A MYSTERY orange fire-like globe floating in the night sky above Edmonton has triggered a UFO report.

The woman contacted the Journal to report that she saw the object from her garden in Bulwer Road, Edmonton, at 11.50pm on August 7, but has asked not to be named for fear of ridicule in her job.

She said: "It was an orange ball, like a ball of fire, it came from the north west straight over my garden towards the east, not a sound. It wasn't moving particularly fast, but it was definitely propelled, it wasn't floating. It was like nothing I've ever seen."

The sighting comes hot on the heels of similar reports in Muswell Hill, where there have been five reports of unidentified flying objects in the last two years - three describing red or orange bright lights.

The last was on July 28 this year when a man saw a red and orange light moving from north to east across the sky and it prompted the latest caller to go public.
