Anomalous lights observed, and filmed over El Cajon, California

Some residents in El Cajon had their eye on the sky after spotting some bizarre lights. NASA did launch a satellite Monday night, but the flashes over the East County were spotted way before that.

Strange, colorful lights shine brightly from outer space at about the same time a NASA satellite crashes into the ocean after liftoff.

Sheer coincidence? Perhaps not.

(Editor's Note: The failed launch from Vandenburg AFB occurred at approximately 2:00 AM, according to NASA, but reports of the anomalous lights began as early at 1:20 AM, which would exclude the satellite debris as an explanation for the lights.)
