These were not normal A/C red and green lights...
A Valley Center couple, the O’Connors may have seen UFO’s moving about the sky over Valley Center Saturday night.
Denis L. O’Connor told The Roadrunner: “I don’t know what they were, but my wife and I saw about six lighted objects moving in the sky above the Valley Center area last night (27 Mar 2016) at about 7:30 p.m.”
O’Connor added, “They were bright lights moving from the north to the south and then turned east and went out of sight. These were not normal A/C red and green lights. Took a couple of pictures with my phone. Moving at a pretty good clip that does not resemble small planes or helicopters.”
The retired major concluded, “I have no idea what they were, so I call them UFOs. Which to me is what they are until someone can explain them. Maybe you will hear from others.”
The most recent UFO sighting in this area occurred last November 24 when several Pauma Valley residents living just north of Valley View Casino reported seeing a UFO, described as “a green orb” fly over Pauma Valley with much slower U.S. Marine helicopters giving chase.
Before that a UFO was reported in Valley Center was April 29, 2012. The object was described as a “Large bright rectangle light moving fast.”
Valley Center and Pauma Valley has a history of UFO sightings, with the first of the famous “UFOologists,” George Adamski, having been based on Palomar Mountain and in Valley Center in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
During World War II Adamski was an air raid warden, keeping his eyes trained on the skies looking for enemy aircraft!
Adamski was credited by many with giving birth to the UFO phenomena in the late 1940s. He claimed that he encountered aliens from Mars, Saturn and Venus. He had a large group of disciples and maintained a “commune” on Valley Center Road.
He also had a cafe on Palomar Mountain called Palomar Gardens, which exists today as Oak Knoll Campground.
