Dallas UFO Examiner, Doc Vega

According to the UFO Casebook, their files seem to indicate that February of the last three years has turned out to be a banner month for UFO sightings in Dallas as well as Texas.

During the month of February 2009 there were 40 reported UFO events. Back in 1952 during an unprecedented wave of sightings nationwide, such concentrations of sightings were called "flaps".

This term was used by the US Air Force as well as such well known authors of the paranormal as John Keel.

A large number of UFO sightings reported over a particular region or even across the country over a short period of time constitutes a "flap".

For the three years prior to 2010, the state of Texas has apparently been under siege from the skies above as UFOs have been sighted and reported to such agencies as MUFON, NUFORC, and CUFOS. These civilian agencies have put together a set of time tested, professional, methods of debriefing witnesses and recording the details that will provide useful data with which to analyze the origin of or trends in sightings.

These non-military organizations have two particular figures in UFO history to thank for the quality of reporting criteria that they now use. Dr. J.Allen Hynek and Captain Edward J. Ruppelt both contributed greatly to the improvement of UFO data gathering during their respective tenures in Project Blue Book.

Let's get back to February of 2010. From a period spanning 25 days in that month, no less than 40 UFO sightings took place and were documented. Two of these events involved the Dallas area. I will describe the somewhat sketchy nature of these two bizarre reports.

It is amazing how this number of witness reported UFO sightings can occur and be completely overlooked by the mainstream news media, but that's our news agencies for you.

If it's not violent, does not involve a crisis, has nothing to do with a celebrity, or cannot become political spin than this news is of no interest to our opportunistic liberal journalists.

Monday on February 16, 2009 an unidentified aerial object crashes into a field in Dallas and ignites a brush fire. There was speculation that it was satellite debris although there was no corroborating data from NORAD headquarters.

That following Sunday February 22, 2010 several observers report seeing a UFO near ground level in close proximity to a high voltage tower. There are no more details on that, but there have been many historic sightings of UFOs flying along power lines.

Some have speculated that these mysterious crafts are capable of drawing electricity from these installations.

It is interesting to note that during the great black out of 1966 in New York City as well as several other towns that were tied to the massive electrical grid that stretched from Canada to the US, UFOs were reported.

This information was kept secret by authorities trying to maintain law and order as citizens experienced paralyzing power shortages, endured panic, and even looting.

In the midst of people groping in darkened shut off elevators, trapped on subways, and stuck in blacked out office buildings, UFOs were seen hovering along power lines.
