I have been reluctant to post this information on an upcoming announcement by our government, because I do not know the sources, and I would be very surprised if indeed any type of announcement is made.
I am not saying that I would not be thrilled if Obama did validate the fact that UFOs are real, and contact between the human race and aliens has been made. I am saying that I would be shocked if it does occur.
Many of you have written to me asking about the information below. If you have comments, please post them in the comments section below the article.)
Official disclosure of extraterrestrial life is imminent
An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life.
Dissatisfaction among powerful institutions such as the U.S. Navy over the decades-long secrecy policy has given a boost to efforts to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial life and technology.
The impending disclosure announcement follows upon the secret implementation of a year long openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Over the period February 12-14, 2008, the United Nations held closed doors discussions where approximately 30 nations secretly agreed on a new openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in 2009.
The openness policy was implemented but never publicly announced due to threats against UN diplomats not to disclose details of the secret agreement. The secret UN agreement was based on two conditions.
First, UFOs would continue to appear around the world; and second, the openness policy would not lead to social unrest in liberal democracies. Both conditions have been satisfied making it possible for the next stage to begin – official disclosure of extraterrestrial life.
Obama’s September 24, 2009 chairing of the UN Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, signaled his emerging leadership role in tackling major global issues such as nuclear weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize was an important step in giving global legitimacy to President Obama in making an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement.
Obama is therefore poised to play a prominent role in the increased global governance that will be necessary after an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. The timing would most likely coincide sometime soon after his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.
There have been various sources that have revealed deliberations are underway to make an announcement concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2009. These include, Dr Pete Peterson, a whistleblower who has recently emerged revealing high level discussions have taken place concerning announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life.
In a Project Camelot interview, Dr Peterson revealed that “Obama is planning to disclose the reality of ET contact by the end of the year; and that most, but not all, of the ET visitors are friendly.”
Another source is David Wilcock, a prominent researcher of emerging scientific paradigms. Wilcock has been told by additional independent sources that extraterrestrial disclosure will take place by the end of 2009. He furthermore claimed in a Coast to Coast AM radio interview that “a 2-hour international TV special has already been booked that will introduce an alien species, similar to humans, to the world.”
In addition, popular NASA and space researcher, Richard Hoagland, has publicly come forward to reveal that the October 9, LCROSS ‘bombing’ mission of the moon, discovered an ancient base at the moon’s South Pole. Reviewing the scientific data achieved by NASA’s LCROSS mission, Hoagland concluded, also on the popular late night Coast to Coast AM radio show, that “LCROSS is part of a carefully constructed campaign to prepare the populace for imminent disclosure.
The President of the United States will soon announce that scientists have discovered ruins on the moon, he added. Nobody saw the LCROSS debris plume because the probes struck a building which swallowed the effects of the explosion.”
Finally, two independent and confidential sources have revealed to me that face to face meetings have recently occurred between U.S. military officials with one or more groups of extraterrestrial visitors. This has allegedly led to confidence being built for future cooperation with the extraterrestrials that will be formally announced to the world public either at the end of 2009, or early 2010.
In conclusion, a diverse number of sources and events point to some form of extraterrestrial disclosure being made by the end of 2009, or early 2010. Official disclosure will most likely emerge in either of two scenarios.
One is that President Obama will announce the existence of extraterrestrial visitors, and describe one or more of these to the world. This scenario is supported by Peterson, Wilcock, and my own confidential sources.
The second scenario is that an announcement will be made concerning the discovery of artificial structures at the moon’s South Pole, as revealed by the LCROSS mission. This scenario is supported by Hoagland.
Which ever of the above scenarios is used for announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life or technology, President Obama will figure prominently. Behind the scenes, powerful institutions are ensuring that nothing derails the planned disclosure announcement.
The disclosure will follow upon a year of greater government openness on UFOs in accord with a policy secretly developed at the United Nations. If extraterrestrial disclosure does occur at the end of 2009 or early 2010, President Obama will lead an unprecedented effort to promote global governance through the United Nations.
The Obama administration and its supporters are poised to take a bold step forward in helping our planet become an interplanetary culture that openly deals with the challenges posed by extraterrestrial life.
