On the third day of October, 2004 about 3:00 hours, an unknown object was filmed in Abrantes, Portugal, by brothers, Ricardo (19 years old) and Nuno Machado, (23 years old) along with Nuno's wife Sonia. The UFO, which appeared similar to a shining star that changes color, was filmed for ten minutes. An amateur camera was used with a 320X zoom. Ironically, a friend of theirs in Spain saw the same thing, and he telephoned the brothers about his sighting. Also, additional witnesses from Abrantes, Montargil, and Zamora witnesses the unknown object, and reported their sightings to SIC television, and to the Correio da Manhã Journal. Sonia and Ricardo sent the video footage to the Portugese Air Force for analysis, and have hopes to send a copy to NASA. A few days after examination of the details of the sighting, including film, the Air Force was not able to offer an explanation for the unknown object. Colonel Carlos Barbosa stated that nothing was picked up on radar, although the sighting had numerous eyewitnesses. Could the UFO had been invisible to Air Force radar? Also, the internet site www.correiomanha.pt listed a number of other witnesses to the sighting. Pedro in the A23 road in the Covilhã- Lisbon way, October 5, at 18:45 PM saw one strange object in the sky. Sofia, in Manteigadas, saw the same phenomena, for several seconds in the sky. Sergio Silva saw the same object in the Mountain range of the Lousã, in Campelo, 22:00 PM; a shining sphere that expanded in blue color, several seconds and then disappeared. André observed the same object in the city of Barreiro; a strong light went down at great speed on the area of Estoril- Cascais- Sintra.
