Brisbane, Australia Unknown Object (Patterson)

On March 27, 2003, I received via email a very interesting photograph of an unknown object from Madeleine Patterson (name used by permission) of Brisbane, Australia. After exchanging several emails with her and gathering additional information, I am offering the following account of the circumstances of the taking of the photograph.

On the day November 6th, 1998, Madeliene felt the desire to go outside, and look up into the sky. This was not the first time that she had experienced this strange urge. Several other interesting photos had resulted from these occurrences over the years. As she looked into the sky, she could sense that a "doorway" was opened in the sky. This happening is often referred to as a "temporal doorway." She could feel that something was happening, so she took three photographs over a period of about 30 minutes. She was not able to see anything unusual as she took the pictures, but when they were developed, the unknown object could clearly be seen in one of the photos. The other two photos of the same area did not.

The unknown object in the one photograph caused her to take it to a local newspaper. She gave her permission to have the picture published, and it was shown in a Sunday edition along with an article. A subsequent issue contained a letter which debunked the photograph stating that since there were clouds in the sky that day, that the object must be a drop of rain! She was not contacted by the paper before they ran the letter. Her reply was that though there were some clouds, there was no rain. She had the photo enlarged professionally.

A couple of weeks later, Madeleine was asked to appear on a local television program to discuss the photograph. Her frustration with the process, and hesitancy of being ridiculed caused her to decline the offer. She could not find anyone that she could discuss her account with on an intelligent level. I personally feel that she is an honest, intelligent individual, and I am happy to relate her story and share her photograph with the general public. What could the strange object be? It remains a mystery today.
