My wife, sister, her husband and I were sitting by the camp fire all facing west at 10:50 PM.
We all saw this intense brilliant (white) light in the western sky, then it appeared to turn to the left, began dimming and headed north.
We lost sight of it a few seconds later.
Exactly 10 minutes later, the same thing happened again and that was the last time we saw it.
This appears to be just like the report from Colorado the same night, posted on this site.
This wasn't a landing light from an aircraft, and we have no military planes in the area. The light appeared to be at least as far up as satellites travel.
We thought it could have been the space station, but it happened twice in the same spot.
What could this have been? We discussed it for a long time, and didn't come to the conclusion that it was a UFO, but who knows? The moon was a little more than half and this light was much more brilliant than the moon and about 1/8 the size, so it was very
large.
Any ideas, let me know.