The former Brazil’s Air Force minister Sócrates Monteiro was interviewed by
the Brazilian UFO Magazine and made astonishing statements about the action
of extraterrestrial intelligences in the country.
Another distinguished officer supports the campaign UFOs: Freedom of
Information Now!
Last Sunday, October 25th, Brazilian UFO Magazine interviewed the former
minister of Air Force during the government of Fernando Collor, from
1990-1992, lieutenant-brigadier Sócrates da Costa Monteiro.
The interview
was conducted in his residence in Rio de Janeiro and was performed by this
editor A. J. Gevaerd, with the cooperation of the co-editor Marco Antonio
Petit and the consultants Francisco Pires de Campos and Arthur Ferreira
Neto.
It was more than two hours of extremely interesting and fruitful
conversation, in which the military felt comfortable to talk about Ufology,
like some other officials who also gave their statements to Brazilian UFO
Magazine.
Monteiro is retired from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) for a number of
years, but keeps his bounds with active militaries from various sectors of
the Brazilian military. He has an extremely lucid memory of the major facts
of his activities in the Air Force and – of special interest to the Ufology
– about how the country handled with the matter during the time when he was
on active duty.
Like other ministers, before and after him, Monteiro also
had access to sensitive information on the interaction of other cosmic
species in our country, reporting a few cases. He was pilot of many airplane
types, including fighters, gathering more than 5 thousand flight hours in
them.
Technology far more advanced than ours
The officer was the commander of I Integrated Air Defense and Air Traffic
Control Centre (Cindacta), in Brasilia, at the time when he was ahead of
registering the ufological occurrences all over the country, especially in
the area of the Federal District and Southeast region.
He revealed that the
observations of unidentified flying objects were regular on the radar
screens of the institution, well before he assumed its command, and that all
the cases were carefully registered, with some of them being further
investigated by the Air Force. In that occasion the expression “Traffic
Hotel” was not yet used to designate UFOs.
Monteiro described a situation when the radar station of Cindacta in Gama
(DF) was overflown at low altitude by a disk type object of great
proportions, and that its staff, without knowing what to do, opened fire
against the “intruder”.
When he got to know it, Monteiro gave them express
orders to stop the gun fire immediately. “They have a technology far more
advanced than ours and we don’t know how they would react to our action”.
The interviewee also was the commander of IV Regional Air Command (COMAR),
in São Paulo, institution that controls the air space of the Southeast
region, during the famous “UFO Official Night in Brazil”, on May 19th 1986,
when the area was flooded by the appearance of more than 20 flying spheres
of more than 100 m diameter each, which were chased by 7 FAB’s fighters F-5E
and Mirage, sent from the air bases of Santa Cruz (RJ) and Anápolis (GO).
This is one of the most important ufological cases in the country, which
counted on the participation of the Embraer’s president at that time colonel
Ozires Silva, on board of a Xingu airplane heading from Brasilia to Sao José
dos Campos. Ozires spotted an object and even chased it over Sao Paulo
state.
As it is known, the Air Force Minister at that time Octavio Moreira
Lima went to TV in national broadcast, the next day, to admit the “invasion”
of Brazilian air space by UFOs. Both, Ozires and Moreira Lima, are friends
of Monteiro and the first told him details of his sighting. Ozires is at
this moment being contacted by Brazilian UFO Magazine for new statements.
UFO Official Night in Brazil
As it’s known, the government just released a very important document about
the mentioned “UFO Official Night in Brazil”, in which it is admitted that
the observed objects were “solid and reflected somehow intelligence”,
additional to the fact that made amazing maneuvers. The document can be
downloaded at: www.ufo.com.br/documentos/night/.
With this disclosure, the main matter of
the interview, naturally, was the occurrence on May 19th 1986, which was
confirmed in different ways by Monteiro, including details unknown until the
moment. It is attributed to him some strong statements about the facts,
given at that time.
For example, the officer said that “for many years
these cases have been registered by the Air Force” and that the UFOs “went
from 250 to 1.500 km/h in seconds”. Monteiro also said that “FAB recorded
the entire event on tape”. These facts are now complemented by him.
