Unfinished Business
Last week, we discussed the controversy over the strange case of Dr. Jonathan Reed. A good friend of mine, Allen McGee who is founder and National Director of the United States UFO Information and Research Center, has come under fire lately for including Dr. Reed as a speaker in an upcoming conference. I know that Allen is honest and genuine in his search for the truth, so I contacted him to get his side of the story. His reply to me is below:

Thank you for your feedback and I understand what you're saying wholeheartedly...
In retrospect, I simply want to know this guy's story for myself... Everyone deserves the same opportunity to decide what is truth for themselves and not to have it fed to them from someone higher up the political ladder...
Although we maintain a position of neutrality on the information those interested in speaking at our conferences present there will be no censorship, or ridicule at any conference or public awareness event we host...
Finally, I may not agree with what they are saying, but the constitution gives us all the right to express our ideas openly and freely and anyone with a brain and good common sense knows that he don't just take someone's word for it... You must look into matters of concern closely to determine and examine all evidence before making any conclusions...
Perhaps AFTER hearing this gentlemen speak, those present with us at the conference can decide for themselves to pursue further investigation of the man and his claims... Until they hear his story for themselves they have no reason to believe, or disbelieve... Besides... I find it curious that so many people are trying there BEST to make this guy look bad... Makes me wonder...

The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is the scientific discipline of searching for electromagnetic evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations. SETI has received a lot of attention recently due to the SETI@home project. The SETI@home project has shown that at least several hundred thousand individuals are willing to dedicate computer resources to the search for alien radio signals.

The search continues..the hope that some distant civilization just happens to be interested in getting a message from Planet Earth. This is all well and good, however, this could be a case of not seeing the forest for the trees. Are we searching too far for that first signal? Some investigators think so. Are the UFOs all nuts and bolts craft, or are they also energy or light sources that silently slip from their dimension into ours? Some propose that we have already been contacted, and maybe we just didn't know it. Could contact be in a form beyond our understanding? Or, could we have already been sent messages from another intelligence in a form that we did not recognize?
The 1950s saw the coming of the Space Brothers, a super-intelligent group of beings who just dropped by whenever they wanted to, like your mother-in-law might. The pioneer of this movement was George Adamski, who claimed to be a chosen one. He took (according to him) numerous jaunts into space, visiting many of our planets. He was mostly known for his relationship with the Venusians, a nordic race of beings. Adamski took extraordinarily clear photos of craft from other planets. Unbelievably, he developed a huge following, a cult, as it were. What were these ill-informed individuals looking for? Today, of course, the whole Adamski movement is regarded as pure bunk. And it was. However, some eyes were opened, and now we are more open minded. We just have to be tuned in to the right station. Let's look at a couple of cases in which alien contact may have already occurred.

On 8th January, 1971, Greater London Radio featured a phone-in on the subject of UFOs. At 9.10pm, a caller announced in a cold, metallic voice that he was speaking from outer space. A guest of the phone-in was the late ufologist and theosophist, Rex Dutta, who compiled the transcript given below.
Assistant Producer: Why are you calling us?
Extraterrestrial: I have not phoned you, I am speaking by thought-transference guided by computer.
AP: What does that mean?
ET: It means how do you do.
AP: Very well. How do you do, Sir?
ET: Yes. Evidence of life in outer space is not visible to Earth eyes except the chosen few who have celestial ability to appertain and to appreciate higher intelligences.
AP: How does the planet Earth rate in your experience? Are we reasonably well developed?
ET: Planet Earth is in for a very difficult time, spinning very fast, making heads of men go round too quickly and think too much about silly little problems. But I think that long-term prospect for Earth is relatively good.

Southern TV, 1977

One alleged alien message that was heard by thousands of people occurred on November 26, 1977. The Southern TV group owned and operated 5 different transmitters, which used UHF and VHF frequencies. During a news broadcast by reporter Ivor Mills, suddenly a booming voice took over the audio portion of the program. Mr. Mills filled the on screen video transmission.
The alien sounding voice began:
"This is the voice of GRAMAHA, the representative of the ASTA Galactic Command speaking to you. For many years now, you have seen us as lights in the skies. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet. We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your world... and the beings around you...
The voice continued with its warm, yet firm warnings about nuclear war, living in harmony, and more.
Naturally, Southern TV denounced the intrusion as a prank, although the station was not able to regain control of the audio for 5 1/2 minutes. Was this really a voice from space, or a takeoff of an "Outer Limits" episode of a similar scenario? Had this been a hoax, it would have been an expensive one, and although there was an extensive investigation into the matter, no one was ever brought into custody for the offense.

