Reader Recounts 1997 Encounter in California
UFO I'm not sure where to start. I'm 34 yrs old and in 1997, maybe June, I lived in Crest, Ca, just outside El Cajon,CA 92021, which is a community of San Diego.

It was between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. I was on a dirt road overlooking avocado groves with my boyfriend, we were night off roading and we had a bonfire. It was a crystal clear night. In the very far distance I saw what looked to be a V-shaped formation that seemed to take up all of the Northeastern hemisphere of the sky, almost too big to notice the thing in the sky was connected and related, but it was. I saw something like a leading ship almost rocket away and out in front of the formation and then the lights from the entire formation went out of sight. I watched the sky, telling my boyfriend to look, he thought I was nuts.

At between 11:00 and 11:30 the object was coming back through the sky but in the same hemisphere and direction that it first came from, my boyfriend who is an excitable and loud person began to call out wildly, waving his hands wanting to not lose sight of it, we jumped into my suv and went as fast as we could to see it, he was honking and flashing his lights.

This object seemed to "focus" down to a smaller size and "zoom" right to where we were, it happened just as fast as a camera focuses and just as fluid in motion.

I want to say that the object got much smaller in size, or perhaps it was just one of the many ships that zoomed right down to us, it almost seemed close enough to touch, just above the tree line. My boyfriend stopped the truck at this point, we were mouth agaped and mezmerized by it, but I had heard of the movie "Fire in the Sky" before and was scared, begging my boyfriend to go.

I think he got scared too but never admitted it. What I can remember is that it began flashing geometric shapes at us on what looked to be a scaffolding type ship body that was embedded with lights, we could see the night sky behind the object, but yet, sensed or it seemed to be solid somehow too.

The shapes it flashed at us were two dimensional and three dimensional. by the way it hovered, without noise, I almost thought it could have been a blimp if I had not seen the massive size earlier and not seen it transform or come in so close, so rapidly.

The shapes flashed faster and faster, almost dizzying, we started the truck without any mechanical problems and sped off like bats out of hell, there was no incident that I know of, I don't think they changed any timeframes for us or harmed us in any way.

I turned on coast to coast and waited on hold for hours to try to get online to see if anyone saw it. I heard people on Art Bell talking about the Phoenix lights while I remained on hold, I figured they were talking about what I saw but didn't pay enough attention to realize they were talking about something that happened a few months before, I now wonder if people were calling in sightings near San Diego and comparing them to the Phoenix lights.

I didn't get through on Art Bell , we rented "Fire in the Sky" shortly after this incident so my ex knew that its not a good idea to call out to alien craft. We did go back to the location often in the next couple years to look for the object but never saw it again.

I was in the midst of a gruesome child custody case and didn't want to talk about it or make a fuss to people we didn't know as my ex would have used this against me saying I was crazy, so I simply left it alone. I never got through to Art Bell on the phone and only recently took the time to look into the Phoenix lights, never reading the story or any of the accounts all the way through.

I'm still amazed to this day at what I saw, especially the thought that I believe this object was showing me/ us this light display, trying to show something that we had in common, not necessarily communicating, but simply showing what it thought we may have in common.

    I'll never forget it, ever.

I thought I'd pass on the info to you, I've never told anyone but my parents, my boyfriend's parents at the time (we both told them) and my now husband and this week, you and one other UFO site. That's it.

I'm curious if anyone has ever seen anything like I did, with the scaffolding like size shifting craft, all embedded with lights and somehow see through but solid?

    Thanks

    Heather

    UFO Activity Above Cyprus
    UFO By Paul Wood 15.NOV.07

LARNACA Airport-bound planes and birds are commonly seen in the skies above Cyprus, but only last week there was a report of a UFO spotted over Limassol town and since an earlier article on UFOs in Cyprus, The Gazette has received many accounts from readers of their unexplained encounters.

Anthony in Nicosia contacted the Gazette to share his experience, "just last week at 10:10 pm we had a sighting of a UFO while we were travelling in the Kyrenia area that lasted for two minutes. It was an oblong shape, like a rugby ball on its end and was glowing very bright orange. It came from the coast inland near a village called Catalkoy in small but rapid zigzags then stopped and hovered for approximately 30 seconds before making a smooth ascent at 45 degrees up to the east towards a very bright star. It then disappeared. A friend had sighted a similar event at the same spot a month previously "

It is just the latest in a series of incidents of unidentified objects in our skies. A local TV cameraman posted a clip he filmed on the popular Youtube website of a 'strange craft' in the skies of Limassol.

