The Fayetteville, North Carolina Encounter, January 8, 2007
    Depiction, Fayetteville, NC Encounter
    An Introduction

There have been many UFO cases addressed on various television documentaries throughout the years. Many of these are forgettable, many are biased, and then there are a few that present the facts as they are.

One of the latter was presented by the MUFON organization in October, 2008. The special was carried by the Discovery Channel. Titled "UFOs over Earth," the hour long show addressed an extremely compelling case of UFO sightings, an alien encounter, and possible alien abduction.

On January 8, 2007, this baffling case began in Fayetteville, North Carolina, while four men were fishing on the banks of the Cape Fear River.

    Introduction

The main witness in this case is one Chris Bledsoe Sr. Bledsoe, a successful builder and commercial pilot, was well liked and respected in his community. On the day of the strange events, he was fishing with three other men, Donny Ackerman, Gene Robinson, and David McDonald. The relationship between Bledsoe and the other three men was not addressed fully. However, the obvious class difference between Bledsoe and the other three implies that the three were probably employed by Bledsoe from time to time, although we are not told.

Bledsoe took a walk away from the fishing spot, and spotted three UFOs. He returned to the fishing spot, and pointed out the objects to the other three men. They were frightened by the UFOs, and quickly left the river, seeing the objects again. After Bledsoe arrived home, and went out into his backyard to find out why his dogs were barking. He followed them into the woods, and saw an alien being. His son, Chris Bledsoe Jr., also saw two orbs in the woods, soon followed by small alien beings.

After the basic details of Bledsoe's encounter were taken by MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) investigators, the UFO group was anxious to gather testimony from Bledsoe's fishing buddies, but they had trouble locating the three, which is a signal to me that they were probably construction workers who moved where their work took them, although this is my own opinion.

This, by no means, lessens the validity of their eyewitness accounts. Rating the authenticity of a UFO sighting as to the social status of a witness was employed by Project Blue Book in the 1960s, and was eventually found to be faulty. There is no evidence at this time to suggest that they made up their stories, or conspired to create a hoax. If they did, they did a remarkable job. All of the accounts given by the three regarding the sighting of the three unknown flying objects were almost identical.

    Case Overview

The basic overview of the case is as follows:

As the four men were fishing, Bledsoe decided to walk down the road a small distance from the river bank. While he stood looking into the sky, he was surprised to see in the distance, two orange lights. As he wondered at the two lights, soon a third zoomed into place on the left of the other two, in the "blink of an eye."

Bledsoe would later remark that the objects had rapidly flown to their original position, and then stopped dead, as if they had met a cushion of air. Excited and apprehensive about what he had seen, he hurried back to the river bank to tell his three fishing partners. He thought, at the time, that he had been gone about 20 minutes. This assumption would later be found to be faulty.

When Bledsoe pointed out the three orange lights to the other three, they turned their attention to the sky. As they watched the lights, they felt that they were "being invaded." They saw all three objects slowly descended to the ground, appearing to land approximately 100-150 yards on the opposite side of the river. At least two of the men had seen flares before, and stated that there was no way that the objects were flares. They watched the lights hover in virtually one place for up to ten minutes.

They were mesmerized and frightened by what they saw. The scared men dropped their fishing gear, ran to their trucks, and sped away, all to their own places. Several of the fishermen saw the lights again as they left the river.

They also witnessed a "large, glowing object" over a bank of trees. This object was duplicated with computer graphics by McHush, a visual arts expert. It appeared to be oblong, with spikes coming from it.

A significant difference in the initial testimony given by the four men was the amount of time that it took Bledsoe to walk down the road apiece, and return to the fishing spot on the banks of Cape Fear. Bledsoe left when it was still light, but when he returned, it was totally dark. After Bledsoe had been gone long enough that the other three became worried about him, two of them jumped in their pickup truck, and drove down the road where Bledsoe had walked, but found no sign of him. When he finally reappeared, they estimated that he had been gone 3 or 4 hours.

Still unsettled by what he had seen, Bledsoe arrived home. After a time, he heard his dogs barking in the backyard, obviously upset by something.

"My dogs went nuts!" Bledsoe remarked.

