a craft of typical disc shape...
Myself and 3 of my friends experienced seeing a UFO whist camping out in a old disused quarry overlooking Wingerworth and Chesterfield.
It was 1988; I was 15 years old. I have to say it's up there with my kid's birth. I've never seen one since or before.
We were all looking out on a summers night over Wingerworth and Chesterfield; it was roughly my 10:30 pm, it was dark.
The reason we did this was to see the spectacular lights from the streets, but we were in for a shock; up in the air was a craft of a typical disc shape, self illuminated as though it was light itself.
It was 300 to 400 feet up and was moving very slowly and without a sound, it had port holes allaround it, I'd say size-wise it would be 60 to 100 feet long, the size of a small airliner easily.
It went through the air for 20 seconds before there was a spectrum of light and it just went as though it went into the speed of light. I've never forgotten this spectacular event; it was undoubtedly a UFO, no plane, no jet or helicopter.
It was as clear as day, it's so frustrating when I hear scientists saying it's impossible due to distance that a planet that could have life, because I know we are not alone.
