THERE was something very strange in the skies above Grafton last month. Doug Moir was weeding the garden of his Sutton Street home on November 22, when he looked up and saw the strangest flying machine he'd ever seen. Mr Moir said the object had a similar shape to a plane, but was very different. There were no visible engines jet or propeller, no visible wheels or wheel compartments; and no visible cockpit. When the object began to turn, Mr Moir saw a fascinating display of colours, consisting of a blend of orange, red and yellow, on top of the wing. "It was out of this world. I'll never forget that painting. The sun was behind me too, so I had very good vision," he said. Adding to the mystery, Mr Moir said a small plane was following the mystery object; sitting about 100 feet above it and slightly behind. Surprised he didn't see any media reports about the mystery object in the ensuing days, Mr Moir paid a visit to the South Grafton Aerodrome; but the members there couldn't throw any light on the subject. Readers are encouraged to contact The Daily Examiner if they have any idea what the mystery object flying over Mr Moir's Grafton home that day could have been. permanent link: http://www.ufocasebook.com/2008c/dougmoir.html source & references: http://www.dailyexaminer.com.au/storydisplay.cfm?storyid=3792209 |
