Maryland - 01-20-10

I waited until this morning (1/21/2010) to post the sighting because I wanted to verify I wasn't seeing lights from a helicopter or an antenna tower.

On the morning of the 20th January 2010, between mile marker 20 and 19 (heading westbound), I noticed 3 lights in a triangle formation slightly off to the left of the eastbound lanes of Route 50.

They were approximately 100 feet above the treeline and stationary. I could see no visible marker or beacon lights. The lights were bright enough to see clearly through the cloud cover.

I'm not sure how long it was there, but I witnessed it for approximately 3 minutes approaching, and from the driver's side mirror as I continued west toward Davidsonville, MD.

Weather 1/20/2010: cloudy w/slight rain/winter mix

I really think I need to start carrying a camera in my vehicle.
