What is the truth behind Hilary's Llanelli experience?
A WOMAN has spoken of two possible alien encounters during visits to the Llanelli area.
Hilary Porter was interviewed by the Swansea UFO Network about her experiences, one dating from 1970 and a second in 2009.
She speaks of feeling increasingly uneasy during her visit to the town and across to the Gower, and having experienced a mysterious swelling to her eye when she woke up, without any explanation.
It followed a previous visit to the area where time went missing while she was driving along the M4, something which is frequently mentioned by people claiming to have been involved in abductions.
Emlyn Williams of the Swansea UFO Network interviewed Ms Porter and said the group was "collecting and investigating cases from the south-west Wales area".
"We have many from the Llanelli area," he said.
"Something is indeed happening - has been for many years, and is still ongoing.
"Most UFO sightings go unreported because of the worry the witnesses have of being ridiculed, but many are coming forward to us, attending meetings or sending emails.
"We also organise regular sky-watches which are fun and conducive to good conversation.
"We are planning a website which will be on-line in the new year, on which all the cases we have collected will be posted.
Note: Llanelli, the largest town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales, sits on the Loughor estuary on the West Wales coast, approximately 10 miles (16 km) west-northwest of Swansea and 12 miles (19 km) south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town is famous for its proud rugby tradition and is a centre of tinplate production. (wikipedia)
