(Editor's Note: Evidently, this sighting over Houston is the next 'big' thing in Ufology.
I have put together some various reports, hoping to bring the most pertinent info, pics and video to light. Keep in mind that statements by so-called 'experts' are solicited very quickly; before all of the facts and media are presented, and often refer to
one photo and not the preponderance of the evidence.
Patience is a virtue here, it will take some time to see where all of this leads and possibly a final solution.)

UFO Sighted During Rainstorm over Houston Sky
While the existence of aliens and UFOs is still a debatable subject, many people claim of have witnessed these. Lately, Twitter is abuzz with pictures of an apparent UFO hovering over the US city of Houston during a stormy night.
The images, shot on 11 August, show a circular object with blinking lights floating over Houston sky during a rain storm.
The dramatic pictures appear nothing short of a Hollywood thriller, as in one image, the object appears to be protruding from the
thunderous clouds and in another, the oval object appears to stand on its side with an impressive light show, KPRC News reported.
"I think the trick in UFOs is figuring out what else they could be. It's easy to say that could be the aliens," Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the
Houston Museum of Natural Science told KPRC News.
Sumners didn't deny the possibility of an unidentified flying object but said more investigation is needed to figure out the real identity of
"If it's a real object and it looks like it is. The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it
is, what it is and see if we can explain it.
"All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting," she added.
The incident has the locals talking about the unusual extraterrestrial phenomena and many has turned up to Twitter to express their
Twitter is humming about a YouTube video and some photos that may or may not show UFOs over Houston.
The images were shot Aug. 11 during a rain storm with dramatic thunder and lightning, and they have been reposted and cited many
times. The video was shot from a moving car, and the photos may be screenshots from the video.
On Friday, Twitter posts with some version of the phrase, "Mass UFO Sighting Over Houston Texas Lights Up Social Media" were still
They ranged in tone from the straightforward to philosophical to tongue-in-cheek: "itís my birthday and there have been UFO sightings all
over Houston. Coincidence? I think not."
Another commenter said, "UFO over Houston? Just NASA." That prompted this reply: "NASA has successfully built a flying saucer."
A local expert on UFO sightings said this one could be easily explained.
Fletcher Gray, the volunteer chief investigator for the Texas chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON, said the mysterious
circle of lights was a reflection of highway lights since the video was shot through a car window.
"It's no more than light trapped in the side window," said Gray, noting that he was curious about the source of the photos. (Editor's Note: This may be true about this one photograph, but it does not explain all of the photos and video.)
Whatever might explain the video and photos, the notion that mystery spacecraft are visiting our planet is one that can provoke debate:
You either believe in UFOs or you don't. What about you?