Depiction, Fayetteville, NC Encounter The Entity in the Woods

One of his dogs, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, sped into the forest, with the others following. Bledsoe was right on their trail. After tramping through the woods in search of his dogs for a time, he came upon a sight that was beyond belief. Right before him stood a creature!

Bledsoe was frozen in his tracks. The being appeared to be the size of a child, and was only 3-4 ft from him.

Bledsoe stated that, had he leaned over, he could have touched it with his hand. The being was only about 3 feet tall, as indicated from his description, and its appearance was "like it had been dipped in glass." The being had red eyes.

As he stared at the being, Bledsoe felt a sense of "Here I am, if you want me." He told MUFON investigators that the being was like "a child... a little person." In a moment, the other dogs arrived upon the scene, and the being was nowhere to be seen. Bledsoe said that his Chesapeake's hair stood up from the back of his neck to the rear end.

    Bledsoe's Son

The MUFON investigators, International Director James Carrion, along with Rich Lang, Steve McGee, Norman Gagnon, and Tim McHush, were very impressed with Bledsoe's account of what he had seen that night. They felt that he was being honest with them, even though his story seemed bizarre. Wanting to corroborate his story, they turned next to his son, Chris Bledsoe Jr.

Jr. had not been fishing on the night of January 8, 2007, with the other men, but was at home, and out and about after his father had followed the dogs into the woods.

Jr. stated that while he was in the backyard of the Bledsoe house, he saw "two red orbs" floating through the woods. He claimed that soon he saw a number of the small beings emerge from the woods near the house.

There was a concern by investigators as to how much of what Jr. said was true, and if his devotion to his father had caused him to create his story to validate Sr.'s story. MUFON would now find Ackerman, Robinson, and McDonald, and take their testimony.

    The Three Fishermen

Depiction, Fayetteville, NC EncounterThe Three Fishermen

The three fishermen related their stories to investigators, indicating that Bledsoe Sr. had indeed left them, walking down the road for a short distance, had been gone 3 or 4 hours, and returned, excitedly pointing out the three orange objects in the sky. They indicated that two of them had driven down the same road Sr. had walked down, saw him nowhere, and returned to their fishing spot.

They each described their sighting of the lights in a very similar fashion, and ruled out the possibility that the objects could have been any kind of conventional object, including flares. They also described their sighting of the strange, oblong shaped object. They all indicated that at the time of the sighting, there was a total silence in the area.

The MUFON team was very impressed with Bledsoe Sr. and the fishing companions' testimony, and felt that the next step in their pursuit of the truth should be to have Bledsoe Sr. undergo regressive hypnosis, which often times can unlock hidden memories. The session took place on July 14, 2008. The regression was led by Dr. Michael O'Connell, a Harvard graduate, and veteran of some 250 regressions. MUFON taped the session.

    Bledsoe's Psychological Condition

It is important to note that during his visits with MUFON, Bledsoe Sr. had, on a number of occasions, admitted that he had trouble believing what he had seen himself. Facts that he could not recall had caused him confusion, and extremely bad headaches. He attempted to remember more of his encounter, but was unable to accomplish this by himself. This may have had an effect on a subsequent polygraph examination. He wanted to unlock these lost memories, and was a willing participant of any and all techniques that might be beneficial to this end.

At one point during the program, Bledsoe's wife of many years, and mother of their four children, Yvonne, discussed what the ordeal had done to their family life. Family members had rejected Bledsoe's story initially, thinking it too fantastic to be true. For this very reason, Bledsoe did not reveal details of his encounter to others for quite some time, fearing ridicule. But, in time, he felt that unless he recovered the missing elements of the event, he would lose his mind.

A great strain had been put on the Bledsoe marriage, but his wife was sure that they would come through it as a family, and the years they had been together would not be lost.

Depiction, Fayetteville, NC EncounterThe Regressive Hypnosis

During the regression, Bledsoe uncovered a number of pertinent and important facts. He described being taken against his will by four, tall, skinny aliens, at least 7 feet tall. He remembered being in a dark, round room, in which he could see various lights and controls.

When asked why he was chosen by the aliens, he stated that they were his "guardian angels," and came to him when he was sad. The small alien beings seen by Bledsoe and his son were children of the taller beings. Bledsoe added that the children were playing in the woods.

