On July 5, I received an email from a lady who lives in Pennsylvania. She was asking for help in identifying an unknown object which was seen in a photograph that her mother took of thunderstorm clouds on June 16, 2008. The photograph was taken at Millardsville Road, in Richland, PA, Lebanon County, in the late afternoon(4:00-5:00 PM).
Coincidently, I was in the process of corresponding with Bob Gardner, MUFON Field Investigator #12347, from Philadelphia, about a wave of recent sightings in his home state. I have shown the photograph to a couple of individuals who also study UFO photos, and I have received a couple of different opinions on what the object in question is. The most common ideas are that the object is a bird, debris blown by the winds, or a UFO. Bob was most interested in the photo, and it is being studied by others. I am making it public for the first time, and see if any photo experts or enthusiasts among our readers might want to offer an opinion. This report with photograph is being added to the ongoing investigation by MUFON in the Pennsylvania area. I have retained personal contact information for the photographer, if anyone would like to contact her. Serious inquiries only.