Always referring to the term “electronic abnormalities”, “with the lack of
a better explanation to what those object were”, according to Monteiro, the
interviewee said the speed of the UFOs was really astonishing and that the
fighters could get closer to them only for a few moments, because the
artifacts would escape away at extremely high speed. “There was no way for
us to get closer, so we abandoned the search, which last for many hours in
that night”.
There is a reference stating the UFOs achieved the speed of Mach 15, and
about i, Monteiro said it is possible, although the instruments measured
only near to 3.500 km/h, “because beyond that, there could be natural
reading distortions”.
About FAB recording the facts on videotape, he said
that, actually, the institution – especially Cindacta – always registered
what happened on the radar screens, and everything was registered in
appropriate recordings done from those instruments. But pointed out that
every 30 days the tapes are deleted and reused.
Visited by other cosmic species
The interviewee was cautious during the whole time. But, initially closed,
was giving up to the pressure of the interviewers and making clear that, as
other graduated officers of the country, also he had the clear notion that
we are being visited by other cosmic species.
Although at the beginning
referred to the UFOs as “electronic abnormalities”, gradually started
talking about “they”, to refer to its crew members, and “ships” in order
to effectively describe what their vehicles were, mentioning also its
“technology”. Also referred openly to the intelligence behind the
phenomenon, giving clear notion that we are before superior civilizations.
This was the most striking statement given during the interview, at the end
of the session, when he again mentioned the case in which his men were
shooting at the flying saucer in Gama, and he had to immediately intervene
because “the reaction could be tragic to us”.
For that, he used as analogy
the Mantell Case, occurred in USA in 1948, in which a pilot was found death
and his plane was destroyed after a pursuit to an UFO. “For that, the
fighters, when chasing those “electronic abnormalities”, did it with
caution”.
By the end of the conversation, when feeling more comfortable
with the interviewers, he was referring to the abnormalities almost laughing
of his own interpretation of the phenomenon and admitting the use of the
expression “only because of the lack of an UFO on hands to say what they
exactly are”.
Support to the freedom of information campaign
Finally, the lieutenant-brigadier Sócrates da Costa Monteiro is one
additional person from the Brazilian military circle who, recognizing the
serious mission of the ufologists of Brazilian UFO Magazine on the pursue of
these questions, supports the campaign UFOs: Freedom of Information Now,
conducted by the Brazilian Committee of UFO Researchers (CBU).
He, like
his colleagues previously interviewed, among them the brigadier José Carlos
Pereira and the colonels Uyrangê Hollanda and Antonio Celente Videira,
admitted the seriousness of the ufological manifestation and the need of
treating it in a straight way.
He declared: “The files must be opened and
you must keep your action with the government, in order to ensure it
happens”.

Magazine, www.ufo.com.br.

At least the new "V" miniseries about the world's first encounter with an alien race in which the aliens call themselves The Visitors, will arrive next Tuesday night (11-03-09) on ABC at 8/7 c.
The Visitors have a seemingly friendly agenda that may or may not be a cover for something more malevolent. "V" stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols, Joel Gretsch as Father Jack Landry, Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie Stevens, Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans, Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, with Morena Baccarin as Anna and Scott Wolf as Chad Decker.
The series is produced by HD Films in association with Warner Bros. Television.
An image of Anna, the leader of the V's, is projected worldwide as she talks about people joining together; the V's are Tyler's ticket to being a part of something big; egotistical newscaster Chad gets an exclusive interview with Anna.
This is the reimaging of the 1980's miniseries where aliens take over the world and run it as they want.
Shermer Asks Audience to Consider Paranormal Alternatives
Published:
Guest speaker asks audience to consider paranormal alternatives
By Martin Berman
Conspiracies, UFOs, mind reading and the supernatural — all topics oozing controversy and all victims of scrutiny from Michael Shermer’s skeptical thinking.
Shermer, the founding publisher of Skeptic magazine, was brought to MSU on Friday by Michigan’s Center For Inquiry to give his lecture titled Why People Believe Weird Things.
The lecture dealt with issues such as neuroscience, human biology and evolution, but Shermer used techniques such as optical illusions and puzzles to cleverly tease the audience and demonstrate that it’s the human propensity to pattern seek that has led us to become superstitious, then in turn this leads us to believe in conspiracies, the supernatural and other “weird things.”
