FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UFO SIGHTINGS ON THE RISE IN TENNESSEE
Real Paranormal Activity Brings UFO Hunters to the Mid-South
The skies over Tennessee have been very busy lately -- and we're not talking about typical air traffic.
That's right, UFO reports are on the rise throughout the state, with witnesses reporting craft ranging from classic flying saucers to floating spheres and large black triangular airships. "In the past 3 months alone, we've had nearly 30 witnesses from around the state come forward to report anomalous aerial vehicles." says Alyson Burgess, Director of Public Relations for the Tennessee Chapter of the Mutual UFO Network. "While Tennessee has a long history of UFO activity, the sheer volume of reports that we have received recently is enough to make any serious investigator sit up and take note."
The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is an international non-profit research organization whose mission is to conduct scientific investigations of UFO sightings for the benefit of humanity. The Tennessee chapter itself boasts an impressive membership that includes a total of 15 trained and certified Field Investigators, two of which are members of MUFON's Strike Team for Area Research, a special investigative unit deployed to process cases that involve UFO landing sites and other UFO events that include traces of physical evidence.
The recent wave of reports have caused many in the UFO community to set their sights on the Volunteer State. In fact, Tennessee MUFON will be hosting its first ever UFO conference this Saturday, December 5th, from 9am - 4pm at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Murfreesboro. Local UFO enthusiasts are not the only ones excited about the upcoming event -- renowned Canadian Ufologist and Nuclear Physicist Stanton Friedman will be flying in to hold a discussion on the scientific study of the UFO phenomenon.
The conference is open to the public, and in addition to Stanton Friedman's presentation will offer an array of credentialed guest speakers who will present information on astronomy, close encounters, and more.
Tickets for the event will be available at the door, and are $20 for the general public, $15 for MUFON members, and $10 for students and military personnel with valid ID. Additional event details can be found on the web at http://www.tnmufon.com.
Tennessee MUFON Director of Public Relations Alyson Burgess is available for interviews in and around the Nashville, Tennessee area. To schedule an interview, please call 615-294-8239.
