New Mexico - 12-15-09

Driving east on Golf Course Road, I observed 3 orange glowing lights off to the southeast over the mesa that sits to the south over Mountain Air.

As I stopped to roll my passenger window down, a fourth and then fifth light appeared all in a straight line with maybe a slight arch to it.

Then they started to flicker out one at a time in the order they came on... it was a little after dusk and I could clearly see the line between the sky and the mesa, and they were in the sky... each one was easily as big as a house.

I must have been 2 or three miles away from them. It reminded me of the Phoenix Lights.

So I continued out to the highway and started into town and I saw it again in the same spot in the rear view mirror, but just for a second and just one of them. Then it disappeared.
