Flashing Light Show Riddle Needs Solving
UFO Depiction
Published: 3:41 AM 2/18/2014

JACK Wright, 15, of Elermore Vale, saw a UFO last week. Don’t give us that look. It stands for Unidentified Flying Object – here, we’ll let Jack tell it.

‘‘On Tuesday, February 11, at approximately 9.55 pm I was sitting out the front of my house when I spotted a strange weird flashing red light in the northern sky,’’ says Jack.

‘‘Around this light were about five white lights – similar to stars – and they seemed to be moving with this red light.’’

So a flashing red light, surrounded by five white lights. Go on, Jack.

‘‘These lights were visible under the cloud cover, it was a full moon and every five seconds the light would come back – but after the 20th time it flashed, it disappeared,’’ he says.

‘‘I’m not sure how big this light was or even its proximity to me as I had no reference point. After the light disappeared I went back inside, tried to get some sleep but heard a weird hovering sound, lasting five to 10 seconds.’’

Anyone know what Jack might’ve witnessed? Was this first contact, a remote-control drone, JQ flight 674 or something else?