The three-minute video shows a circular object hovering over the city. The UFO was a bright orange orb, which later changed to a rugby-ball shape.

There have been several sightings of UFOs on the island in the past five years. One of the earliest accounts of a UFO in Cyprus was in 1950, when two American soldiers described a "small, round, bright object flying fast, straight and level for 15-20 seconds across Nicosia".

Last month, a computer programmer and his girlfriend who were on holiday in Paphos had an experience which left them confused and dazed.

The man told a UFO news website, "It happend on Sunday 9th September at 1am. That night my girlfriend and I were lying down on sunbeds staring at the stars. After a while I sat on the sunbed looking and talking to my girlfriend when behind her over the rooftop I saw a circular irregular light moving quite fast. By the time I told her about it, it was already 45 degrees on my right.

She saw it as it was reappearing behind a building and finally it disappeared again behind trees. It moved quite fast and at a constant speed along an east to west straight line."

Last year a resident of Pygra had a similar experience: "The sound of my dogs barking alerted me to something. It was 1.30 in the morning and I headed out to try and discover what they were barking at. I noticed a bright light coming towards me, which then stopped and hovered. With binoculars, I could see it was a triangle-shaped object with amber, green and white lights. It was moving erratically left to right, back and forth - hovering there, observed by me for around 45 minutes. I tried to video it with a powerful zoom but the camera wouldnt operate. I checked the camera by filming other parts of the sky and the house and it operated perfectly. it simply wouldn't let me video the object. This thing then went behind a tree and stayed there."

In 2002, the self-styled Egyptian UFO Hunter, Dr.Ibrahim shot a five-minute video of a UFO above the carpark at Larnaca airport. The film shows a green 'shaking' object and can be seen on his website. (http://www.ufo-egyptian-hunter.org).

An unidentified flying object was also spotted over Kyrenia in 1998. It was seen on the Nicosia-Kyrenia road by a family from Kyrenia who were on their way home after visiting a friend's house.

They said an object "like a flying saucer" with white revolving lights had appeared around 50-100 metres above their car and that it had then followed them.

In July, a crowd of 100 stunned stargazers brought a UK town centre to a standstill when five mysterious UFOs were spotted hovering in the sky.

Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawk and camera-phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.

The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare's birthplace in Warwickshire. According to multiple surveys over the last several decades and from different countries, 5-7% of people have seen a UFO - equivalent to 15-20 million Americans - and 10-15% know someone who has seen a UFO.

Several hundred thousand UFO sightings have been documented over the last 50 years, and the total number of UFO sightings is estimated to be in the millions.

There are thousands of sightings reported each year. Only a small percentage of those who see a UFO report the sighting.

Famed NASA Astronaut Confirms Extraterrestrials are Here
UFO by Clark C. McClelland, former ScO, U.S. Space Shuttle Fleet, KSC, Florida 1958 to 1992

Space Shuttle Columbia during STS-80 took a crew of five astronauts into a 17 day, 15 hour and 54 minute mission around the earth, the longest flight in the history of this vehicle. During this lengthy flight a very strange event occurred that even had crewman Dr. Story Musgrave unable to explain what he observed from the shuttle windows.

A large disc shaped object appeared below the Columbia. The shuttle was approximately, 190 Nautical miles high.

The disc was first observed to miraculously appear from out of nowhere, flying through the clouds below and progressing from right to left as the astronauts stared in utter amazement. The outer rim of the craft appeared to be rotating counter-clockwise. It was very large (compared to common space junk and breakaway ice), approximately 50 to 150 feet in diameter.

Astronaut Dr. Story Musgrave, a Payload Specialist on the STS-80 Mission, was interviewed following the flight. As he viewed a videotape of the incident which showed lightning flashes in the atmosphere, the city lights of Denver, Colorado and other earthbound sights, he stated: "I don't know what it is. Whether it's a washer, debris, ice particles, I don't know. But it's characteristic of the thousands of things which I've seen. What is not so characteristic is it appears to come from no where. You would think that if it's facing the dark side or facing a side towards you which is not reflecting the sun, you would think that you would see something there. It's really impressive."

