A MAN in Measham has reported a UFO sighting...
By Burton Mail
The resident submitted the report after he apparently saw lights moving around the sky.
In the statement, sent to the Mutual UFO Network UK, the resident who wished to remain anonymous said: "I went into my back garden to smoke a cigar.
"As usual, I sat by my garden table and looked up at the stars.
How many times have planes been scrambled to intercept UFOs above Burton in the last 10 years?
"It was a very clear night, I could see no visible clouds at all, only stars, and I noticed a light moving across the sky.
"The light did not sparkle or glisten at all and seemed slightly larger than a normal satellite as seen by the naked eye, but not by much.
"After a few seconds of watching the light it stopped perfectly still in the sky, almost blending in with the rest of the stars.
"Maybe 15 seconds or so later, the light very slowly began to split out into three separate lights, all of the same size, brightness and colour.
"They seemed different to any other stars in the sky, a little bigger and slightly brighter.
"Then suddenly all three lights began to move again. Each light traveled in a different direction, the 'original' light heading North, one South East and one South West.
"They were fast. I eventually lost sight of them behind nearby trees and houses."