“You’re not doing science anymore if your looking for supernatural or paranormal explanations. In fact, I’d say there’s no such thing as the supernatural or the paranormal,” Shermer said. “Those are just words, linguistic placeholders for things we can’t explain yet. They don’t exist at all.”
In the lecture, Shermer went through many issues he said need a lot of debunking.
He touched upon the conspiracy theories surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, those in denial of global warming and mind readers.
Also hoping to debunk UFO claims, Shermer spoke about reasons people believe they’ve seen UFOs, a point of view Shermer has expressed on Larry King Live while debating people who claimed to have been abducted by aliens.
Shermer argues all these experiences can be explained by neurological effects in the brain through scientific investigation.
As for the eye witnesses to UFOs, Shermer’s stresses they are just that — unidentified flying objects, and that just because something is unidentifiable, doesn’t mean it’s made from aliens.
“Before we say something is out of this world, we should first make sure that it’s not in this world,” he said.
Madison Heights resident Matthew Gezewich said Shermer’s lecture was funny, as well as intellectually stimulating. Gezewich said it left him embracing skepticism as a tool to find the truth.
“I think that we would do much better to think about things rather than submit to unproven authorities,” Gezewich said.
MSU’s Center For Inquiry board member Christian Orlic helped organize Shermer’s appearance and was happy to bring someone who has influenced his own thinking to MSU.
“I’m a big fan of his writings,” Orlic said. “It’s always exciting to meet people who you admire.”
Orlic has been with the Center For Inquiry for three years and has enjoyed being involved with the interesting, inspiring and problematic topics the group discusses.
Jefferson Seaver, director of Center For Inquiry in Michigan, said the group’s mission statement is a broad one that covers enough ideas to get many people involved.
“Our mission statement is to foster a secular society, specifically through science, reason, freedom of inquiry and humanist values,” Seaver said.
Shermer said it’s a mission that’s worth promoting.
“The reason it’s important is because it’s so easy to fall back into paranormal, pseudoscience, superstitious magical thinking,” he said.
“It’s sort of the default position everybody goes to and we need to override that with a new program. So basically we’re reprogramming people not what to think, but how to think.”
I had just moved to a new home located on Longdale Furnace Rd., just down the street from the Triangle Country Store, and across from the Retirement Home, I was 9 years old at the time.
I was sleeping on a love seat in the living room, as we had not moved our bedroom furnishings into the house at this time, my mother was asleep on the couch across from me, and my sister in a chair that was in front of the living room window, which was facing towards the interstate off ramp which is beside the Triangle Country Store, several hundred feet from our house which was nearby on a hill. The sighting occurred through this window.
I awoke sometime late that night, or in the early AM hours of the morning. I do not know the exact time. My attention was directly drawn to the large window behind the chair my sister was sleeping in, as I was sleeping in a love seat facing this window.
Immediately I observe what I know to be a UFO from pictures I had seen in books, or perhaps from a movie such as ET. I was stunned, very much in awe of this thing. It was huge, it is hard for me to say how far it was away, but it appeared to be some distance.
The craft contained 5 or 6 visible lights which were circular in shape, they appeared to me to be the size of large vehicles or perhaps 15 yards in diameter. It also had some lights near the top of it that didn't go out, they appeared to be rectangular, or like grates or something.
The length of this thing seemed to be very long, like 100 feet, or close to that. However, with the fact that there are trees in the yard and none were visible, only this craft, it may have been very much closer and it may have been a smaller craft, though it still seemed so large to me.
It was black, or very dark gray and black, you could make out the shape and such from the flashing of the very bright lights.
The spectrum of the lights was nothing like a regular bulb, and it did not project the light but it seemed to stay close with the craft only illuminating enough of the object to make out a basic outline.
These lights flashed in strange patterns they would flash in a succession with one illuminating for a moment, then it would fade out and then the next would light up, and so on down the line, it also did other patterns of alternate blinkings. I sat there in great fear watching this craft.
I got up off the couch and tried to wake my mom up, "Mom, there's a ship outside!, "GET UP."
I tried and tried to get her to awaken telling her repeatedly, but she could not be roused from her sleep. She told me to go to sleep, and that I was going to scare my sister, from her mostly sleeping state. I really wanted my mom to see this, or someone. But, I didn't want to wake my sister up and scare her.
