Hovering Lights Observed over Pacific in San Diego, California
UFO Depiction
Published: 8:38 AM 7/2/2014

San Diego, California - 07-01-14

My husband and I were laying on the beach on a blanket around 2 AM in Mission Beach, San Diego, CA. We were snuggling and conversing when I noticed on the horizon (looking towards the ocean) a red light appear suddenly.

Then I noticed a few other colored lights attached to the same object; white and amber. The lights were blinking.

At first I thought it was a ship on the horizon. However, after blinking for about 20 seconds, all of the lights disappeared suddenly. I thought that maybe this ship had sailed too far to the west over the horizon that I could no longer see it.

A few minutes later, these lights appeared suddenly again. They blinked for a good 20-30 seconds and disappeared suddenly again.

Over the course of about 15 to 20 minutes, this happened a total of four times. The first three times, the lights appeared in the same location and didn't move much, but rather seemed to hover.

On the last occurrence we noticed that these lights were moving rapidly to the south. In an attempt to think logically about what this could possibly be, my husband and I concluded that a ship that far in the distance couldn't possibly cover that much distance at that high of speed.

After the lights traveled south for about ten seconds, they disappeared altogether. We continued to observe this area for another 30 minutes but the lights never reappeared.

We reasoned that there was no other explanation for what we saw other than that it had been a UFO.
