Fullerton, California - 07-22-12

I was in my bedroom when I noticed an odd and fuzzy-looking object in the sky (south of my location in Fullerton) close to Fullerton airport.

I am an aerospace engineer, and at first I assumed it was a helicopter hovering over the airport. However, the flashing red lights on top and bottom of the vehicle and the shape of the object were odd.

I grabbed my 10x50 binoculars and looked at the object. I could not believe what I saw... two triangular domes on top and bottom connected by a cylinder.

It was greyish/silver color and was hovering and very slowly moving west.

I watched it for 20-30 minutes, and also t took a picture but it was too far for my lens (75mm).

I did not have enough time to set up my telescope and take a better picture.
