The object was light-dark grey (depending on the sun), non-reflective and sparkling red under the grey at times, the larger object had another object, much smaller, invisibly connected underneath it. This object continuously moved and morphed while the main object on top remained unchanged, but equal distance at all times. The bottom smaller object's connection to the larger "mother craft" seemed magnetic, with no lines or ropes visible in any manner to connect it to the upper craft.

It remained perfectly distanced and in sync with the upper larger object then suddenly it started to morph, appearing to "drip" downward and into an invisible glass cup. Now it looked like a sack with enormous tennis balls rotating inside it. My girlfriend cried out for me look, I was outside as well but sitting on the front balcony. I scanned the sky everywhere as I couldn't see my girlfriend only hear her voice.

Finally I saw it about two blocks away,(later after working out all the details we realized it had traveled the 2-3 blocks in a matter of seconds). Jet black to me at that distance, oval with a tail and something moving sporadically underneath it. No real detail could be made out by me other than I know it wasn't an aircraft of any kind. From that distance at my perspective it almost resembled a helicopter with a basket hanging underneath, the basket moving and rotating.