During an earlier interview, Dr. Musgrave stated he attempted to communicate with ET life forms during each of his six missions. He actually asked them to take him with them. Now that's an astronaut with a lot of courage. Dr. Musgrave retired after this flight from NASA. Since then he's been spreading his considered opinion that alien life exists. When Musgrave speaks of this, it's no great leap for one to assume he's admitting knowledge of alien life. As the final slide of a "Grey" ET was shown during a recent astronomy presentation by Dr. Musgrave, he made this surprising comment: "These guys are real... I guarantee it!" Dr. Musgrave does know the truth. This author guarantees it!

Consider that carefully. These are world renown scientists making statements almost beyond belief. Dr. von Braun and others of his stature have the courage to disclose "sensitive" information, but obviously the leaders of the USA and the world do not. If billions could find a way of coping with the overwhelming threat of atomic annihilation for half a century, it is reasonable to assume we can cope with the knowledge of these "Other Intelligence's" from the stars. We can cope with the fact they are visiting earth, and have been since the beginning of history. We must. Those still asleep must open their eyes. We Are Not Alone.

Photograph of Unknown Object over Canada
It’s been quite a month this year, as a whole. Many folks are coming out of the closet regarding a higher intelligence around the world. I wanted to submit more photographic evidence on behalf of my friend Jack from Ajax, Ontario.

Jack has worked very hard to capture photographic evidence of a presence in the Durham Region. He lives about 2 kms away from Lake Ontario. The Pickering Nuclear Station is about 5-7 kms, west of his location.

This picture was taken back on Sept.6, 2006, at 11:32 am. I will be also passing on to you shortly, a very interesting, daytime video clip.

UFO Sightings Put Gulf Breeze on the Extraterrestrial Map
    UFO

    BY DUSTY RICKETTS

    NORTHWEST FLORIDA DAILY NEWS

GULF BREEZE, Fla. -- Santa Rosa County Commissioner John Broxson was always a skeptical person.

He never believed the stories of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or unidentified flying objects.

But something happened nearly 20 years ago to make him change his mind on at least one of those phenomena.

Broxson was entertaining friends at his home in the Villa Venyce subdivision when something outside caught his attention. He went out for a closer look.

Something bright was hovering above his home: a parade of lights of different colors and intensity. He quickly had his wife, Christina, and their friends come out to see it for themselves. No one knew what they were watching.

The unidentified flying object hovered for several moments before quickly flying straight until it was out of sight.

"Frankly, I saw something that blew my mind," Broxson said. "It's a mystery to me. It just looked like something I wasn't expecting to see.

"I didn't want to see one and have people thinking I was weird. That's the only time I can recall seeing something that weird."

Broxson was not alone in having an unexplained sighting. This month marks the 20th anniversary of when former Gulf Breeze resident Edward Walters first saw a UFO flying above his yard, launching a period of sightings, seekers and fame for the area. Skeptics say the UFOs were part hoax, part imagination and part misidentification (Eglin Air Force Base and Pensacola Naval Air Station are nearby), but believers are undeterred.

Walters has said his Nov. 11, 1987, sighting was the first of more than 100 sightings and abductions he experienced over a six-year period. He wrote three books on UFOs and the Gulf Breeze sightings, but has since moved to Pensacola and no longer speaks to the media.

While Walters was the most outspoken person at the time to report seeing UFOs in Gulf Breeze, he was not the only person. People from around the world visited in hopes of seeing something unexplained after The Gulf Breeze Sentinel ran a story and photo about Walters.

Many of those people were not disappointed, said Don Ware, eastern regional director of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON.

Between 1987 and the end of 1993, when most of the sightings ended, Ware said hundreds of people reported seeing UFOs in Gulf Breeze. Walters and others took more than 125 photographs of supposed UFOs just between Nov. 11, 1987, and May 1, 1988, Ware said.

"I think probably over half the people in America have seen something in the sky that they didn't know what it was," Ware said. "Most of those people have probably seen an alien vehicle. I know I have seen alien vehicles."

MUFON is a national UFO investigative organization founded in 1969 in Illinois. Ware, a Fort Walton Beach resident who retired from the Air Force in 1982, has spent much of the past 25 years investigating UFO activity.

Ware became fascinated by UFOs after a series of sightings over Washington, D.C., in July 1952. He said he saw his first UFO on Sept. 12, 1989.

The Gulf Breeze sightings set off a media frenzy, and the community of about 6,000 residents became one of the country's UFO capitals.

