I want to send this clip of something moving extremely
fast and skipping through the sky. This clip is going to show the object
coming into view from the left in slow motion and then the second half of
the clip shows it at normal speed.
I was just about to go in the house after spending some time skywatching when I noticed this black object passing overhead at an unbelievable speed heading North. I tried like heck to get it on tape but it was out of site by the time my camera warmed up (about 5 seconds). Not only was this object too fast to be a bird or a bug but it seemed to be skipping through the sky like when you skip a rock across the surface of a body of water. I scanned the sky immediately after and I noticed what appears to be another one of these black objects coming from the same spot in the sky as the first black object. I already had the camera on and aimed it in the right spot in the sky as the object passed by. It was so fast that I didn't know at the time if I got it on video or even in focus but it's obvious I did. The objects weren't that high at all, well under 1000ft on a partly cloudy day (rough guess). I thought at first glance that this was a bug of some sort but it was too high and too big to be a bug. So then I thought it may be a bird but it was way too fast and skipped across the sky with no wings. I get alot of birds in my videos and not one, even at a distance, looked like these black objects. I am not sure on this one. What do you think? Rich Giordano www.cnufos.com Phoenix, Az.

AUFORC received a report that on Friday Night/Saturday morning at 01:35 a trucker was exiting 1-40 onto I-81 north. The sky was especially clear and stars were extremely visible. The driver states that as he got up to speed on 1-81, he noted a strange absence of stars in a large area of sky ahead and to his left...He drove for several minutes and kept watching the strange occurrence in the sky until he got to an area where he could exit his truck. He got out in a dark area and took note of the time and it was 01:54. He states that what he saw was almost unexplainable, 3 triangular areas in the sky devoid of stars. As he looked, the stars would appear behind and disappear in front of the dark areas. he noted these three areas were triangular and in perfect formation , moving very slowly westward. After watching the phenomenon for about 14 more minutes, he had to leave to finish his job. He did also note some difference in the triangular objects from the background sky but barely, faintly visible, possibly slightly lit from ground light. Kim Shaffer AUFORC/ Tn MUFON SD

The Phoenix Lights Case: The Fear Continues
by Peter R. Farley
His answer to me was that it was "alien technology, piloted by
humans, for use against the people." Thinking along these lines, it
only seemed to make sense then that, like the Motherships of the
movie Independence Day, something this large and foreboding appearing
over a city in broad daylight would create exactly the fear and havoc
amongst the population that those craft did in that very popular
movie of a few years back. In fact, in the absence of any informed
resistance, such a fearful sight would have exactly the desired
effect of subjugating the people to the will of those who wished to
control it for their own nefarious purposes, i.e. the New World
Order.
The question I wondered then was, is there any proof to support what
my source had told me? And indeed there was.
In the book, UFO Revelations: The Secret Technology Exposed, author
Tim Matthews delves deeply into the history of such craft. Although
the Phoenix Lights aircraft was far larger than anything seen before,
it would be easy to believe that it could simply be an updated
version of technology already in existence.
One particular case quoted by Matthews is more suggestive of this
statement than any other. The case involved a recovery operation in
1967 near Heyford, England. Contacting UFO researcher Andy Roberts, a
participant in the recovery claimed that what had been recovered had
been an unidentified flying triangle (UFT).
The witness described the craft as roughly twenty-five feet in
length, about 15 feet wide, and about 12 feet in height. It had been
made of something the witness described as "like polished aluminum"
with a bluish sheen to it. ". . . it just looked like the front end
of a stealth bomber, but a shorter version," said the witness. "There
were no markings as far as I can remember, but I didn't really take
any notice," he added.
The wreckage, instead of being taken to a hangar as would normally be
done in such a case, was taken "straight down to the bomber dump,"
said the witness. "I didn't think much of it at the time . . . (but)
I had occasion to go down there a few days and the doors had steel
bars welded across, and the whole place was sealed."
The crash had taken place in early 1967, 30 years prior to the
Phoenix Lights case. This would have been ample time to perfect the
technology and create a full scale working version to alien-size
specifications.
"All the time I just thought it was some sort of experimental
aircraft . . . But looking back, it puzzles me as to why this object
was like it was, it was like an aircraft but wasn't like any
aircraft, like the front-end of an aircraft, but it wasn't."
Matthews research on the incident turned up the fact that
an 'abandoned project', the TSP2, had been stationed at the local RAF
base in Bicester, not far from Heyford. He was also able to confirm
that American personnel had been on hand to watch the clean up
operations taking place.
Jane's Defense Weekly correspondent, Nick Cook, cited by Matthews as
an authority on certain classified programs, believes that the US and
the UK had a secret formal agreement regarding testing of stealth
materials and aircraft at that time, much of which had been captured
from the Germans at the end of the Second World War.
Triangular unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and flying wing designs
had seen numerous tests since the 1950s, and were purportedly based
on UFO designs and shared or "captured" UFO technology. That these
aircraft are able to operate in silence is supported by numerous
eyewitness accounts, one e-mailed to me after the appearance of my
last article mentioning the Flying Triangle from a friend in Indiana
who has seen such a craft flying silently over her fields late at
night accompanied by what looked to her like some kind of a
scoutship.