He also revealed that the aliens had been in his house. During his ordeal, he kept telling his captors he wanted only to go home. MUFON investigators were very pleased with the results of the regression, and felt that they were involved in a case for the ages. Before accepting the case as 100% authentic, however, they wanted to make sure that Bledsoe did not have any psychological problems. To this end, they employed the services of Debbie Gioia, a Psychiatric Social Worker.

After interviewing Bledsoe and administering a number of psychological tests, Gioia was convinced that Bledsoe was sound of mind, and had no psychological problems that would have caused him to make up his story, or perpetuate a hoax. The MUFON team was relieved, although they were already convinced that Bledsoe was telling them the truth. Gioia's findings only confirmed their beliefs.

    The Polygraph Examination

Could this case become a classic alien encounter and abduction? All of the evidence to this point indicated yes. However, there was one more hurdle for Bledsoe Sr. to jump over: the polygraph examination. This should be a no brainer, but to complete the puzzle, Bledsoe was given a polygraph by retired FBI analyst, Bob DrDak.

The questions that were asked were simple ones, all relating to parts of the case already covered. The MUFON team was very confident that Bledsoe would come through the test with flying colors. This was not to be.

According to DrDak, Bledsoe showed deception on some of his answers. In doing research on polygraphs and their operators, I came across some very interesting details that might shed some light on the use, and credibility of the tests.

Because it is considered a controversial procedure, polygraph test results cannot be used in court cases, unless both parties agree to its admission. There are many different views concerning polygraph results, both pro and con. There have even been cases where a failed lie-detector test led to the conviction and imprisonment of a murder suspect, only to have the suspect subsequently found to be innocent, and released. It is mainly the use of the polygraph to convict innocent individuals that cause many people to put little, if any, trust in the polygraph examination.

The MUFON team was certainly concerned with the results of Bledsoe's results. They decided to go to him, and tell him point blank that the tests implied that he was being deceptive on some of his answers. Bledsoe took the assertions calmly, and stated that irregardless of what the machine said, he had told the investigators the truth. Bledsoe's earlier concerns about believing his own eyes could have caused him undo nervousness during the test, and account for his failures.

I discussed this very problem with a well read UFO Casebook reader, and I would like to include his thoughts on the failed polygraph:

I found the hypnosis vs. polygraph results puzzling too. But I am struck by how often I have read about "family" sightings where there is a reluctance to acknowledge what happened that seems to go beyond embarrassment or fear of ridicule, into an induced "wall" of anxiety and pain preventing the subject from being discussed.

I recall reading about children who grow up and suddenly remember an event that involved the whole family, and while their parents tacitly confirm it, they refuse adamantly to discuss it, almost as if they feel severe emotional distress when they attempt to.

Surely this suggests that sometimes human witnesses (or better - victims?) are psychologically manipulated by UFOs to inhibit them from recounting the incident, at least in a credible, coherent fashion. And couldn't that inhibition conceivably manifest itself as untruthfulness to a polygraph operator who is looking to make a simple truth/lie call?

I recall the Fayetteville witness saying on several occasions that he sometimes doubted the truth of what he was saying himself. He seemed deeply conflicted. It would be easy to assume this was because he had fabricated the whole thing, but then how to explain the other three witnesses?

    Ray Van Dune

    Lingering Questions

In 1975, one of the most celebrated UFO abductions cases took place. It became the subject of the move, "Fire in the Sky," with actor D. B. Sweeny portraying the role of Travis Walton. Walton's story tells us that when he was subjected to his first polygraph, he failed. Yet, since that time, Walton has passed many other polygraphs. It was assumed that Walton's test was given too soon, when he was still unsure of what had happened, and was still coming to terms with his abduction. This could also be the case for Bledsoe.

If the Bledsoe encounter is deemed a hoax, several important questions must be answered. Why did Bledsoe make up his story? Did he want to gain notoriety? Being a humble, low key individual, the answer would be no. Did he think he could make money from his story? Possibly, but it appeared that he was well set financially. And if we assume that his testimony was false, what about the testimony of his son?

It could be possible that Bledsoe Jr. made up his story so that his father would not be seem to be a prankster, but if this is true, what about Bledsoe's three fishing buddies, Ackerman, Robinson, and McDonald? Could they have been part of a conspiracy? Possibly, but why? They made no money from their testimony, unless Bledsoe paid them, and if so, why? The fact that the MUFON team had trouble finding them would seem to make a conspiracy highly doubtful. If they were involved in a hoax, they would have been readily available to give testimony.