"These phenomenons happened so often that Gulf Breeze became the center for these E.T. observations," Broxson said. "I thought (the Gulf Breeze sightings) had been a hoax all this time. Just some people seeing something with very active imaginations."

After his own sighting, Broxson became less skeptical.

Questions over the validity of the UFO sightings started almost as soon as the sightings themselves.

Phillip Klass, an investigator for what is now known as the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, studied the Gulf Breeze sightings and wrote his own book declaring them a massive hoax.

Klass died a couple years ago, but CSI executive director Barry Karr said he believes the accuracy of his former colleague's work.

"I really don't think there's any question the Gulf Breeze sightings were a hoax," Karr said. "There are things in the sky that can't be identified, especially near an air base. Just because it can't be identified doesn't mean it's a visitor from another planet."

The biggest piece of evidence pointing to a hoax was a UFO model constructed from drafting paper and paper plates reportedly discovered in Walters' former home after he had moved out.

Ware said he believes CSI workers planted the model and then informed the media of its location to debunk the validity of Walters' sightings.

"They try to debunk all the things that people see that they don't want understood too well," Ware said.

Karr laughed at the idea his organization planted the model to debunk the UFO stories.

"That's just hilarious," Karr said. "No, our organization did not plant the model. We're not that large of an organization."

Karr said he believes after word of the UFO sightings in Gulf Breeze started to break, everyone wanted to see one so much that they let their imagination get carried away.

One video he has seen of a "Gulf Breeze UFO" ended up being a flare shot into the air. Karr said pieces of the flare are clearly visible falling away from the larger flare in the tape.

During the late '80s and early '90s, UFOs became synonymous with Gulf Breeze. Businesses up and down the Emerald Coast took advantage of the UFO sightings to profit off the experience.

Club 51, the adult entertainment club on U.S. Highway 98 in Wynnhaven Beach, was originally called Area 51 after the supposed hidden military base in Roswell, N.M. UFO Motors was a used car dealership that operated in Midway for several years. A 1993 Associated Press article reported that Gulf Breeze restaurants sold a four-scoop UFO Sundae and a UFO Vegetarian Pizza. Stores also sold UFO jewelry, watches and books.

Nearby Pensacola even hosted the International UFO Symposium in 1990.

While it's been about 14 years since the period of the Gulf Breeze sightings ended, people still look to the sky and occasionally see something unexplained.

Cedric Cadow of Okaloosa Island never believed in UFOs. That changed after he said he saw two last month after leaving his home.

Cadow saw two bright orange oval discs hovering above Fort Walton Beach. The two discs emerged from behind the clouds and one hovered stationary while the other descended toward the ground, eventually going out of sight before coming back up.

The two UFOs then sped away, one to the east and the other to the north, in a flash of light that did not make any sound. It all lasted about 12 seconds, Cadow said.

"I couldn't believe it," he said. "I almost fell to the ground. I had never seen anything like it before. I thought it was all (garbage) before. It's not."

1971, St. Lorenzen, Styria, Austria / Rudi Nagora Photographs

On May 23, 1971 at about 12:30 P M, one of the most convincing photographs of a UFO was taken by one Rudi Nagora, a Munich musician. Nagora, along with his wife, were vacationing near St. Lorenzen, Styria, Austria.

After finding a suitable place to park his car, Nagora left his wife inside the vehicle while he scouted the general area before the two of them ventured out. Suddenly, he heard a "whizzing" sound coming from above. Looking up, he could clearly see a shining, silver disc which was between him and the cloud plane. The object was moving in a zig-zag pattern. He ran back to his car, told his wife what he had seen, and grabbed his camera.

Pointing his Agfa-Click camera at the object, he took a full roll of 12 exposures, capturing several stunning images. Now out of film, Nagora could see the object come even closer, and then shoot straight up, disappearing through the clouds.

After the approximately 5 minute sighting and film taking session, Nagora took his film back to Munich. UFO researcher Engineer Adolf Geigenthaler heard about the photographs, and began an investigation into the sighting. After careful examination, Nagoras photos were deemed legitimate by several reliable experts. The photos have never been debunked, and still testify today that we are not alone.

    Arizona-Series of Lights
Tumacacori-We were watching the night sky, a few small lights moving erratically in sky... suddenly three very large bright white lights flashed, followed by a series of same left to right... could not determine any shape (over Tumacacori Mountain).

