We had been out on a warm summer night in August, lying at the beach of the river "Isar," some miles outside of Munich, Germany. There were four of us, two men and two women. I've lost contact with those people, but it would be possible to find out where they live nowadays.

One of the girls never had seen shooting stars and I told her just to lie on her back and stare into the sky. After a while she suddenly said: "Are these shooting stars?"

What we saw then was breathtaking: Three lights positioned in the shape of a triangle crossed the sky from west to east. There was something dark between the lights, similar to the sky, but blocking out the light of the stars while passing our view. This makes me think that we saw a flying triangle.

It was incredibly huge, and did not fly very high from our point of view. It is hard to describe, but it must have been 1 to 3 miles away from us. There was absolutely no noise. It was not too fast, just like a plane when it's going to touch down. But for a plane it was definitely too big.

There were no blinking lights at all. Only this three multicolored, yellow-orange, little red, and bluish shimmering lights on each corner. It was similar to the second photograph on this page. But the lights had not been as bright, and shimmered in different colors. It passed our view and vanished in the dust of the night.

I wonder, but we seemed to be the only ones who saw this thing. But because it was that enormously big, it is possible that you just didn't believe what you'd seen. We talked about what it could have been. We agreed that this could not have been a plane. Because the direction of its movement (west to east), I thought that this was kind of a secret military thing, going to Baghdad.

Otherwise - a military flying machine of that size has never been seen nor mentioned and would be a worldwide sensation if one could watch that by daylight.

Before this event, I had never heard about flying triangles in my live. This notion came to me several years later when I had a computer and an Internet connection. Later on, I decided to make an animation of the whole thing. I did several trials to match it. Could not animate the lights multicolored. At the end, it is not perfect but close to what we have seen.
