On June 27, 2008, I was outside with my wife, and we were star gazing as we often do with the family. We noticed what appeared to be a bright, white star, just above the treeline, which was due East from my position.
We looked at it, and thought it to be Venus... well, until we saw movement. We both looked and thought we saw it make a slight bobble movement... up and down. I told my wife to go in and get the camera. We used a "Canon Power Shot SX100 IS." I think all of the shots were taken at full zoom. While we were setting up, we saw this object boble, and ascend another 20 degrees, and stop... wait a minute or two, and then bobble again, and rise another 20-30 degrees and stop again. We both speculated that we were seeing something that was not a plane of any conventional craft. The next thing we saw was this thing bobble again, and move toward us and stop... a few minutes later, it bobbled, moved toward us once more, and finally stopped. I can assure you that when we saw it moved toward us the second time we were just about to run... but then it stopped, and remained motionless until we went inside. Each night we have seen not exactly the same movement, but movement showing it ascend, and moreover once it is at a certain altitude, it moved toward our position. Our first shots were taken at 12:48 AM, until we stopped with the last shot at 1:29 AM. This was on the night of 06-27-08. We are located in the south-central United States.