Matthews quotes other military sources who, while stationed near
this same RAF base, had been participating in night ops during which
they say they saw a "large black aircraft" about the size of a
Hercules (transport) or even bigger, that "operated in silence." The
only thing these military sources could remember after the plane left
was that they unexplainably found themselves 2,000 feet away from the
previous position from which they had first spotted this mysterious
aircraft.
During hypnotic regression, one of the soldiers, a trained member of
a reconnaissance unit, recalled "feeling cold as a bright light shone
down on him from the direction of the UFO." Then an American had
appeared and started prodding the soldiers "with a stick-like device
akin to an aerial." The American had been wearing a black zip-up
outfit.
The witness recalled "a bright beam of pulsating light" encircling
the soldiers, and that he had been able to pick out the shape of
a "wedge-shaped" black triangle.
A similar story was reported to Matthews in 1997 after a similar
craft had been encountered by the captain of a group of about 20
soldiers on night maneuvers near RAF Boscombe Down, one of the sites
from which these aircraft were said to have flown.
Another report tells of how a "large triangular aircraft" was pulled
out of a hangar, seen to have taken off vertically, and been followed
by an RAF Tornado escort. The witness in this case, a female RAF
personnel, suggested that what she had seen most closely resembled
the 'cancelled' US Navy A-12 Avenger, a precursor to the AX-17/A-17
swing-wing stealth attack aircraft built by General
Dynamics/McDonnell Douglas. According to Matthews, this was first
displayed in public at Carswell, Ft. Worth, Texas, in June 1996. The
Avenger was to be accommodated on board a carrier by folding its
hinged 70-foot wings to just 36 feet.
Australian UFO-researcher Stan Deyo recently reported on a late night
radio talk show the sighting of a plane similar to a C-141 Starlifter
that operated in silence, and had the ability to vertically ascend
and descend in its maneuvers. This, he said, had been seen near the
super-secret Pine Gap installation in Australia.
A craft the size of the Black Triangle involved in the Phoenix Lights
case, variously reported to have been from 1 to 8 miles in length and
able "to land a 737 on one of its wings," that is able to virtually
hover in one place as low as 1,200 ft, that is unable to be detected
by radar, and which incorporates the UFO-like ability to transport
people from one place to another on the ground, would understandably
be a fearsome weapon when placed in the hands of the New World Order
for population and crowd control purposes. No longer, however, does
it seem like a myth -- from what my source says, there are now
somewhere near 8 or 9 of these things ready to go, and, after all, he
did seem right about their existence in the first place. . .

Alien Abduction Reports are Rising-As Seen on TV
Posted on Thu, Nov. 03, 2005 By Amy Wilson Herald-leader Staff Writer A few quick questions: Have you seen beams of light come into your room through a window? Have you ever woken up startled? Do you have chronic sinusitis? Do you have to sleep against a wall? Ever been afraid of your closet? Have ringing in your ears? A fear of doctors? Had the feeling you were going crazy? Are you aware of the cosmos, interested in ecology, the environment, vegetarianism? Did you answer "yes" to one or more? The good news is, welcome to the club. The bad news is, according to a study conducted in 2002 by the Roper Center for Public Opinion, these are a few of 58 positive indicators that you might be one of the 3.7 million Americans who say they have been abducted by aliens. Even better news? There's about to be a bunch more of you. It seems that you can Google "alien abduction," read big books, do extensive research and still come up with one conclusion: The more TV you watch, the more knowledge you have of the appearance and behavior of abducting aliens. And the more knowledge you have, the more likely you are to be abducted. Or think you've been abducted. Or are willing to try to convince the rest of us that you've been abducted, experimented on, had your eyes pulled out, your private parts probed and your nose implanted with some kind of thing that only the aliens can find on careful review. So with the loyal sci-fi audience success of the new alien-themed dramas Threshold on CBS and Invasion on ABC -- last week, they netted 6 million and 3 million viewers, respectively -- the aliens might be coming soon to a back road, bedroom or bus station near you. Ever since 1966, when Betty and Barney Hill first went public with a tale of aliens sampling their DNA, there has been a virtual epidemic of alien takings. The abduction of the Hills made big news at the time. In 1961, the couple had reported only seeing bright lights. But in 1966, when they went to a hypnotist, Betty revealed her brave endurance of a painful nose probe and, as if that weren't enough, she gave researchers a star map she'd glimpsed while aboard the ship. Barney was a little less specific under hypnosis. So the practitioners asked him to draw a picture of his abductors. He did: big bald head, little slanty black eyes, no mouth, skinny. Today, it's a kind of prototype of creatures known by alien experts as "grays." Thing is, Barney's description was exactly what the aliens had looked like on an episode of The Outer Limits. That episode, "The Bellaro Shield," had aired a little more than a week before Barney drew his picture. Many believers According to the Roper poll -- which, it should be noted, was