Modesto, California - 08-12-12

Last night I was sitting outside in my backyard on a lounge chair. I closed my eyes and nodded off, then I suddenly jolted awake and saw a UFO above me, a little towards the south.

It was moving very slowly towards the southeast: I mean it was moving so slowly that it could not have been an aircraft as it would have crashed for lack of airspeed. It made no sound.

There was a white light in the center, and to the front of this light was a dull orange hull that was shaped like a horseshoe.

There was no wind, the sky was clear. The UFO was not too far up, perhaps about 250 feet.

I did not have a camera, but I did make a drawing which closely resembles what I saw.
