Did anyone see silent and still UFO changing colour... ?
I was intrigued to read the recent account of an alleged UFO reported on November 27.
I myself experienced the following and I feel it worth sharing with readers.
It was on Tuesday November 8 at 7.25pm.
I was facing south at the top of Freshfield Place.
In the night sky, relatively low was a bright light. It was gently pulsing and changing as it did so, from white, yellow and red.
“A plane,” I thought, no. It was perfectly stationary.
“A helicopter,” no there was no disturbance or sound to indicate this. Such a vehicle from where it was would have been audible. It was not a pyrotechnical display. It was perfectly still and silent.
Its most curious feature was a small red light directly beneath it.
This was slowly travelling down from the major illumination in a direct line. I had the impression (but that is all I can say) that it was being lowered from a cable with what’ve was at its end lit in red.
I moved towards the lower ornamental gate of Queens Park to get a better view.
Although conditions were misty, it was vividly bright. Others were going about their business so they must have seen it too. I saw it for any number of minutes and then went my way in puzzlement.
When employing a term such as UFO it inevitably conjures up associations with nuts and bolts spacecraft operated by denizens from Uranus.
However, the term UFO has a broad range of meanings and UFO literally means only that, an unidentified flying object.
That is one of the reason why the acronym UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) which is perhaps more accurate, has crept into usage.
I cannot claim that my experience, as it stands, offers any sort of confirmation that there is life beyond our solar system, or in fact it is capable yet of constructing vehicles of interstellar travel. Least of all that such life has contacted earth. I am personally agnostic about all these concepts.
I do not doubt that a conventional explanation will present itself in due term, and if any of the citizens of our city can enlighten me as to what this was, I would greatly appreciate it.
