Tennessee - 01-15-10

I had just gone out on my back deck to smoke. It starts getting dark here around 5:30 and this was after 7:00, so it was already dark outside.

I was looking at all the airplanes in the sky. I live near an airport so they are bountiful around here.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a very bright, disc-shaped object to the right of the sky. When I caught sight of it, it was so bright and traveling so fast, I knew it wasn't a plane.

It went northeast in a straight completely horizontal line and almost instantly, it was poof, gone. It totally disappeared.

I watched for about 7 seconds total. I stood outside and searched the skies for about 5 more minutes, hoping it would return. I felt such an overwhelming feeling of awe and awareness... I have always believed without proof, and now I have it.