So I went and lay back down on the couch and watched this craft for a long time. At some point during watching it, I drifted off to sleep, though I do not know how I could do such a thing, it was almost as though the lights hypnotized me or put me in a trance.
I specifically remember taking mental pictures with my mind, that I would never forget this thing or what it looked like. To this day it is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
I very much wished that our family would have had our video camera available, as a tape of this thing would blow any known footage of a UFO out the water.
This thing was so strange and not normal. It could have been military, but I believe it was Celestial, it was my first encounter with such a thing, though I have made other sightings since, far less up close, ones in the air.
I immediately knew this thing to be a UFO though, I did not observe it flying, I would like to go back to the area, and look at the trees nearby to try and see what distance it might have been away.
It seems that it was farther away and very, very large, but there were some trees in our yard, it may be it was very much closer and that it was actually on the hillside, in the side yard of the house.
The one thing that stands out to me most of all were those very large circular lights, and the trance like patterns that they flashed, it was calming and unnerving at the same time.
I did not feel like I was in terror, but I did feel apprehensive, were these aliens I wondered?
I knew little on the subject, but had heard some adults talk about such things in the past. This thing truly amazed me, and had an affect on the rest of my life. It would not be the last time I saw objects.
Most recently in the past 2 years, I have had several alien contact experiences that occurred in lucid dreams. When these started to occur, memories immediately shifted to this first major event that happened when I was very young, might it be that I have been taken on such craft before?
I would not doubt it. It seems that I have established a rapport with unknown entities. At this point I'm trying to figure out what's going on with me, and what everything means. There's so much I'd like to share, but this, of course, is not the place.
I lost sight of the object due to falling asleep, I don't remember having any dreams that night, just falling asleep at some point and then waking up the next day fully remembering the event.
My mother has since passed away, and my sister never saw the object. So I am the lone witness of the event. I did tell most all the adults, my mom, her friends, and my sister about my experience.
Very amazing experience, have been highly interested in UFOs ever since. This was not a hallucination, it was not a made up story, this is 100% accurate.
I moved from that house about a year later, I no longer live in Allegheny County Virginia, I now live in central Virginia.

The Mystery of the Silpho Flying Saucer
Published: 4:47 PM 10/28/2009
A UFO near Scarborough?
The story starts one evening in either late November or early December 1957 as Fred Taylor, a tailor from Hanover Road in Scarborough, his friend Frank Dickenson and either Charles Thomas or Frank Hutton (one of these names, for reasons which will be explained later, being fictitious) left the mill in Harewood Dale to return to their homes in Scarborough.
As they drove up Reasty Bank they were somewhat startled to see a strange red glow apparently descending to earth just out of sight over the top of the adjacent moor. This so distracted the driver that he promptly stalled the car!
The exact chain of events from this point now fades into the mists of obscurity being clouded by conflicting claims of bias, counterclaims of dishonesty, threats of libel and accusations of huge sums of money changing hands.
These variations would appear to have originated as a result of the intense media interest that the affair generated. Those involved in the initial discovery were so besieged by requests for newspaper interviews that they had to restrict themselves to just a few selected journalists-a fact which clearly annoyed those that they excluded.
Rumours ran rife that these interviews were only granted to journalists who offered substantial payments for the privilege. The favoured papers responded by printing what they believed to be factual reports which gave the participants either anonymity or pseudonyms.
The other papers however, sought their revenge by lampooning the whole affair, deriding these 'factual' stories as nothing more than the inaccurate and fictitious dictation of financially motivated parties and concluded by fully identifying each individual, hence the knowledge that one of the earlier names was fictitious.
The following account is culled from a variety of contemporary sources and, like all such tales, is probably as accurate as any other version.
The search for the saucer
As the driver struggled to restart the car Mr. Taylor climbed out and scrambled up the hillside where he discovered a strange object recumbent in the heather. This, he said, looked like everyone's conception of a typical flying saucer. As he claimed that the object weight some three or four stones, he was unable to take it back with him.
He therefore returned to the car to seek the assistance of his two friends. After driving to the top of Reasty they parked and picked up a little used moorland path towards the alleged landing site.