Oxfordshire, 1980

David Packham and his mother Edith were watching TV at their Wolvercote, Oxfordshire home one November night in 1980 when a whining sound came from the set. The noise was like that made by an electric motor and it grew louder and louder until it reached a deafening pitch. Despite the racket, the picture remained clear.
Mrs Packham put her hands over her ears as David began to turn the volume control on the TV in an attempt to silence the relentless din. The noise was so loud that David was convinced the set was going to explode. He turned down the volume, leaving the set on. David drew back the curtains and peered outside to see what might have caused the noise.
There was nothing in the street. Then he raised his eyes to the sky - and stared in amazement. "I saw a round, bright-green, light hovering over Port Meadow some 800 yards away and about 400 yards high," he recalled.
"I went outside for a clearer view and watched for about ten minutes. There was no noise, just total silence. "It slowly began to move to my right for some 200 yards, hovered there for a few minutes then returned to its original place. "I went back inside and called my mother at the window and after about five minutes the light began to move directly away from us - gathering speed at an unforgettable rate. It climbed in an arc away from me. In less than a split second it was a mere speck in the stars and was soon lost to view. "We turned the sound on the TV back to its original setting and at first the noise was s till there - but it gradually faded away back to normal."

Going the other way

John Otto of Canada, who claimed many close encounters with UFOs, once used the facilities of radio station WGN in Chicago in an attempt to make contact with extraterrestrials. During his 1954 experiment, conducted with the assistance of station engineers, the WGN 50kW transmitter beamed out a request for alien listeners to cut in on the station's signal during a specified 15 second period.
Although station employees and listeners heard only silence, four members of the public reported hearing some noise during the event. One of these had recorded something which resembled the sound of shortwave teletype code transmission. Otto obtained a copy of the recording, which was subsequently broadcast on several radio and television programs.
Shortly after, the original recording was handed over to a man who claimed to work for "National Security" and with links to the CIA. Both the man and the tape later disappeared, along with the results of any analysis. This operative, who called himself DeMelt E Walker, was later identified as an Air Force officer, although his true identity was never known.

UFO captured on Video in Istanbul

While filming lightening scenes on his amateur camera in Anadolu Hisari, Istanbul, Mr. Saffet Sap, a 42 years old electrical engineer and his sister Serpil Sap managed to capture an unusual shaped UFO on their video camera.
Mr. Sap explained the images he filmed on his camera as follows.
“On the 26th of May at around 18.30 pm I was filming lightening sceneries on my amateur camera. I was looking towards the North from the window in my house when I saw a strange motionless object in the sky, at a distance of about 2 km; at Anadolu Hisari. At first I thought it was either a kite or a plane. Then the stationary object in the sky started to ascend in the air. It had about 7-8 legs. There were green, yellow and red lights flashing on top of the object. Green smoke was also emitted from the underneath towards the rear of the object. The object moved overhead and followed a very linear path towards the north”
After hovering for a while , unknown object started departing slowly behind a hill while leaving a greenish trail behind it. The witnesses watched it until it went out of site. The entire episode lasted for about 3.5 minutes..
They immediately took the 3.5 minute recording to us at Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Center. The film was investigated by us and after all the necessary analysis, a press conference was organised to announce the conclusion.
Our chairman Mr. Haktan Akdogan presented the images of the object to the media at a large press conference that was held at our Center. The images of the UFO, shown at the Center, amazed the media specially when they saw how close up and clear it was. Images of the object which last about 3.5 minutes were broadcasted at several national TV channels prime time news and it was also published in many national newspapers few days ago.
The video film of this unidentified flying object observed in Anadolu Hisari skies has been analyzed in detail by us and the results has been disclosed to and published and broadcasted by the national press.
The results of this analysis is summarized as follows:
The proximity of the object reveal that this object was inside the atmosphere, hovering about 1500 - 2000 meters above the ground. The unusal shaped UFO appeared to have a row of round portals (maybe 10 of them) around the outer edge, but they were not lit up.
When the video images were enlarged by computer at special assembly studios, it was observed that the object was scattering around lights in various colors yellow, red , purple… At close-ups, one can see that time to time the object is rotating around its own axis-It was also found out that the objects stood stationary time to time and hovered in the sky and then started moving again, which challenges the laws of gravity.
In contrary to aircraft and similar aerial devices, this object did not make any sound and exhibit an advanced technology, which is not to be worldly. The characteristics of the object mentioned above do not fit any category of conventional aerial devices like satellite, aircraft, helicopter, air balloon or meteor.. The features of this object clearly show that the object is by no means an atmospheric or natural phenomenon. Likewise, it is not an optical air happening or a reflection of iridium satellite..etc.