conducted for the Sci-Fi Channel -- "two-thirds of Americans say they think there are other forms of intelligent life in the universe, and nearly half say they think UFOs have visited the earth in some form or that aliens have monitored life on earth. In fact, more than one in three believed that humans have interacted with extraterrestrial life forms." As to alien kidnappings and probings, "one in five Americans say that abductions have taken place." And among those who believe in abductions, one-third claim to have experienced, or know someone who has experienced, a close encounter. Elizabeth Loftus, the much-acclaimed psychologist at the University of California-Irvine who successfully debunked the theory of repressed memory, said television "gives visual plausibility to an abduction explanation" for any number of things -- nightmares, moles on our skin, loneliness, sexual abnormalities. People simply want to understand why they are experiencing some abnormal, frightening or confusing things. In the 1980s, those same symptoms were typically explained away as "suddenly remembered sexual abuse," she said. It depended, she said, on which kind of therapist was consulted. "If you were steered to a satanic therapist, it was Satan doing it," she said. "If you went to an alien-abductionist therapist, it was the aliens. If you went to a therapist who believed everything stemmed from forgotten child or sexual abuse, bingo, that was it." Loftus, who has served as an expert witness on many such cases, has proved in the laboratory that such memories can be implanted. The problem in those cases, she says, is that there is no evidence that any of that -- the alien abduction, the sexual abuse, the satanic visitation -- ever occurred. (No doubt, she said, tragic and horrible sexual abuse does occur, but rather than being repressed, it is vividly remembered. The kind that needs to be "suggested" to a patient is something else altogether.) Susan Clancy, a psychologist at Harvard University, agreed. In her just-published book, Abducted: How People Come to Believe They Were Kidnapped by Aliens, Clancy postulates that increased claims of abduction are "false memories," which are not the same as lies. They are created explanations, maybe even a part "of a larger spiritual quest," she said. "They're looking for answers to something bigger. They are looking for a meaning they don't get from science." And where do they get the palette? In the 1950s and '60s, Clancy said, aliens were represented in movies as robots or serpents, but the Outer Limits-Barney Hill drawing won the day. That's who people see. That's who they expect to see. "Today," Clancy said, "my 2-year-old, who can't tell you the difference between a dog and a cat, can pick out the right alien. TV taught her that." Eerie coincidences So where does this leave the famous Stanford, Ky., abduction case -- which many believers cite as the one that can't be explained away -- nearly 30 years after its original telling? On Jan. 6, 1976, Mona Stafford, Louise Smith and Elaine Thomas, three ordinary rural Kentucky women, reported that they had been driving on U.S. 27, 35 miles from Liberty, their hometown, when their car came under the control of outside forces, they said. A glowing laserlike beam sucked them off the road. Then things kind of went blank. When the women came to, they said, they found themselves in the car -- but all were missing about 90 minutes of their memories. They called the police the next day. Their story was in all the papers. Polygraphed, they were unshakable. Coincidentally, The UFO Incident, an NBC-TV movie starring James Earl Jones as Barney Hill and Estelle Parsons as Betty, was first shown Oct. 20, 1975, just 10 weeks before the eerie episode on U.S. 27. In fact, the number of reported UFO abductions after that television movie aired simply mushroomed. Also, the National Enquirer tabloid had offered a cash prize of $100,000 for definitive proof of extraterrestrial life, but in 1976, the year of the U.S. 27 incident, the prize was bumped to $1 million. In the decade before 1975, there had been 50 abduction-type reports -- about five a year. From 1976 to 1978, the rate was about 50 a year. Still, the Kentucky case remained famous because the women -- two are now dead and one moved west, where she could talk about the experience and not be ridiculed, she said -- stuck to their story. The academic who hypnotized them and the Lexington police lieutenant who polygraphed the trio are both dead. The Mutual UFO Network investigator who interviewed them is likewise unreachable. Abduction reports tend to come in waves, almost as if they are the fashion. Why? Because socially, the experience has no downside. Unlike people who are sexually abused or who are victims of satanic rituals, alien abductees tend to be proud and talkative about the experiences. It makes them special. It has done something else, Harvard's Clancy said. Three good decades of TV and movies have made aliens less scary than, say, terrorists. So we embrace them, especially now. ABC and NBC, the networks behind Invasion and Threshold, are counting on it. Have you been abducted? No branch of the United States Government is currently involved with or responsible for investigations into the possibility of alien life on other planets or for investigating Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO's). The U.S. Air Force (USAF) and NASA have had intermittent, independent investigations of the possibility of alien life on other planets however, none of these has produced factual evidence that life exists on other planets, nor that UFO's are related to aliens.
