Sarajevo - 12-01-09

Tonight at 9:30 as I was driving my girlfriend home, both of us noticed a row of lights in the sky behind the airport. Mount Trebevic is a few miles behind the airport so the lights were in front of the mountain.

Jokingly I said that it must be a UFO, at which my girl scoffed and said it is probably a helicopter, and there are quite a few NATO helicopters flying around Sarajevo lately.

After I dropped her off, I went back and parked where I thought I had the best view, and I stood there and watched it do nothing for 15 minutes. It was just standing there, the lights flickering a little bit, again a straight line of anywhere between 5 and 10 lights.

I took a number of photos of which I am attaching a few (they mostly repeat), but sadly they have come out very poorly, since it was taken with my cell phone.

There was no noise that would make me think that it was a helicopter, not taking into account that it was perfectly immobile for 30 minutes (from the moment the two of us saw it to when I left since it was very very cold outside) I hope that there will be some sort of explanation for this tomorrow, or at least another sighting.

Since I stood there for 15 minutes I was playing with different modes on my cell's camera, so there is some difference in quality and color.
