Utah - 06-18-10

I was in my car traveling east on 2100 South. I looked up and saw a small, silver/white object to the east traveling west directly toward me.

I thought it might be a plane, then it stopped. I pointed it out to my wife and children. I was very curious about it since it just stopped.

It was almost directly above us. It was quite high and difficult to determine its size. I did not have a camera or binoculars. We watched it for a few minutes from the car.

We kept driving on and it stayed stationary. It may have been a mylar balloon, however, it moved very briskly and steadily then stopped.

We all agreed it was very odd.

It was perfect day with ideal visibility. Would like to know if anyone else observed this, directly over SLC at around noon.