If all of the five men involved made up this fantastic story, what about the regressive hypnosis? Although the process is considered less than accurate by some researchers, is it possible that a person could fake his way through it? Could Dr. O'Connell, a veteran of some 250 such regressions be fooled that easily? The MUFON team certainly trusted O'Connell, but they also believed Bledsoe.

If the story is a lie, how did Bledsoe get through the psychological testing? Can one fake their way through the tests also? Very unlikely. The team of investigators that earnestly looked at the case wanted so much to believe in Bledsoe, and from all indications, it seems they did. There is no way to know for certain if the case is authentic, and we are left with questions, mainly about the polygraph results. It would seem to me that a second polygraph should be given to Bledsoe after a period of emotional and psychological healing.

Considering all of the facts of the case, it seems very likely that after Bledsoe comes to terms with what happened to him, he would pass a second, or even third polygraph, like Travis Walton did. If we could reach that point, we would know for certain that something "not of this world" happened on January 7, 2008 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

    President Obama and UFOs
    Barack Obama
    November 6, 2008

    Diary Entry by Bill Knell

President Elect Obama appears to have very little interest in UFOs or outer space, but that may change quickly after he is sworn in.

President Elect Obama appears to have very little interest in UFOs or outer space. During a news flap over statements made by Shirley MacLaine last year about a UFO sighting that former Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich had, a number of other Democratic Candidates were asked how they felt about UFOs. Barack Obama told the late Tim Russert of NBC News that he was more concerned about improving the quality of people’s lives here on Earth, than space aliens.

Obviously preferring to focus his attention on solving the terrestrial economic problems of U.S. Citizens, Barack Obama has also sent strong signals to NASA that he has little interest in spending billions of tax dollars on space exploration. He stood with Florida Senator and former Astronaut Bill Nelson at the Kennedy Space Center this past summer to declare that although he would support continued “basic research and development” at NASA over the long term, he would need to find ways to pay for it that would not take money away from programs that help people here on Earth in the short term.

Obama and many other democrats believe that promises made by President Bush regarding future NASA programs involving the Moon and Mars have always been strong on rhetoric and short on funding. Unlike the funded mandate outlined in his famous “We shall go to the Moon…” speech that the late President John F. Kennedy delivered to NASA’s doorstep, the most that Bush and the various incarnations of the U.S. Congress that have existed during his Administration have done is sent the space agency a few dollars to develop vehicles needed to get to those places.

Apart from the fact that big money for space programs has been a hard sell even during the best of economic times in recent years, it’s doubtful that President Elect Obama will be motivated to do much more than just keep the lights on at NASA and allow current plans for the International Space Station to go forward as long as they don’t require too much funding. The real question is what will happen after he is sworn in as the forty-forth President of the United States.

I don’t imagine that there were too many Champaign corks popping at the Pentagon after Obama won the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election. President Elect Obama is known to prefer diplomacy to military solutions. Whether he will go as far as former President Jimmy Carter did by trying to dismantle the CIA and cut military spending by billions when he got into office remains to be seen. What does seem to be certain is that not all U.S. Presidents receive the real E.T. briefing. Carter tried to get it from former CIA Director George H. Bush before he replaced Bush with a new director, but was turned down.

Times have changed and it’s entirely possible that Obama will receive a briefing about UFOs and Aliens whether anyone in the military or intelligence gathering community wants him to have it or not. Given the number of UFOs seen worldwide over the past few years and the obvious military responses in the form of jet and helicopter chases, Obama may have to simply join a show already in progress. If that happens, look for the tell-tale changes in Obama’s attitude towards UFOs, Aliens or Space Programs. A sudden and unexpected dependency on the military, a lack of interest in cutting their budget and overall adjustment of his political views may be one sign, but probably not the biggest.

I would expect a world-minded politician like Barack Obama to support UFO disclosure given the diplomatic and international relations possibilities such a move would offer our nation. Especially if he was convinced that extraterrestrials were really visiting our planet and impacting worldwide economies and technologies. Knowing that he could not affect change overnight, Obama might consider supporting disclosure with the hope that he could force the ultimate unveiling of alternative energy sources and new energy efficient technologies that have may have been developed as a result of captured or bartered UFO technology.

