It may just be the sun setting. However, that same weekend a British newspaper ran a frontpage story which focused on a large number of UFO sighting in Scotland and England.

There seems to be a bluish tower or light above the orange orb. There also seems to be some distortion around the area.

The location was Oban on the west coast of northern Scotland, and was taken facing west over the sea. I wasn't aware of the object until I looked at the photos later in the week.
