by Andrew Hirst, Huddersfield Daily Examiner A DEIGHTON woman spotted strange lights in the sky – and now wonders if anyone else saw what she thought could be a UFO.

Tracey Britton, 37, was walking near to Huddersfield Broad Canal near Deighton with boyfriend Ben Turnbull when she saw the lights in the sky in the direction of Kirkheaton at 7.10pm on Sunday.

She said: “I looked up in the sky and saw this bright light which was five times bigger than any star.

“As I looked it seemed to be to the left of Emley Moor mast and I was so amazed I even phoned my friend to go out and take a look.

“As I watched red lights came from it and zig-zagged from side to side. One went exceptionally quickly – faster than any aircraft.”

Tracey said at about the same time she spotted two bright white lights over Dalton – one low and one high.

It is the latest in a spate of sightings of strange lights over Huddersfield.