Under Project Blue Book (1947 to 1969), the Air Force investigated UFO's then in 1977, NASA was asked to examine the possibility of resuming UFO investigations. After studying all of the facts available, it was determined that nothing would be gained by further investigation, since there was an absence of tangible evidence. In October 1992, NASA was directed by Congress to begin a detailed search for artificial radio signals from other civilizations under the NASA Towards Other Planetary Systems (TOPS)/High Resolution Microwave Survey (HRMS) program (also known as the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence project). Congress directed NASA to end this project in October 1993, citing pressures on the US Federal budget. The HRMS did not detect any confirmed signal before it was stopped. However, similar work will continue in a more limited manner through efforts of private groups and through academic institutions. The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI Institute) in Mountain View, CA, effectively replaced the Government project, borrowing the signal processing system from NASA. The SETI Institute is a nonprofit corporation conducting research in a number of fields including all science and technology aspects of astronomy and planetary sciences, chemical evolution, the origin of life, biological evolution, and cultural evolution. During several space missions, NASA astronauts have reported phenomena not immediately explainable however, in every instance NASA determined that the observations could not be termed " abnormal" in the space environment. The 1947 to 1969 USAF investigations studied UFO's under Project Blue Book. The project, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, was terminated December 17, 1969. Of the total of 12,618 sightings reported to Project Blue Book, 701 remain " unidentified." The decision to discontinue UFO investigations was based on an evaluation of a report prepared by the University of Colorado entitled, " Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects " a review of the University of Colorado's report by the National Academy of Sciences previous UFO studies and Air Force experience investigating UFO reports during the 1940s, '50s and '60s. As a result of experience, investigations, and studies since 1948, the conclusions of Project Blue Book were: (1) no UFO reported, investigated, and evaluated by the Air Force was ever a threat to our national security (2) there was no evidence submitted to, or discovered by, the Air Force that sightings categorized as " unidentified" represented technological developments or principles beyond the range of modern scientific knowledge and (3) there was no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as " unidentified" were extraterrestrial vehicles. With the termination of Project Blue Book, the USAF regulation establishing and controlling the program for investigating and analyzing UFO's was rescinded. Documentation regarding the former Project Blue Book investigation was permanently transferred to the Modern Military Branch, National Archives and Records Service, in Washington, DC 20408, and is available for public review and analysis. Since the termination of Project Blue Book, nothing has occurred that would support a resumption of UFO investigations by the USAF or NASA. Given the current environment of steadily decreasing defense and space budgets, it is unlikely that the Air Force or NASA will become involved in this type of costly project in the foreseeable future. Since neither NASA nor the Air Force is engaged in day-to-day UFO research, neither one reviews UFO-related articles intended for publication, evaluates UFO-type spacecraft drawings, or accepts accounts of UFO sightings or applications for employment in the field of aerial phenomena investigation. UFO Points of Contact For further information on the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, see the The SETI Institute's Web Site. News media requiring Project Blue Book files should contact the National Archives Public Affairs Office, (202) 501-5525. Public queries should be addressed to the Project Blue Book archivist at (202) 501-5385. For queries not related to Project Blue Book, contact the National Archives receptionist at (202) 501-5400. Documentation is available from: Modern Military Branch, National Archives and Records Service, Eighth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20408. The Air Force publication, " The Roswell Report: Fact Vs. Fiction in the New Mexico Desert," a lengthy document providing all of the details available from the Air Force on the Roswell incident, is available for $52 from the US Government Printing Office, Superintendent of Documents, Mail Stop: SSOP, Washington, DC 20402-9328. There are a number of universities and professional scientific organizations that have considered UFO phenomena during periodic meetings and seminars. A list of private organizations interested in aerial phenomena may be found in Gale's Encyclopedia of Associations. Persons wishing to report UFO sightings are advised to contact law enforcement agencies. source and references: FAQ page on the offical NASA website, www.nasa.gov. |

ORBS--Conscious Life Form from Other Dimensions? By Beth Fowler. [November 5, 2005] Why the influx of orb photos -- and what are orbs? Most orbs are caught on digital cameras. This is the most popular way to take pictures -- almost every household owns one -- so this would explain the increase in the number of orb photos. * Myth or Facts? Some skeptics have their theories about orbs: 1. Orbs are just pixel distortions in the electronics of cameras. This could be true -- if almost every picture taken with a camera contains orbs. In that case, get the camera fixed or buy a new one. 2. Other skeptics suggest that orbs could be reflections off of dust particles that are floating in a room, or off of a moth or some other insect flying around. 