My wife and I were traveling north on I-10 in the vicinity of Casa Grande, Arizona, about 40 miles south of Phoenix, at about 9:30 PM on August 15th, 2010.

We noticed a bright light that seemed to be hovering over Casa Grande, the west of our location, about 5 miles away. We watched it as we were driving for roughly 10 minutes, and thought it odd that it disappeared and reappeared several times.

It did not have any blinking lights associated with normal aircraft. We pulled over to get a better look, and it slowly moved away from us toward the west.

We watched it for another 10 minutes, until it disappeared over the mountains to the west, which were about 40 miles away from our location.

During this time, it disappeared and reappeared several more times. The sky was overcast, but the cloud ceiling seemed way higher than the object appeared.

Honestly, it wasn't that exciting, but it was odd and I thought I would report it anyway.
