(Editor's Note: I research any and all UFO reports, but as many of you know, I love to search for old reports, especially those archived in newspapers, magazines, etc. I was thrilled recently when I received the following email from a reader.)

I was doing some family history research today and noticed this entry in a British newspaper article dated 1774 which I thought quite amazing.

The screen capture attached shows how to find the original document yourself… go to Google, then More, and select Google Books. Then enter the search term in the screenshot as entered there.

I believe the place “Annas near Ross” is in Scotland.

The item might be tricky to read until you realize that in those days they often wrote the letter “s” as an “f”, particularly the first of a double “ss” in this case “Rofs” meaning “Ross”.

I’m sure you will find this item as of much interest as I did!