3. Others say orbs are just someone shining a flashlight into the camera. But... 1. But why would one only photograph orbs on occasion, and only in one location? Can a camera take distorted pictures randomly? Possibly. But in one investigation, the orbs mainly appeared in one room. The only other room the orbs appeared in -- and only once -- was in a nearly adjacent room. But we took pictures throughout the house on every visit -- and only that one room had orb activity. And with pixel distortions in digital cameras, you cannot see through the 'orbs,' nor can you see actual faces in them. 2. If orbs were caused by dust particles floating about a room, the photo should be nearly white with the reflection coming off of all the dust particles. So why are there only one, or a few, orbs in some photos? As for the insect theory, after taking the photo you'd see the insect buzzing around. And if you photograph an insect and the light does happen to reflect off it -- it wouldn't be a perfect orb and wouldn't have the layers of some orbs. Plus, I think most people are smart enough to know an insect when they see one. 3. Yes, some people try to fake photos with a flashlight or candle. But with a flashlight, the glare on the camera is intense and looks fake. And with a candle, you see the flame's glow in the center -- and any software program can enlarge the photo to reveal that it's a fake. As for using software to fake photos -- unless you are a master of fakery, even an amateur can take that photo and use their own program to learn where the photo has been doctored. * VIDEOS But how does one explain orbs caught on video? I can see the insect theory working here. But as I said, most people can distinguish between an insect and something unusual. I had an orb fly right up to me -- saw it through the screen on the camera! -- and when I looked up, no insect. As for dust, again, there'd be so many particles reflecting light that all you'd see is a sea of white. And if orbs were caused by a pixel distortion on the video camera - then all shots taken with that camera would have the same problem. And unless you're a master at filmmaking and fakery -- an amateur can usually discern a fake orb video within an hour. I believe the orbs we've caught on video are something more. They don't float, but rather 'dance' around. And when we talk to them, these orbs float to the person speaking (or concentrating). A rock doesn't approach you when you speak to it, nor does it have any reaction, neither does steel or the like. Only things with a conscious or life energy seem to have a reaction when communication is involved. * Guides & Angels A world-famous psychic that I respect -- and believe me, I can count the ones I do on one hand! -- believes that orbs are "guides" or "guardian angels." After seeing an orb hover over my 14-year-old niece one night, then seeing it disappear behind her, I think that is not only a lovely thought -- but possibly true! In the same house, a woman sat down and concentrated as a photo was taken. A huge orb appeared beside her head, and I had a vision of the woman's grandfather. So could orbs be spirits or visitations -- messages from deceased loved ones? Absolutely possible. The notion of orbs as deceased loves ones is compatible with the angel/guide theory. Most people believe that their deceased loved ones return to check up on them when needed. * Aliens? Another theory states that orbs are aliens. Not that I don't believe there are other life forms in the universe and that we might be monitored -- but why would there be so many 'aliens' in one house? Especially in a house full of ordinary people, with no significant political power? * Orbs Are Conscious In conclusion, I believed that orbs are some type of "consciousness." What kind -- guides, angels, dearly departed -- no one knows. One house I've investigated has a room with orbs, plasma, and apparitions. My theory is that there might possibly be a portal on that piece of land. The theory of departed loved ones watching over the house's residents cannot be disputed either. Others believe there's more than one dimension in our world. Anywhere from five to an infinity. And in these other dimensions, other consciousness 'live' and on occasion enter ours and communicate -- or stumble in by accident. They've always been here, but it's only now that so many people have had the technology to capture them. Maybe they're trying to tell us something -- about ourselves, about the world around us, about our future as a planet. As technology advances and becomes less expensive, what other amazing paranormal activity will we discover? Copyright 2005 by Beth Fowler. 1956: UFO Encounter / Jet Chase Over Bentwaters AFB, U. K. |
Observations of unidentified objects by USAF and RAF personnel, extending over 5 hours, and involving ground-radar, airborne-radar, ground visual and airborne-visual sightings of high-speed unconventionally maneuvering objects in the vicinity of two RAF stations at night make this case a true "unexplained.". It is Case 2 in the Condon Report and is there conceded to be unexplained.
On the night of August 13-14, 1956, radar operators at two military bases in the east of England repeatedly tracked single and multiple objects which displayed high speed, as well as rapid changes of speed and direction. Two jet interceptors were sent up, and were able to see and track them in a brief series of maneuvers. According to official U.S. Air Force reports, the sightings could not be explained by radar malfunction or by unusual weather.
It began at 9:30 p.m. when Airman 2nd Class John Vaccare, of the U.S. Air Force at RAF Bentwaters, tracked one UFO on his Ground Controlled Approach radar (type AN/MPN-11A) as it flew 40-50 miles (65 to 80 km.) in 30 seconds, i.e. 4,800 to 6,000 mph (7,500 to 9,500 km./hr.).
A few minutes later Vaccare reported to T/Sergeant L. Whenry that a group of 12 to 15 unidentified targets was tracked from 8 miles (13 km.) southwest of Bentwaters to 40 miles (65 km.) northeast, at which time they "appeared to converge into one very large object, according to the size of the blip on the radar scope, which seemed to be several times larger than a B-36 aircraft [the largest operational bomber in history, with a wingspan of 230 feet or 70 m.]." The single large blip stopped twice for several minutes while being tracked, before flying off the scope.
At 10 p.m., a single unidentified target was tracked from Bentwaters as it covered 55 miles (90 km.) in just 16 seconds. This works out to over 12,000 mph (19,000 km./hr.).
