We live in South Africa [KZN-KwaZulu-Natal] Ifafa Beach. Saturday we planned to go out with some friends. As we drove home that night, we stopped close to the beach, took a blanket, and we just lay there and watched the stars. [The skies were clear]

As we were talking, I pointed to the sky and told my husband to look. A red object was shooting thru the sky. He told me that it was only a shooting star, but I was convinced it was something else, and I still believe this was something special. He dozed off while I was still watching the sky to see for myself if there were still flying objects.

These flying objects appeared out of nowhere, and disappeared just as quickly. I could not believe my eyes-these objects were appearing and disappearing at a rate so fast I stopped counting at 25. It looked like flaming birds. Let me explain.

The shape of these objects was like big flaming birds or birds that were on fire. I just lay there afraid to move. I was so moved by this, tears were rolling down my face. Eventually I fell asleep next to my husband. When we woke I told him how many red birds I saw. We are still speechless.

This all happened on the 29th of February, 2008, at Chelly Beach on the south coast KZN. What I saw looked exactly like the photos below. I did not take this picture, I found it on the net.
