness "very ill."

Perhaps the most significant factor, however, was the reference of the Provost and Security Services to a man in the near vicinity that had reputedly "made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met the occupants." Prior to the 1970s, very little exposure was given to so-called alien abduction incidents; however, many of the factors present in the P&SS report lead me to believe that something very strange indeed had taken place in the Great Ness area of Shrewsbury in 1966, and that that "something" was very possibly connected with abduction-like encounters.

Oddly, despite the fact that the official file on this case was declassified more than half a decade ago -and the document at issue has been examined by a number of UFO researchers - it seems that little or no attempt has been made to resolve the case. Perhaps now with its contents highlighted here, someone will take a fresh look at the case and attempt to resolve the question of what really happened nearly 40 years ago at Montford Bridge.

Arkansas-Blinking Object
07-30-Malvern-It was 12:45 am, on 07/30/07 with a partly cloudy sky, some stars out and a full moon. I was at home and I decided to go outside to enjoy the warm night and the full moon and sky/stars. I was out for about 5 minutes when to my left in the sky, with about a 30 to 40 degree line of sight up, I noticed a very rapidly blinking light, it was just a little bit bigger than a star and blinking like wild, it was traveling across the sky to the left and was not staying in any kind of straight line, it made several erratic moves and then did one very wild move.

It moved in then out and up and around and then back down and around the same way, it was almost like it followed the pattern of a horseshoe, after that it went behind a cloud and there it stayed, I watched for it to come out the other side or back up the same way but it never did, it stayed behind the cloud.

I was pretty excited by then and was watching the sky for it, then another light to the right of where the one went behind the clouds....and I don't mean right next to it, it was across the sky a good distance and moving to the left in the same direction as the other one did, about the same height in the sky as the other one, it too was blinking rapidly, it was also flying erratic, no horseshoe moves but nothing like a plane or helicopter would fly, it traveled across the sky and I watched it, I could make out a few other colors of lights in this one but mainly it looked like a very bright white light, blinking like crazy... almost ID to the other one, this one went behind the same cloud and disappeared also.

I was pretty excited by then, I've never seen anything like this in my life before. Sure, I've seen a few odd and end things in the sky before, but nothing can I say I've ever seen that looked like this did, or acted like this did. I stayed out a little while longer and watched the sky but never saw anything else, I never saw these two lights emerge from behind the cloud either. I came back in and wrote down what I saw so I wouldn't get things mixed up or forget or remember something I didn't see. I thought long and hard about it, there's no way this was a plane of any kind, plus I've seen planes in the night sky before, this wasn't a plane and it wasn't a helicopter.

There was no sound emitted from the objects/lights. It wasn't a star, it wasn't a satellite, and it wasn't a weather balloon, flare or anything like that... it moved too erratic to be anything I know of, plus I thought it was interesting that I saw the one, then I saw the second one and they both went behind the same cloud. California-Cigar-Shaped Object
08-14-07-Visalia-7:30 AM PST-My Dad (retired, former military) called me to report a sighting. He was standing outside his home when he looked up and saw a metallic cigar shaped craft. There was no propeller, no wings, no sound, no contrail, heading North West with an approximate altitude of 10,000 ft.

He said it was moving fast enough that he did not have time to call my Mom out to see it. He's never reported anything before so I thought I'd let you know. Love your site, Segdumgirl-source: www.ufocasebook.com

Florida-Four Green Lights Hovering
08-14-I just saw this event happen, and I know I'm not the only one to have seen it. I was outside on vacation here in St. Augustine Florida . I was getting ready to go out sea fishing at night when I walked out on the deck and I saw a light formation which was hovering it looked like four green lights and it was hovering from left to right slowly.

It must of had been there for about a good 10minutes then did a circular motion in the sky then took off and formed into one green light going east. There were about 3 or 4 aircraft in the area that might of saw this also as well as many people might of saw this. It happened around 10:15-10:30PM EST source: www.mufon.com

Minnesota-Green Fireball
Minnesota-Green Fireball 08-14-My neighbor was over last night and got a call from his wife about 9:30. She was driving south on I-35 about 100 miles north of St Paul. She said that she had just seen a green fireball fly across the sky. We thought that was cool since my wife and I had seen the same kind of thing a few years ago in Iowa City. A few minutes later we get another call from her. She says that she was looking at what she thought was the red light on top of a cell phone tower but way too high. Then three fighter jets flying in formation flew over them.

She says at that point the red light flew off to the east and the fighter jets followed. When he got off the phone with her we decided to go outside and have a look. It was clear last night and the stars were out in full force. Right away we saw a satellite traveling from south to north we see those a lot up here. I was remarking on how most satellites travel west to east when two bright reddish orange lights come streaking across the path of the satellite.

These two lights looked like they were going to collide. One came out of the east and the other out of the north east. When they got close to each other they both veered away from one another doing this zig zag pattern across the sky. The entire sighting lasted about three seconds, these things were bookin'. What a weird night, I would love to know if any one else saw anything. source: www.mufon.com

England-Multiple Witness Unknown Object
07-14-Between 19.30 and 20.00 hrs I was sitting with others in my rear garden in the Heathrow area having a beer, I was sitting out on the edge of the patio and had a clear view of the sky over the roof of my bungalow. I noticed on the far left of my horizon what I first thought was a balloon, perfectly round in shape and terricotta in color. It was moving through the sky from my left to my right, I watched for a few seconds and realized the it was not behaving like a balloon as it was flying level and in a dead straight line. At this point I alerted the others, 6 of them and we all witnessed the same thing and all agreed that it was not an aircraft or a balloon and there wasn't anything attached to it.

We observed this for 2 to three mins until it disappeared to our far right. During the whole journey across the sky the object did fly in a dead straight line and at the same altitude. Although it is very difficult to judge height and speed from the ground if the size of the object is unknown, It appeared to us to be about 3ft in diameter, quite high 10,000 ft of more and appeared to travel silently at about the same speed as an airliner 500 to 600 MPH. It was like nothing any of us had seen before therefore at the moment it remains a UFO. We contacted the local police at Hounslow who in turn contacted Heathrow Air traffic control who reported back that nothing unusual had been reported, However we know what we saw an I wonder did anybody else see it. Regards, John source: www.ufocasebook.com

England-Large Object
08-12-It was the early hours of Sunday August 12th a beautifully clear sky and very warm, I was sitting in my garden with a cup of coffee watching the Perseid shooting stars which were the left -overs from Comet Swift Tuttle, when a very large object shot across the sky , it had a faded light to it, did not leave a trail, made no sound, and had a heavy rolling action which reminded me of a rolling pin being rolled across a table at great speed.

It came from behind my house, rolled across the sky in a straight line and faded away in the distance, it gave me such a shock! in fact that night I saw five in total and they were all the same, a bit like heavy clouds with a semi transparent look, some of them rolled off in different directions. I have emailed the British Astronomers Society to see if it might have been parts of the Swift Tuttle and I have emailed John Ingham Environment Editor of The Daily Express who wrote an article on the the expected Meteor Shower, just to see if anyone else reported the same things.

I have not had any replies as yet. Have you come across anything like this? Yours Sincerely, Sandra V.- Poole in Dorset (on the South Coast of England)