Then, at 10:55 p.m., the Bentwaters GCA radar picked up an unidentified target on the same east-to-west course as the previous one, at an apparent speed of "2,000 to 4,000 mph" (3,200 to 6,400 km./hr.). Someone in the Bentwaters control tower reported seeing "a bright light passing over the field from east to west at about 4,000 feet [1,200 m.]." At about the same time, the pilot of a C-47 twin-engine military transport plane over Bentwaters said, "a bright light streaked under my aircraft travelling east to west at terrific speed." All three reports coincided.
Soon after, radars at Bentwaters and RAF Lakenheath reported a stationary object 20-25 miles (32-40 km.) southwest of the latter base. It suddenly began moving north at 400 to 600 mph (650 to 1,000 km./hr.), but "there was no build-up to this speed - it was constant from the second it started to move until it stopped." It made several abrupt changes of direction without appearing to slow for its turns.
Around 11:30 p.m., the RAF launched a deHavilland Venom jet interceptor, from RAF Waterbeach. According to the U.S. Air Force UFO report:
"Pilot advised he had a bright white light in sight and would investigate. At 13 miles [20 km.] west he reported loss of target and white light. Lakenheath (radar) vectored him to a target 10 miles [16 km.] east of Lakenheath and pilot advised (that) target was on his radar and was 'locking on.' Pilot then reported he had lost target on his radar.
"Lakenheath GCA reports that as the Venom passed the target on radar, the target began a tail chase of the friendly fighter. Radar requested pilot acknowledge this chase. Pilot acknowledged and stated he would try to circle and get behind the target. Pilot advised he was unable to 'shake' the target off his tail and requested assistance.
"One additional Venom was scrambled from RAF station. Original pilot stated: 'Clearest target I have ever seen on radar." The following conversation between the two Venom fighter pilots was heard by the Lakenheath watch supervisor:
"Did you see anything?" [Pilot #2]
"I saw something, but I'll be damned if I know what it was." [Pilot #1]
"What happened?" [Pilot #2]
"He - or it - got behind me and I did everything I could to get behind him and I couldn't. It's the damndest thing I've ever seen." [Pilot #1]
The 1969 report by the Air Force-funded study at the University of Colorado under Dr. Edward U. Condon concluded:
"In summary, this is the most puzzling and unusual case in the radar-visual files. The apparent rational, intelligent behavior of the UFO suggests a mechanical device of unknown origin as the most probable explanation of this sighting. However, in view of the inevitable fallibility of witnesses, more conventional explanations of this report cannot be entirely ruled out."
USAF Air Intelligence Information Report filed by Captain Edward L. Holt, August 31, 1956.
RAF CONTROLLER ACCOUNT:
This is the little-known but definitive account by F.H.C. Wimbledon, RAF Fighter Controller on duty at RAF Neatishead, Norfolk:
"I was Chief Controller on duty at the main RAF Radar Station in East Anglia on the night in question. My duties were to monitor the radar picture and to scramble the Battle Flight, who were on duty 24 hours a day, to intercept any intruder of British airspace not positively identified in my sector of responsibility."
"I remember Lakenheath USAF base telephoning to say there was some thing "buzzing" their airfield circuit. I scrambled a Venom night fighter from the Battle Flight through Sector and my controller in the Interception Cabin took over control of it. The Interception Control team would consist of one Fighter Controller (an Officer), a Corporal, a tracker and a height reader. That is, four highly trained personnel in addition to myself could now clearly see the object on our radarscopes."
"After being vectored onto the trail of the object by my Interception Controller, the pilot called out, "Contact," then a short time later, "Judy," which meant the Navigator had the target fairly and squarely on his own radar screen and needed no further help from the ground. He continued to close on the target but after a few seconds, and in the space of one or two sweeps of our scopes, the object appeared behind our fighter. Our pilot called out, "Lost Contact, more help," and he was told the target was now behind him and he was given fresh instructions."
"I then scrambled a second Venom which was vectored toward the area but before it arrived on the scene the target had disappeared from our scopes and although we continued to keep a careful watch was not seen by us."
"The fact remains that at least nine RAF ground personnel and two RAF aircrew were conscious of an object sufficiently "solid" to give returns on radar. Naturally, all this was reported and a Senior Officer from the Air Ministry came down and interrogated us."
THE CONDON REPORT CASE:
Lakenheath, England, 13-14 August 1956
The Condon Report:
2230-0330 LST. Weather: generally clear until 0300 LST on the 14th. (For details see Section IV.)
The probability that anomalous propagation of radar signals may have been involved in this case seems to be small. One or two details are suggestive of AP, particularly the reported disappearance of the first track as the UFO appeared to overfly the Bentwaters GCA radar. Against this must be weighed the Lakenheath controller's statement that there was "little or no traffic or targets on scope," which is not at all suggestive of AP conditions, and the behavior of the target near Lakenheath - apparently continuous and easily tracked. The "tailing" of the RAF fighter, taken alone, seems to indicate a possible ghost image, but this does not jibe with the report that the UFO stopped following the fighter, as the latter was returning to its base, and went off in a different direction. The radar operators were apparently careful to calculate the speed of the UFO from distances and elapsed times, and the speeds were reported as consistent from run to run, between stationary episodes. This behavior would be somewhat consistent with reflections from moving atmospheric layers - but not in so many different directions.
