Lanzarote Island - 03-03-10

While on holiday in Lanzarote early this year, my wife took some snapshots from the balcony overlooking the beach, to show our children and grandchildren the view from the apartment. On arriving home to England, I connected the camera a Canon Power Shot A480 to the TV to view the images taken on holiday.

This is when I spotted this anomaly on the attached photograph. (Date and time of photograph 03/03/10 17:26)

The object is situated on the left hand side of the photograph just above the horizon. I would like to remain anonymous.

Note: Lanzarote, a Spanish island, is the easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 125 km off the coast of Africa.