Several staff members working for movers and shakers in the Democratic Party have already claimed that some sort of ‘summit’ took place shortly after the Dennis Kucinich UFO affair last year to discuss how the Party faithful would react to UFO incidents in the future. However, most of these Party players probably do not have the clout needed to find out what’s really happening with ET’s and our government. Their responses would merely offer preplanned, politically correct lip service to the subject and Obama doesn’t seem to be interested in that.

As President, Barack Obama’s disinterest in UFOs may serve him better than Bill Clinton’s interest in the subject. Bill and Hilary went out of their way to dig up information about extraterrestrials and the government during their time in the White House. The result was lackluster at best. Military members sent them serve serving reports and briefing statements indicating that there was nothing to the Roswell UFO incident and political cronies were stonewalled at every turn as their tried to unravel the UFO mystery from inside the Oval Office.

I think it’s possible that some UFO insiders in the government may look at President Elect Obama as a sort of ‘clean slate’ type of politician given his statements about change. At best, they will trust him with the UFO secret and look for him to promote disclosure and provide positive leadership in that direction. At worst, they’ll tell him their own version of the E.T. story and use his ability to sway public opinion to maintain control over all things extraterrestrial.

Unknown Objects Photographed in Wordsley, England
    Wordsley, England-10-26-08
I am very excited to be sending you my latest photos of what I consider to be a UFO! The date was October 26, 2008. My friends and I were enjoying Sunday lunch at around 3 PM in the village of Cookley, near Kinver/West Midlands, England.

We were suddenly disturbed by 2 dark colored, sinister looking helicopters screaming through the sky very loudly at treetop level. I decided to grab my camera, a Samsung p1000, 10.2 M.Pixel digital.

We saw nothing except the helicopters at the time, but when I loaded the pics to my PC the next day I couldn't believe my eyes!

In this pic, we can clearly see a dark, saucer-shaped craft hovering near the helicopter!

There appears to be a glint of sunlight shining off of the 'saucer'. I have the impression that the object was teasing the helicopters.

I have since heard rumors that there have been a spate of crop circles in the farmers fields below where the 'unknown' was.

Wordsley, England-10-28-08 Wordsley, England-10-28-08-The date was Tuesday, 28th October, I was taking pictures of the clear blue sky.

I saw nothing unusual, but after scanning my pics on the PC I noticed a metallic looking 'thing' in the sky.

I zoomed in for a closer view and was amazed to see what appears to be a tiny craft maybe 10 or 20 feet in diameter. I'm only guessing because I don't know how far away it was, that's just my gut feeling.

It can be seen to the left of the screen above the telegraph pole. (in original image) If you need anymore info feel free to contact me.

    Kind Regards,

    Col. Foster

    Varginha-The Visitors
    Varginha
On the bus to Caraca I noticed a sign by the highway. We were passing through the town of Varginha, a name I recognised instantly, but which I hadn’t realised was enroute. I was excited because although Varginha is just a run-of-the-mill Brazilian provincial town in many respects, it is quite unusual in another. In 1996 the town was visited by aliens.

One of the (many) endearing quirks of the Brazilians is their love for the paranormal, the psychic and the new age. My local shopping centre in Copacabana had a supermarket, a bakery and two ” psychic energy” stores. And there is nothing they love more than UFOs.

Brazil has always been a statistical hotpot for alien sightings, with the highest number of people in the world who claim to have seen (and/or had sex with) interplanetary visitors. The Pedra do Gavea rock in Rio is said to be a favored landing spot ( as well as being inscribed with Phoenician carvings and containing a secret transcontinental passageway to Macchu Picchu).

The whole area around Brasilia is also busy with alien visitors, if you believe the stories. One wealthy local landowner has even built an “Aeroporto de UFO” on his property near the town of Alto Paradaiso de Goias, to guide them down to land.

And perhaps dubiously, the two incidents regarded as the best “proof” we have of UFOs both occurred in Brazil. The first happened in the small fishing village of Ubatuba near Sao Paulo in the 1950s. Locals spotted a strange flying machine crashing into the sea. What makes the case unusual though, is that for once they were actually able to retrieve some of the ship; a small piece of metal flotsam. When tested, it ws found to be no metal known on this planet.