Visual mirage at Bentwaters seems to be out of the question because of the combined ground and airborne observations; the C47 pilot apparently saw the UFO below him. The visual objects do not seem to have been meteors; statements by the observers that meteors were numerous imply that they were able to differentiate the UFO from the meteors.
In summary, this is the most puzzling and unusual case in the radar-visual files. The apparently rational, intelligent behavior of the UFO suggests a mechanical device of unknown origin as the most probable explanation of this sighting. However, in view of the inevitable fallibility of witnesses, more conventional explanations of this report cannot be entirely ruled out.

YUMA -- Saturday night October 29, 2005, around 10:45 PM, we were driving north on Highway 95 headed to Fortuna Road which is 14 miles from Yuma Proving Grounds. My husband and I saw some lights over the field near the road. There were four lights on one side, then a gap with four lights on the other that were connected to a wood post carrying electrical wires. As we got closer we could see it was just hovering there. Two more lights came on in the middle of it. Then it rolled off to the right and was flying very low. It was twenty feet off the ground. Then it rocked from side to side. Right wing down and then left wing down.
I asked my husband, a USMC aircraft maintenance officer with a Bronze Star from Afghanistan, 18 years on the job and two conflicts deep, if I should call the police. He slowed down to 35 mph, it went up and turned around and shined the two middle lights brightly on us and the other car on the road which had a flat front tire and would not stop. He was probably also scared. It flew next to us at 35 mph, and my husband sped off at up to 85 mph and it was still next to us. The car with the flat started flashing high and low beam lights as if they did not want us to leave them behind. It followed us to our turn and then the craft turned around again and went back. My husband has worked on pretty much all the aircraft in the Corps. We heard no engine noise and it was not until I realized that planes do not fly next to you at 35 miles per hour that I got scared. YPG is a hot spot for sightings My husband enlightened me that there were no flashing lights like a plane or chopper. I went back the next day and there were two huge military trucks parked on the other side of the road that drove off as I was coming up. Thanks to Brian Vike www.hbccufo.com |

California - A Huge Sphere of Light
ORANGE COUNTY -- Ed Brooks writes, "I have had numerous sightings in the last four months on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.” I took this photo in California not Las Vegas as reported last week. For accuracy I believe this is important. I was awakened again last night, November 3, 2005, at about 11:40 pm, to a loud explosion and ran out back and sure enough there was the orange orb.
I have trouble sleeping and about 3:15 AM, on October 29, 2005 I had gotten out of bed and happened to see a huge glowing orange ball 750 feet high in my backyard. With my arm extended the object was the size of a tennis ball. It was extremely bright and staying solid and flying slowly east. I ran inside and awakened my friend Candice and when she saw it she could not even speak. It was still moving very slowly at about ten mph. I took about four pictures with different patterns from one picture to the next. I also took a close up per your suggestion. When I took the last picture something ejected from the object and two seconds later a bright flash lit up the sky followed by an explosion right after. It must have been pretty low because you could see smoke from the explosion. The explosion awakened my 11 year old son and he came outside to see. It began to fade out then back in again. It lasted for about 25 minutes. The flash and explosions are kind of scary. This time the sky was covered with low clouds and the orange orb rose upward this time to be engulfed by these clouds. There is no other sound but this time the neighbor’s dogs were whining and scratching at their owner’s door. Thanks to Ed Brooks OAKLAND -- I had gone over to a friend's house for a light party with videos on October 29, 2005. The movie just started and I glanced out the window for a moment at 8 PM, just in time to see a ball of white light, too large to be a comet, go down in a falling pattern. It seemed fairly far-off, and I know I wasn't imagining it because I could see that when it went behind trees and buildings, it wasn't visible. Nobody else saw it, but when I mentioned that I saw something like a massive comet falling, a few people brought up a series of light sightings from just days before. I wonder if they have a connection. Has anyone else noticed, out of mere curiosity, that radio stations and speakers lately have been getting weird beeping noises? Not high pitched or low down, but an alto-tone? Almost like a Morse code. I'm not the only one who's heard it; whenever I'm in a car or listening to a music program and it comes on, I wait until someone else brings it up to see if I'm the only one hearing it, and I'm not. Probably no correlation, but I still would like to know what it is. Thanks to Brian Vike |

| STRASBURG – On a clear day two witnesses noticed an object shining in daylight sky at 6:20 PM, on October 2, 2005. The sun was about 40 degrees from the object and through binoculars the object was clearly reflecting the sun and was visible for 15 minutes. It then split into three objects, or two smaller sections left main object for a short distance, then, all three appeared to move directly away and disappear in three seconds. The other witness to this is an engineer at Rocky Mountain Arsenal and a total skeptic. After seeing this object he is not so sure! Thanks to Peter Davenport Director www.ufocenter.com |

GAINESVILLE -- I was getting in my car and movement overhead caught my eye on October 20, 2005, at 6:14 PM. I spotted a very slow moving and very low overhead craft that was absolutely enormous. At first when I recognized the dark triangular shape, I thought perhaps it was a stealth bomber, but realized it wasn't possible as it was so low, moving so slowly, and did not make a sound.
