Pennsylvania - 07-22-12

I was gazing at high-soaring vultures in a mostly sunny sky from a porch in Point Pleasant.

Facing due south at a patch of blue sky, I saw a jet heading south. I was wearing dark aviator sunglasses.

The jet, I assumed to be commercial, left 4, dissipating contrails (about 3" at arm's length). The actual jet was hardly visable, just a smudge.

Minutes later I saw a vividly clear; dart/cigar shape; silver/chrome highly reflective object seemingly tracking the jet.

The oject appeared to be huge, approximately 1/2" at arm's length, and moved at extremely high speed. I heard the faint roar of the jet, but no sound from object.

The "dart" seemed to appear then vanish.

Observation duration was 1 second. I actually stood up to reaquire visual, but it was gone.