Excited scientists sent the artifact to Washington Dc for further tests. There it was decided that it was an alloy of some kind; something that could possibly be made here on Earth, but that to the knowledge of the authorities, no-one had actually ever done so. HOe had a poor rural fisherman ended up with this super-rare alloy? Either an incredibly elaborate hoax, or a flying saucer had crashed into the sea near Ubatuba. Since then, scientists hoping to repeat the tests have been foiled; the metal has “disappeared”.

The second UFO incident was in Varginha. On January 20th, 1996, three teenage girls spotted a creature “1.6 metres, with a large head and very thin body, with V-shaped feet, brown skin, and large red eyes. It seemed to be wobbly or unsteady, and the girls assumed it was injured or sick” (according to wikipedia). They fled, telling their mother they had seen the devil.

But over the next few days more - dozens- of the townspeople reported sightings of the same strange creature. In one case a Brazilian military van was said to arrive and collect the almost unconscious being, before driving off, infront of a street of witnesseses. Others said they saw flying saucers in the sky.

One investigator wrote that there have been over half a dozen sightings of the creatures, though “it is unclear how all of these beings could have fit into the minivan-sized spacecraft that was spotted here in January.” There was disagreement as to whether one creature had been sighted multiple times, or if several creatures had been sighted individually.

The news made the small town of Varginha, in UFO-crazy Brazil, famous.

Two New UFO Reports in Central Texas
    UFO-Depiction
    Posted: Oct 29, 2008 12:45 PM CDT

    by Patrick Tolbert

Two different reports describing similar lights in the night sky have residents in two Central Texas Cities talking.

In both accounts, sky watchers describe three colored lights alternating between the mysterious flying objects. Each report also describes at least one airplane that flew through the area after the lights disappeared.

The first account comes from Brownwood, and was reported to have occurred at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday. The witness the event writes that they saw three orange lights flashing one at a time, low in the horizon. Shortly after the lights disappear, the witness then observed an airplane fly through the area.

The witness writes "I know for sure that the orange lights I saw were NOT airplanes."

The second account was reported to have occurred in the skies over Dublin approximately 15 minutes later. This witness and her husband were traveling West on Highway 377 when they observed "a series of strange lights," described as 3 objects with 3 sets of white lights. Again, after the lights disappeared the witness observed airplanes flying through the area.

1989 UFO Landing near London Hoax
    UFO-Depiction
    Published-Thursday, November 6, 2008

On March 31, 1989, thousands of motorists driving on the highway outside London looked up in the air to see a glowing, flying saucer descending on their city. Many of them pulled to the side of the road to watch the bizarre craft float through the air.

The saucer finally landed in a field on the outskirts of London, in a field in Surrey, where local residents immediately called the police to warn them of an alien invasion.

Soon the police arrived on the scene, and several brave officers approached the craft with his truncheon (billy club) extended before them. As the policemen came close to the craft, a door opened in the bottom of the ship and a small figure wearing a silver space suit walked out.

The policemen immediately took off in the opposite direction. The alien turned out to be a midget, and the flying saucer was a hot air balloon that had been specially built to look like a UFO by Richard Branson, the 36-year-old chairman of Virgin Records.

Branson had taken off in the balloon the day before, planning to land in London’s Hyde Park on April 1. However, a wind change had blown him down a day early in the Surrey field. The police reported that they received a flood of phone calls from scared motorists using roadside emergency phones as the balloon passed over the highway.

One lady reportedly called a radio station to describe the UFO that she was looking at, not realizing that she was standing in front of her window stark naked. One of the policemen who had to approach the craft later admitted that, "I have never been so scared in 20 years of being a policeman."

    Florida-Boomerang-Shaped Object
11-01-08-I was sitting in my backyard at about 4:00 PM, watching my daughters play together. One of my 4-year-old twin girls was lying flat on the grass looking straight up at the sky when she suddenly blurted out, "Daddy, what is that?"

I looked up and didn't’t see anything so I answered, “A cloud”. She then said, "No Daddy, look!"

