There have been two more sightings of a UFO in the sky over Oldland Common this week. Two men have revealed what they saw on the website of UFO Disclosure UK.
Their statements follow sightings of UFOs above Oldland on New Year’s Eve.
In his witness statement Shaun Harris tells how he and his children saw a bright light moving silently across the sky on Tuesday of this week between 9.15pm and 9.30pm, and that it was unlike anything he had ever seen before.
“My two kids and I witnessed a bright orange light move soundlessly across the sky. The object appeared to be propelled and under intelligent control, i.e. not a Chinese lantern. There were no lighting arrays to suggest conventional aircraft and no audible propulsion system.
“About 15 minutes later the same (I presume) object appearing lower and brighter came from a different direction and passed overhead and curved round and away. It was moving at a steady consistent speed. I have never seen anything like it.”
Another Oldland resident Ian Butterfield writes: “We too saw the orange/red ‘glow’ move effortlessly across the Oldland Common night sky.
“Being in the landing path of Bristol airport we did think it was an aeroplane ending its journey, until an aeroplane did come in to view. No comparisons could be made.”
Last month Oldland Common man Chris Lacey saw what he described as an “orangey/red flying object” moving swiftly across the sky on New Year’s Eve.
At the time he said: “It then stopped and changed direction; at this point two more of these objects appeared and flew towards the other. They then all moved off in different directions steadily but swiftly.
“These lights were definitely not planes or helicopters as the movements were too smooth and the speed they changed direction was too fast. They were not typical aircraft and neither were they Chinese lanterns.”
Another couple who live in the area also came forward after reading Mr Lacey's story on Kingswood People to say they had seen the same lights.
