TERRITORY workers are preparing to fight off the alien invasion. Staff at Darwin's KK Electrical are leading the way.
They have armed themselves with sledge hammers, bolt cutters and fire extinguishers. And they've even donned anti-abduction headgear.
One of the resistance fighters, Nat Kernich, said the staff were horrified when reading about an alien invasion in the Northern Territory News last week.
"We take all alien invasion stories seriously," he said.
The invasion scare followed flares being seen along a 360km stretch of the Territory coast.
Weather experts said the lights were caused by a meteor shower.
But highly trained UFO-ologists said it was clearly a scouting mission before a full-scale invasion.