I again looked up, more carefully this time, and saw a neon green boomerang-shaped object flying east to west directly overhead. Its shape was identical to that of a boomerang, not a B2 bomber, or a stealth fighter. Its color was almost luminescent, mint green. The object continued on its path and remained visible for about 30 seconds.

Then it just disappeared. I kept looking up trying to spot it again, when I became aware of a second object which appeared much smaller and higher in the sky then the first. This second object followed the same flight pattern as the first, but from a much higher altitude. The second object almost looked like a star because it was small and white and extremely bright. Then this second object disappeared just as quickly as the first. source: www.mufon.com

    Illinois-8-10 UFOs
11-06-08-I believe I observed several UFOs in the eastern sky from my house in Illinois, which is near Route 36. They may have been hovering over Indiana, as we live an hour from the border. They were very dark, like black, against a red and cloudy sky, and seemed to be against a thick light gray stratus cloud cover above the horizon.

There were approximately eight to ten and had different shapes. I could make out one boomerang shape that was vertical, not horizontal. They moved every now and then, and would move into the cloud cover, then disappear, then reappear.

There seemed to be a very large one, then several smaller UFOs, but they were all on the same horizontal plane. I observed them for about ten minutes, then they disappeared altogether. I tried using my binoculars, but could see no better, so just used my naked eye. Judy, source: www.ufocasebook.com

    Ohio-Short Cigar-Shaped Object
11-05-08-I was driving home from taking my wife some lunch at her work, and saw this black helicopter with no marking, flying around the area. I really didn't think too much of it and I kept driving as usual.

As I was sitting at an intersection red light, I looked up to my left, and saw this silver object in the sky. It wasn't a saucer. The best way I could describe it would be a very short cigar shape. I would estimate it was about a half mile from me, and about 1000 feet high.

I do not think it was a plane, because there was no contrail, and no noise. This was broad daylight and it was a beautiful, clear day here today. I reached for my camera to take a pic, and when I looked back up, there were now two. They were traveling at the exact same speed. Then out of nowhere the black helicopter appeared, and looked to be following the objects. My picture did not turn out, but this was like nothing I had ever seen before. source: www.mufon.com

    Utah-Nine Bright Lights
11-06-08-I was pulling up to my friends house in my car, which was facing the mountains over where Mesquite, NV is. It's pitch black over where these mountains are, and it is also a very dark area where my friend lives. There was nobody around because it's a very quiet neighborhood.

Anyway, I pulled up in my car and went down to shut my car off, and when I looked up again I saw approximately 9 very bright lights about 30 degrees above the horizon in a perfectely curved shape. These lights were very bright. I stared in absolute amazement and in absolute shock at what I was looking at.

I have never seen anything like this before. After about 30 seconds, they started to dim starting with the outer lights first in the formation and ending with the middle light, so it dimmed going in. I hurried and got out of my car and about 5 seconds later I saw two bright lights glowing next to where I saw the first lights.

Also, this thing I saw never moved... It was completly still, and so were the 2 lights I saw after the first bright 9. I went and grabbed my friend but we came out and saw nothing. I then looked at a plane flying high level in the sky and just one of the lights on this thing was easily 20 times brighter than the plane itself. Whatever it was, it was massive. It was very scary because I felt as if this thing was looking right at me before it disappeared. I tried to film it, but I was in absolute shock and couldn't get my camera phone out in time before it disappeared. source: www.mufon.com

    Canada-Two Bright Lights
11-05-08-I stepped out onto my deck, which faces south (towards Halifax), at approximately 5:20 Monday morning, November 3rd, 2008. While smoking my cigarette, I noticed two very bright white lights, stacked vertically, in the southeast quadrant of the sky, moving towards the northeast. As they appeared to get closer, it was apparent that they were moving very quickly.

What struck me as unusual was the time, and the liklihood that two aircraft would be be flying in a vertical formation at this time. Also noticed were a number (approx 4-5) of fainter, red lights of the approximate same size, to the left and right of the two white lights, which seemed to lead/follow the white, brighter lights through the early morning sky.

There was no audible noise, but they all seemed to move in a coordinated fashion towards the east. From where I live, I would estimate that these objects were in the sky somewhere east of Halifax International Airport, and possibly closer to the Eastern Shore (i.e. Musquodoboit Harbor/Martinique) source: www.mufon.com
