New Zealand - 10-23-09

I was reading an article on your site last week and someone spoke of bright coloured lights in the water.

It had come to mind when I was white baiting last October, 2009, in the Avon River, Christchurch City, Canterbury South Island, New Zealand around the Kers Reach, area a section of the Avon (RIVER), I was getting down to the river for a popular spot for fishing about 3 - 3:30 each morning, and something unusual occurred.

I was situated in my car drinking coffee and having the odd cigarette, and I could see from one end of the river in front of me and as far at the back of me of the river which was good for anyone sneaking up on me in a urban area of crime these days, as one never knows.

It's peaceful at this hour as you can see and feel change in life form, like the breeze of the trees, cars, ducks on the water, and so forth.

I looked ahead of me, and about 600-800 meters away I saw two, bright, green fluorescent or neon lights, and they were moving towards me. They were crossing each other's paths like two snakes trying to cross each other's paths up a stick. Then they became one, and then it vanished.

To be honest I have no idea what they were, and I was quite confused and thought I was seeing things. I study the river and know every bird and duck and movement in my place of the river being I would spend hours and hours there every day at Baits worth a mint in New Zealand.

Previously I had seen all types of ducks and birds and whatever one could imagine on the river, and not yet had I seen such brightness and it was the neon colour that got me. The only light I had seen like this was in a shop or the glow sticks kids have these days.