It was silent on a perfectly clear night with the stars shining. It was an hour after sunset and the moon was rising. The object was barely visible but had very dim lights around its edges- roughly as bright as the dimmest stars, that distorted the background sky to conceal itself. It flew due east and I watched as it passed over the roof of the adjacent building. I followed the best I could but I had no luck and nearly got in an accident. Incidentally, I have a BS in psychology. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director www.ufocenter.com |

HILLSBORO – The witness reports seeing a bell-shaped object at 7:30 PM, on October 29, 2005, while typing on the computer. During previous sightings the light has appeared to change shape and pulse in response to a large flashlight blinking white or red. It was higher in the sky and a little farther west than in previous sightings. A similar light was observed on the evening of October 18, and 26.
This evening the light did not respond to the flashing lights and remained stationary for about 45 minutes. I thought it might be Mars, but it began to descend (two 2 thumb widths from the horizon) and "float" westward. It took about ten minutes for it to move west too far to be seen. The sky was clear and the temperature was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks to Brian Vike www.hbccufo.com Editor’s Note: All planets and stars appear to move 15 degrees per hour as the Earth spins. |

WESTLAND -- I saw three lines of lights in a intersecting formation slowly flying over my house at about the same level as a helicopter would fly on October 16, 2005, at 9:20 PM, but it wasn't a helicopter. I would know because I've lived next to Detroit metro for three years and I've seen many planes and helicopters but nothing like this! It was the size of a football field but there was nobody I could see, just lights. Also there was no sound. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director www.ufocenter.com
WIXOM – The witness spotted an oval-shaped object that was floating above several farm buildings on October 17, 2005, at 10 PM. It hovered slowly along the roof line of each shed, and was almost silent, except for a muted staccato noise, that sounded like clucking? Thanks to Peter Davenport Director www.ufocenter.com |

| BRUMLEY – The witness reports, “My son 32 and I (56) both saw a strange light that would move near us, then move back out on October 27, 2005, at 3 AM. This went on for about six minutes. It was flying at mid sky to the west. We live in Miller County Missouri, far back in the woods. We have seen many things up here over the past few years, but this is the first I have reported to anyone. There was no sound, but it was not an aircraft or helicopter. BRONX -- I was working as an over night security guard for a beer distribution company on November 10, 2001. I noticed for more than over a month lights that seem to appear at random times after midnight over a building located in front of the facility. These lights resembled those of a brilliant roman candle
They sparkled on a massive scale over the building in front of the facility. I observed this night after night from my security booth. I decided to take a closer look, when I approached the front entrance I saw that out of these sparkles appeared a huge black triangle. I was frightened by the size of this craft which hovered directly above me and was heading east at a very slow speed and most importantly very silent tempo. It was as wide as a six story building and as long as a twelve story building and was about nine stories up in the sky. I paced backwards as this craft was right above me and I was speechless. I thought I could possibly be an abductee. The craft was literally pitch black and the only light was a white signal light at the tip of its nose. Bush was in town on that weekend to address the victims of that disaster I truly believe that I am one out of a few in New York who pay attention to the signs in the sky. | JONESTOWN -- I was driving to work the night of October 19, 2005 and around 9:15 PM, a bright circular light appeared in the sky. Then one after another they just lit up in a row across the sky. Then they disappeared and I could see blinking lights from 6 to 10 aircraft flying all around like they were chasing each other. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director www.ufocenter.com |

| Texas – Formation Sighting ARLINGTON -- A man and woman called to report witnessing a peculiar yellow light in the northern sky, viewed from their location in the center of Arlington on October 16, 2005, at 10:30 PM. They reported that the flare seemed to simply accelerate straight away from them, moving to the north. Carswell AFB to the north of Arlington is open. TORONTO -- I saw something that struck me as very odd on November 2, 2005, at 6:42 PM, while out for a walk with my infant son. At 6:42 PM, out of the corner of my eye I spotted a white streak that upon focusing on it went across the horizon till it was obscured by trees. This seemed whiter and brighter than a meteor or a shooting star. Thanks to Brian Vike
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – The witness was out having a smoke on a balcony over looking the Bedford Basin and the Mackay Bridge on November 2, 2004, around 11:15 PM. The witness was looking up and something caught the witnesses eye. It had a three angled chevron shape. It was completely silent, and dark and didn't appear to be lit up. The witness noticed a red sort of diamond shapes on it. This was nothing like an aircraft and flew in half an arc, flew a barrel roll and then it disappeared. Thanks to Brian Vike www.hbccufo.com Brian Vike HBCC UFO Research is driving the 12 hours to Kelowna, British Columbia to take part in the filming of the Kelowna Missing Time Case. It will be a two day shoot and he will most likely arrive back home November 7, 2005.