As they walked they were somewhat surprised to see a man and a woman approaching, eventually passing them without comment, although some versions later claim that a conversation about the object took place. Despite their impromptu searches they were unable to locate any spurious object in the heather.
Not being equipped for a winters night on the moors the three men decided to return home to collect their wellies and torches. Having done this they returned to Silpho for what eventually proved to be a fruitless search.
Puzzled over the whole incident, they decided to seek the advice of Anthony Parker, a local solicitor whom they believed had a particular penchant for the paranormal. They also believed he had written a book about UFO's under his pen name of Antony Avenel. Although this turned out to be incorrect (Mr. Parker claimed that his book was on metaphysics) he suggested that they placed an advert in the Scarborough Evening News offering the finder a reward.
The advert of course brought the whole affair into the public domain, and the following days and nights saw Silpho Moor alive with search parties combing the heather. It is claimed that some of these groups were armed with shotguns, others carried huge wads of rolled up money whilst others yet roamed around in heavy military type disguises. Locals claim that all throughout the following night the moor was illuminated by the continuos shining of hundreds of flashlights.
Eventually an offer to sell the object was recieved, and after an amount of long distance bargaining a price was agreed. The purchasers claimed that this was a nominal ten pound, although some contemporary reports place this figure as high as two hundred pounds.
A meeting was fixed, but the vendors, unprepared for such a large reception committee, chickened out at the last minute. Not however, before, in true James Bond style, scribbling a message on the back of a cigarette packet and throwing it out of their car window at the assembled throng. This suggested a further meeting on an isolated moorland road with the proviso that only two purchasers attended.
The exchange successfully took place, the object being passed over in a lentil sack once one of the buyers confirmed that it was indeed the object that he had seen that night on the moor. He also remarked that the seller was apparently the same man that he had passed as the three were making their way up to the landing site.
What is it?
As the cash was provided by Mr. Parker/Avenel the object was immediately taken to him at his Scalby Cottage. It was about 45 cm (18 inches) in diameter and shaped like a flattened spinning top. The upper dome was white whilst the base was copper with some unusual hieroglyphics etched into it. These looked like some form of shorthand appended by what appeared to be a numerical key.
A small electric drill was used to cut through the thick axis which held the two hemispheres firmly together. Inside was what looked like a roll of copper with a coil of hollow tubing wrapped tightly around it. Ashes and a white powder covered the inside. When the roll was carefully removed from the coils it was found to open out in a small book.
This had a total of seventeen pages, each made of copper foil and covered with inscriptions similar to those seen on the outer casing. The scroll measured approximately 15 cm x 12 cm (6 by 5 inches) and had a thick piece of copper as a back cover. This appeared to have some time have been subjected to intense heat.
The copper backing was slightly larger then the individual pages. Each piece of copper foil was stamped with about fourteen lines of writing, made up of almost entirely of T's and V's at different angles.
A less-than-serious feature about the incident appeared in the Scarborough Evening News on the 9th December 1957. This was followed the next day by an irate and lengthy letter from the obviously annoyed Mr. Parker/Avenel heavily criticising the whole tone of the article. He disputed much of the content to the point of claiming that many parts of it to be libelous and demanded both a retraction and an apology.
The editor responded by highlighting several discrepancies in the version which the solicitor claimed to be an accurate representation of the events, especially his surreptitious use of fictitious names.
What was it? Mr. Parker stated that he had examined it for possible military markings but could find no evidence to suggest that it belonged to any of the armed forces. Professor Bernard Lovell of Jodrell Bank suggested that it may have fallen from a passing aircraft.
However, the most likely suggestion came after the subsequent deciphering of the hieroglyphics by an interested space enthusiast, who claimed that part of the message suggested that the disc had originated on mercury and was launched from a scout ship en-route to Yeovil (possibly Silpho is the little green men's equivalent of a motorway service station!).
A photograph of the object appeared in the Yorkshire Post on 9th December 1957 - but don't try looking. Mysteriously pages 2 and 3 of every library copy have been removed!
And where is the object now? We just don't know...
An update!
There has been an interesting sequel to this saga. I have received an e-mail from a totally reliable source who told me that he knew of the whole incident.
The saucer was in fact one of a batch of secret surveillance objects code named PF228. Three of those launched went astray, two falling into the Atlantic, the other being lost somewhere over northern Britain.