Daylight Disc over Puerto Rico

Ana Torres, 45, is a computer programmer who lives on the Calle del Parque in Santurce, P.R., near San Juan. On Thursday, "May 23, 2002, Ana woke up" decided to have a snack, "and upon looking through the window she noticed a UFO suspended over the Caguas-San Juan Expressway."
Sra. Torres described the UFO as "shiny and silvery, rounded but appearing to have a tail on one of its sides, which appeared to be part of the UFO itself. In other words, a single piece (object--J.T.) The 'tail' was surrounded by lights all around. The UFO was four blocks away and at a height of 16 stories (165 feet or 15 meters), giving the appearance of a mid-sized car."
Ana Torres "was so excited that she decided to go to the terrace, which is next to the kitchen, to confirm the sighting. The UFO was there and stationary. It was shiny and silvery, made of a material similar to 'stainless steel.' Ana has no idea when the UFO arrived. She only knows that it was there, in a stationary position, for some two minutes. It gave her enough time to reach the terrace, to see it with greater detail. The UFO suddenly darted towards the Caguas-San Juan Expressway. Ana was so 'excited and joyful' at seeing the UFO that she telephoned her father (who lives in the city of Ponce--L.G.) and her friends Yadira, Maritza and Jose to describe her experience."

UFO Landing in Turkey

ANTALYA, Turkey - While scientists and UFO researchers arguing about the existence of "extraterrestrial life," at Antalya, 45 people claimed they saw an UFO. The Santral district inhabitants claimed that they witnessed UFOs landing on the backyard of the Fatma P'r'lt' Primary School and saw an alien being getting out of the unusual craft.
In the principal's office, crying, Murat Esici (age 11), one of the witnesses who had a very close observation says, "He was emitting red rays from his eyes . His hands and feet were iron. He had a very big head and he was 1.80 meters long." It is said that he temporarily lost his voice immediately after his sighting.
Students Zeynep C'p'nar and Nalan D'nmez also claimed they saw an unusual craft and an alien beside it. "His eyes and hands were red and a red light was emitting from his eyes."
OUR PRESIDENT HAKTAN AKDOGAN IS DEPARTING TO ANTALYA TODAY BY THE 14.45 FLIGHT TO INVESTIGATE 45 PEOPLES UFO AND AN ALIEN BEING OBSERVATION CLAIMINGS.
After the bulletins which were broadcast on the national television channels' prime time news and national news papers such as Milliyet, Aksam, and Posta, our president Haktan Akdogan made a phone conversation with Antalya Governor Ertugrul Dokuzoglu and decided to go to the area to investigate the incident more closely.

Daylight Disc over Pensacola, Florida

On Friday, March 15, 2002, at 1 p.m., in Pensacola, Florida , the witness, Ms. Stone, "looked up and saw it already in the sky. I went to get family and friends, and it was gone. It was slightly northwest of me, almost directly overhead."
"The object was a bright silver shiny disk that made no sound and cast no light. It appeared to reflect the sunlight. It hovered and moved in a tight, jerky, circular, even level, pattern. Looked to be about 100 to 200 feet (30 to 60 meters) in the sky, but I am not a good judge of distance."
"The sighting took place for about a minute. I was mesmerized. It was almost like it wanted me to see it. And when I left to get my family and come back, it was gone. Two of my neighbors were nearby and heard my commotion. There are a lot of tall pine trees in my area of Myrtal Grove in Pensacola, and I saw the object through a tiny clearing."

Cylindrical UFO over Endicott, New York

On Sunday, May 26, 2002, at 6:25 p.m., the witness, F.A., "saw a white cylinder flying from the center of the sky, almost directly above me, to the south-southwest. It was flying under two airliners that were flying at their usual altitude.
The object was at about five to ten thousand feet (150 to 300 meters). It made no sound, had no markings. It didn't change shape or color." "When it turned from the east to the south-southwest" over Endicott, N.Y. "the angle was much too sharp to be a normal aircraft. The whole thing (encounter) lasted two minutes. Another family member also saw the same thing."
F.A. described the UFO by saying, "The object was white, looked like the shape of a Tylenol gel caplet but was all white. Speed was approximately Mach-1 Plus." Endicott, N.Y. is on Route 26, near Bignhamton, and is about 200 miles (320 kilometers) northwest of New York City.

"UFO Quote of the Week"
"It followed us during half of our orbit. We observed it on the light side, and when we entered the shadow side, it disappeared completely. It was an engineered structure, made from some type of metal, approximately 40 meters long with inner hulls. The object was narrow here and wider here, and inside there were openings. Some places had projections like small wings. The object stayed very close to us. We photographed it, and our photos showed it to be 23 to 28 meters away."