Another appeared to our left but lights rose upward... then were gone... some time elapsed... more of same to our right but still on horizontal plane in front of us.

This happened perhaps a couple more times... then a series of 12 lights appeared in series horizontally and directly in front of us which was the grand finale of the evening... this was at 7:30 PM on Wed. 11-7-07

    Nevada-Nellis Test Range
I want to tell you that in 1988-1990 I worked on the Nellis Test Range at Tonopah and one night around 11 PM a very large aircraft of some sort flew over at about 250 feet. It was at least 100 yards wide and probably the same in length. It looked as though the bottom of the aircraft was painted to look like the midnight sky full of stars.

The commander made us all go inside the hangar while it passed overhead and tried to tell us that it was a C-130 refueling a couple of A-7’s. None of us ever believed this stupid story and as far as I know none of us that were present ever saw it again after that.

It was flying Southeast from the Tonopah Test Range Airfield. There was absolutely no noise from the aircraft at all. It was traveling at about 50 miles per hour. I promise you that it was the largest aircraft of any type that I have ever seen. It did look like it had lights on the edges of what I would call wingtips. It appeared to be similar to what most people show when they make drawings of the triangle.

    New Hampshire-Unknown Object
Hillsboro-I think you will find this interesting. I've always believed in UFO's. But there was always a part of me that doubted since I had never seen one. I still have never seen one. But my husband did. He's keeping hush about it because in all honesty it freaked him out too much and he doesn't want people to think he's crazy.

My husband is an honest reliable person and would never 'make up' things. He doesn't drink nor does any drugs. He didn't even believe in UFOs up until that night, that's how much of a 'rational' person he is. It’s crazy what he saw but after talking for hours about it, he saw what he saw and there's no rationalizing it. Because your eyes CAN play tricks, but your ears don't. And he saw and heard. So here's what he told me.

He was driving home from work at 2 am. He works second shift. This was last Friday night. He pulled off the exit to our small town. He drove and off to the right in a parking lot by a gas station he saw a really bright light. He said it looked like headlights on top of a light post. That’s how low it was. It wasn't moving, just there. So he didn't think too much about it. Maybe he just never noticed that street light before, so he drove up further and then the light is over on the other side of the car so he's like 'what the heck???

So he pulled over and turned off the car and got out and looked around. Nothing. Turned and there it was. Right behind him. Just lingering in the air. Silent. No lights. Then the lights went on, he said they looked like headlights. And it made a noise, he said he sounds like a V 8 (can you tell he's a car guy?) and then it was gone. He got in the car and drove the other 2 miles to our house. He sat in the car for a few minutes thinking of what he saw , and determined that he just temporary lost his mind.

So he got out of the car and the motion light went off. So he walked out to the road away from the house and stood in the road and the motion light went off and there it was again. Behind out house, just above the tree line. Bright light and it didn't make the V 8 noise until it started to move.

He took out his phone in hopes to get a picture, but when he flipped it open there were 2 black lines going down each side and it was frozen. He couldn't do anything to it. Then when he looked back up it was gone, but he could see it way up in the sky. Now this story coming from anyone else I would have my doubts. But there is no rational explanation. Helicopters linger but are noisy and create a wind. Planes move too fast even the hydro planes move; they don't linger in the sky. He literally had goose bumps for 2 hours. Id like to hear what you think about this. Submitted by Amy

    Rhode Island-Missile-Shaped Object
Cranston - November 14, 2007 Between 12-1 PM- I went outside for a smoke, as I was looking up in the sky I couldn't help notice some kind of object zooming pass by right through the clouds. A gray, missile-shaped object seemed to be heading in the north direction. The object all of a sudden just zoom right between my eyes in a diagonal pattern and then vanish.

From a distance the object seem smaller then it appeared but I'm guessing it might be the size of a garage. The movement of the object was very rapid, it just zoom right across the sky from mid-air going up, almost vertically but in a diagonal pattern. I'm sure this wasn't an airplane because airplanes doesn't move like this and it wasn't a jet because there is no military base around here. The color of the object was light gray almost blending in with the clouds but you could tell something was moving in the sky. The area where I saw the object was right next to an old factory and a railroad track. Sunny S. via UFO Casebook online reporting form

    Texas-Wishbone-Shaped Object
Dallas, TX on November 6, 2007, 6:30 PMComing home from work last week, I stopped in my backyard to star gaze for a few moments. It was a very clear, very dark night, just two days or so before new moon, and what little moon there wasn't yet visible. If my eyes hadn't been dark adjusted, I would never have seen the nearly invisible, wishbone-shaped craft directly overhead.

At a glance, I dismissed it as a thin wisp of cloud, but studying it further I realized it was very defined and symmetrical, a craft of some sort. It seemed relatively low and fairly large - between three and four fingers wide, with hand held at arm's length. It was completely silent and moved very, very steadily from North to South, with no shifting in the wind and no course correction, until it disappeared behind the trees. I ran inside to get my wife - we grabbed our three year old out of the bath, my wife holding our 9 month old, running out to the end of the street to try to find it, but it was gone. Total time of the siting was about 15 to 20 seconds.

    A few notes:

    1) The leading edge of the craft was the most visible part. It was shaped like a brace { or a stretched out wishbone. The body of the craft, if there was one, was darker and very hard to make out - it blended in with the black sky. I drew a picture of it that night, and the picture shows a body shaped much like a whale's tail, but even as I drew it, I knew that particular detail might be my brain filling in something I didn't actually see. The part I'm certain of is the wishbone leading edge.

    2) The craft was not illuminated internally. It was flying low enough to be lit only by the glow of city lights below, but high enough to still be nearly invisible.

    3) I live in the middle of the city, so I am of course near several air fields. But this craft had no blinking lights at all, nothing in the way of safety beacons.

    4) There were no other aircraft in the sky, and the neighborhood was very quiet. Just before the siting I heard a hawk shrieking far overhead, so the silence of the craft was very noticeable.

    5) I was the only witness I know of.

    6) I posted a link on Craigslist the next day to see if anyone knew what it was. I heard nothing back. If you want to check out the post, it's here: http://dallas.craigslist.org/vnn/471900663.html

    7) I wasn't planning on reporting this to anyone, until I read 11-2 Nebraska siting on your site, which was eerily identical to my sighting. That was enough to make me decide to say something. Reader submitted

I were standing outside in my balcony, suddenly I saw a black object at the horizon with no lights at the beginning, It was strange that appears suddenly, then an intense light produced by this object which was greater many times than the star's light, the object has a small like rectangle shape and the light were produced from the top of this shape and it looks like many lights I guess like three or four stars shining together.

No other witnesses. I did not see any other airplanes or helicopter. It was clear, and the sun had not risen yet. There were not any kinds of electromagnetic effects. No picture, No video. I do not confirm that this object is a UFO but the sudden appearance and disappearance accompanied with intense lights is unforgettable and odd to me. Submitted by "Bimo"

Two Men Claim Separate UFO Encounters on Same Day
    UFO UFO in Kearney, Nebraska?

Posted: Nov 9, 2007 08:30 AM CST-This week marked the anniversary of some out of this world occurences. It was 50 years ago, that this station reported an encounter with a spacecraft.

Back in 1957, a grain buyer known by the name of Reinhold Schmidt was driving through Kearney, when he claimed to have encountered German speaking "Saturnians from Saturn." Schmidt claimed they stalled his car, and took him aboard their cigar shaped spaceship. And now, 50 years later, Bob Ayres is a local resident still trying to piece the puzzle together.

"I believe he saw something, but I believe it was very possibly enhanced. The encounter that he had, he claims that he went aboard and talked to space people, and they told Schmidt about global warming," said Ayres.

So some say that Schmidt was a little crazy, but according to official documentation, he appeared to be just fine.

"They took him in for mental evaluation, and there was rumors that he was a little bit off. But I saw the report at the courthouse ten years later. And it said he passed his mental test, and seemed normal," explained Ayres.

But something not so normal about that time, was the fact that there was another encounter by a farmer that same day. The farmer's tractor stalled, and he apparently had strange time himself. Bob was lucky enough to interview the farmer's brother, and this is what he said.

"Well, he said, my brother had a strange experience out there at the same time."

So definitely some inconclusive evidence. But there are a couple things that we can look for some reasoning behind these reports.

"There were some movies that came out and I think it could have influenced a lot of things.

To me, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" comes to mind," said Ayres.

And the other thing that comes to mind, is of course a hoax.

"I'm going to think probably 90 percent. Because a lot of people aren't trained observers. And maybe some people drink I suppose." And needless to say, whether it did or did not happen, it is a good story.

Keith tells us that the Air Force went to the alleged location the very next day. And deemed the whole occurence a hoax.