He recognised my description of the object as he was working at the base at the time of their launch. They were (he claimed) deliberately disguised as UFOs for the very reason that we discovered. If one were to be found, no-one would believe anyone about it.
It was secretly purchased back from the finders for an undisclosed amount of 'hush-money'.
10-23-09 - I was standing on my back patio when I saw a string of lights against the starlit clear night sky. I heard, or rather felt a low vibration and dull humming sound. As I looked closer, I saw a boomerang shape aircraft moving slowly about 1000 to 1500 ft in the air.
It was moving too low and slow for its size (about 200 yards from end to end). It had no landing lights, but it did have interior lights that shone through rectangular windows which ran from one end of the boomerang to the other. There was no fuselage or tail section.
The event happened quickly as the aircraft passed out of my line of sight. My apartment building was in the way. I ran to the parking area and looked up to where I thought the aircraft should be, and it was simply gone.
I live across the street from and old Martin-Marietta Aeronautics campus in Littleton, and the aircraft was actually traveling in the direction of the existing Lockeed Martin plant. My speculation is that it was a version of the B-2 Stealth aircraft.
It was certainly stealthy, and had a black, almost fluid quality to the texture of the exterior. It almost blended in with the night sky. I was not freighted by the sighting, but at the time it was quite surprising. I'm sure my blood pressure went up a few notches. Source: www.mufon.com
Massachusetts - Yellow Triangle Seen
10-26-09 - City of Sutton - 9:40 PM,. EST - Last night saw a really yellow star and thought it was just a plane near TF Green Airport in Rhode Island or just thought it was a star. But it was out of place to me, having never seen one there before.
We went and fed the horses and barn cats, and when I came out the star seemed brighter, so I watched it for a second, now thinking it was a low flying aircraft.
As it got closer, it took shape, it was a bright, yellow triangle, and it was moving extremely fast and as it passed over it was really big - 50 to 70 yards front to back and 70 to 100 yards wide.
I wanted to run grab my camera, but I feared it would be gone by the time I got in and out of the house. Source: www.mufon.com
Oregon - Multi-Colored Lights
10-25-09 - It was 2:30 AM Saturday night (Sunday Morning) and my boyfriend took the dogs out in back yard one last time before we went to bed and then called me outside to look at a "UFO." I was like, "Yeah, right, whatever," but when outside and he pointed up and this bright light was in the sky.
I looked and told him it was an airplane, (it initially looked liked the headlight of a oncoming jet) but I kept watching and it was not moving, it was hovering, and it was shimmering or sparkling like a star, but was different from anything I had ever seen
I stood there for a minute or two, and decided to go get the binoculars and told my boyfriend to stay there and watch it. I ran in and got the binoculars and when we looked it was the weirdest thing either of us had ever seen, it was a multi-colors, bouncing, or hovering around in the sky, very hard to describe because I have never seen anything like it.
We were both shocked, and just could not believe what we were seeing! We stayed out there watching, and it seemed like it was getting further away and then it was gone instantly. I was excited, nervous, and scared all at once. I got on the Internet tried to search other sightings similar to ours.
I have been obsessed ever since the sighting trying to get an answer as to what it was. We decided to go back out there one last time
before getting into bed and it was back, but in a different location, looked through binoculars and saw the same thing. Very strange. Source: www.mufon.com
UFOs over Fenland Again
10-27-09 - UFOs have been spotted over Fenland again, with several people seeing strange lights in the sky.
Andy Dowe, who lives in Tilney St Lawrence, watched four lights over the Wisbech area for more than an hour on Friday night.
He said his mother, who also lives in the village, saw them as well, as did some friends from Walpole St Andrew. Andy, who works in Wisbech, said his son first spotted the lights at 8.15 PM.
"The lights hovered and moved in the sky," Andy recalled, "often looking as though they would collide with each other. They would
stop and either go what appeared to be up or down. Then they would return and chase each other around.
"They were white lights, and sometimes appeared cigar-shaped, but other times resembled the shape of an upturned saucer. Sometimes the lights would appear as just two moving slowly, then zipping across the sky and being joined by more."
Andy added that later that night, the lights appeared over towards the March area before disappearing. Source:
