In here own words...

I'm 53 years old and at the time of this abduction I was in the sixth grade. It happened when I was a guest with some neighbors going to Calico Ghost town in Barstow. My friend's family consisted of her father, mother, and her 2 younger sisters. We left from Lancaster (Lancaster, CA is in Los Angeles County, near Mojave and Edwards Air Force Base) at approximately 9:30 or 10:00 that morning never to arrive at the ghost town.

My friend and I were asleep in the back of the station wagon. We were awakened by several bright lights, guns, and military vehicles surrounding us. It was now 10:30 at night.

One of the military people asked my friend's father to get out of the car. My friend Laura and I rubbed our eyes because of the bright lights shining on our faces through the back of the station wagon window. It seemed like I had been asleep for hours, I felt so, so groggy.

I remember the military men demanding to know how we got on the base. For some unknown reason to us, we were in the middle of an inactive live fire zone. I remember laying down going to sleep and when I awoke again we were back in Lancaster at home.

Editors note: The case seems to be somewhat empty here. I asked the witness about this, and she explained that there was missing space in time. None of the people in the car discussed what happened, it was just understood among them. Years later, Gloria began to paint pictures of "eyes," which she directly relates to her missing time and abduction. Her art has progressed to the point that she has won several awards recently.

Laura's father, who was like a "father of the year," later went crazy or something and had to be committed to an institution. I never knew what the diagnosis was.

It's funny, but we never talked about or mentioned not arriving at the ghost town for the fun filled day. It was something I never thought about much until I realized it was all coming out in my paintings.
