Friendship, Arkansas - 12-24-80

On Christmas Eve, 1980, somewhere around 10:00 - 10:30 PM, I was putting Santa's presents under our tree.

When I stood up, a large luminous orange ball outside the house, drifting horizontally caught my eye through a window. I walked to the window, pulled aside the sheer curtain and pressed my face to the window.

When I did that, this object zoomed up to the outside of the window. I was so shocked; I dropped the curtain and went into another part of the house where two of our teenaged sons were still awake. They told me I looked like I had seen a ghost, and I said that I thought I had!

Then I told them what I had seen, and they went outside to look. They did not see anything. When the being was face to face with me, I could see an oval (face?) that narrowed to look like a small, kind of pointy chin.

There appeared to be black holes where eyes should be, and they were slanted. I do not recall seeing any sign of a nose. I believe there was a small black hole where a mouth would be.

Since I believe there are demons roaming the earth (this is Biblical), and I sensed evil, I convinced myself that that was what it was.

My husband and a third son were in bed, and when I told them about it, they laughed at me.

A couple of nights later at around the same time of night, I heard a bang from the front built-in porch where the third son maintained his bedroom. Suddenly, he burst through the door, saying, “I’m sorry I laughed at you. Your orange ball just drifted the length of my room and disappeared.”

His bed was up against a window sill where he kept his clock. When he heard the bang, he pulled down the covers (he slept with his head covered up, there was no heat in the room), and saw the "orange ball.

When he jumped out of bed, he discovered his clock on the floor by his bed. It had flown (?) over his bed, and he thought that was what shook the (old) house.

About 6-7 years later, my daughter was watching TV and yelled for me to come there. She was watching a program about UFOs and had seen a picture of an alien which matched my description of what I had seen.

That was the first time I had ever seen a picture like that. If you can make any sense out of this, please let me know.
