Bridlington, UK - 11-28-09

I have seen 3 strange lights in the sky. Around 5.20 PM on 28/11/09, I was talking to a friend outside my house on Sewerby Rd, Bridlington, when a light caught my eye in the night sky.

At first it looked like a light aircraft / helicopter with a headlight. It traveled quickly toward us as if it was going to fly over (maybe 5-6 hundred feet up) as it got closer it slowed to a near standstill & and then climbed very slowly (light traveled about a mile in 10 seconds, then climbed 800 feet over the next 3-4 minutes!)

It was dark so we couldn't be accurate with speed or distance. 30 seconds after the first light started to climb, a second light came along a little lower but same line & speed, followed closely by a third light a little higher again, same speed & line as the 2 before.

Now we watched as all three slowly climbed 3-4 minutes, then later disappeared into the cloud. All 3 were a yellow colour & if I were to hold a 20 pence piece up to compare, that's a rough size.

At all times no noise could be heard from them to give a clue as to the type of aircraft, but to best describe their movement they came across the sky like a fighter jet & climbed like a hot air balloon. I am sure they are not regular aircraft.
